First time getting Defazio's Pizza and garlic knots. Very, very good. Will be back!!!

Pizza was dry, hardly any sauce. Not much flavor. Will try it one more time to see if it was just that day. Garlic knots were ok, Other place in town had better ones. Won't be ordering that again. read more

This is my 3rd time trying this place! I'm trying so hard to like it but nothing about it is New York. The dough is extremely bland and sauce on pizza is nonexistent. Pizza has zero flavor. Sorry Defazios but it's a no for me. read more

We enjoyed Defazio's! The pizza was huge. The prices are very fair. We had cheese sticks (fried, as they should be - perfectly crispy!), garlic knots (also fried?! They were very good, just surprised us!), and a good ol' pepperoni pizza. My husband and I moved down south from the NE - he is a Yankee through and through - and he swears that this is the closest to northeastern style pizza you're going to find "down here". The garlic knots are off the chain, and you won't be bothered by vampires for months! Their pizza is wonderful and cheesy!

So, it was our first time ordering. We ordered two 18 inch pizzas. 2 orders of the garlic knots and two pieces of cheesecake to see how it all was. With tip it was $99!!!!! The 18 inch pizza is Large no doubt. But I asked for their like supreme pizza and then added three toppings to what she quoted me on what came with it. They do it like a base crust and then charge for all the toppings. The pepperoni one was good. But I asked for extra cheese (additional charge), and if that was extra then they just don't put cheese on their pizza. Because it was the standard. The taste of both were good but my husband's pizza was skimpy. He wasn't a fan. It needed more of the toppings. Garlic knots were good. It's really crazy in there, lots of kids working. Would we go back? Not sure, I doubt it. Service was ok but chaotic. Place looked nice but not much seating. I've been to NY and had the pizza. This is similar, but you don't get what you pay for in my opinion. Cheesecake was a tiny sliver and all you can taste is the graham crackers. That's not a NY style cheesecake for sure. read more

I was debating on 3 stars because it took twice as long to get our pizzas than we were told (and we picked it up). They were slammed. We ordered 2 pizzas and knots. Not a fan of the knots. The large cheese pizza looked amazing. Huge slices. The spices were appropriate for NY style but the crust was thicker than true NY style pizza. Needs to be super thin. It's close. I grew up in the north east and have a favorite NY pizza place in PA and have had true NYC pizza. For this area I would still put Georgi's at the top for Ooltewah Collegedale and NYPD (New York Pizza Dept and Dos Bros as the top tier). This is a new place and I think they'll continue to tweak their pies and make them better. read more

The food was excellent. The perfect pizza with a flavorful crust. The tops were fresh and plentiful. You must try this pizza!!

New pizza place in Collegedale. Fresh Ingredients and staff was very friendly. Ordered a slice of Pep to take for a "test drive". Solid!! Thin and crispy crust if that is your thing. I would definitely go here again and order a large pizza and get the full experience. I will be back and will update post and pics. Not much indoor seating but great place to pick up a good pizza pie. Highly recommend for an everyday casual pizza joint! Well done! read more

Pizza was good. My wife got the biggest calzone she's ever gotten in her life. Service was great. It's kind of small. There's several tables. I ordered food for my son's graduation from DeFazio's Pizzeria. I placed the order and paid for it in the morning, with pick up in the afternoon. I ordered 50 buffalo wings with medium heat level and 30 BBQ wings (and 6 pizzas) and paid $230. When we got the food home, the 50 wings that were supposed to have medium buffalo sauce on them DID NOT HAVE THE SAUCE and were not what I ordered. The wings were not orange like buffalo sauce and no heat to them. I had to apologize to my guests that they were not what I ordered. The BBQ sauced wings were great! I reached out to the owner, Stephen DeFazio, to make it right and he refused. He claims he did the sauce himself and I returned the leftovers for him to check it himself and he blocked me on FB. I don't want this to happen to anyone else so make sure you check your orders before you leave the store. read more

Stopped in for lunch with my mom after seeing an ad on Facebook and was not disappointed! DeFazio's is such a welcomed addition to the community! I didn't manage to get a picture of the slice because I couldn't wait to dig in! I've already been reaching out to friends and family to let them know we have a spot like DeFazio's in Collegedale. Pizza was great, NY style with quality ingredients. Also ordered a Chicken Parm sub to go. Was also the same. NY style and tasty ingredients. Staff was friendly and food delivered in a very reasonable time. This is more of a take out restaurant style, but has 4 tables there if you would like to eat in. I am originally from NY and incredibly fussy about Italian food, but I will say that this place is the real deal and I will be a regular customer moving forward. Give it a try! read more

Not only is this food delicious, this family brings food for the EMS and fire department when they are working to collect toys for the Forgotten Child fund. Let's rate the pizza...I give it 9 out of 10 and my husband agrees. I would have given it a 10/10 but I'm picky with the sauce. Sauce was very flavorful but I like a light amount on my pizza. The crust was amazing!!!! That's getting an 11. It's more of a take out place than sit down. They have 4 tables, 2 hightop 2 regular that seat 4 each. Went during lunch and it was busy if that says anything. They have a special 2 slices and a 16 oz drink $7. The prices were good on the pies as well. Ordered a cheese pie to stay and ordered half cheese half white to take home. I see myself coming back! read more

Been here twice since they opened. Pizza was terrific both times and the wings were also great. The owners were there and super friendly and open to suggestions for items that would be great for the vegetarian clientele. Highly recommend them. read more
