This review is only for their esthetician Ashley, as I have tried their other services. Ashley is BRILLIANT. I used to go to her starting in 2010 and would follow her anywhere! She is friendly, easy to talk to, and just real. Sometimes the women I've seen at other salons can be a bit fake or flaky, but not Ashley. She also knows her stuff. Over the years she has taught me a lot about skincare. At each visit she takes her time to do it right - carefully waxing, tweezing, and everything else. Some staff at other places I've visited can be lazy or careless, but never Ashley. Also her prices are AMAZINGLY LOW. She could charge so much for her level of quality work, but I'm so thankful she's affordable for us folks who don't make that much money! (Lol). Ashley is amazing!!! read more

I have went back and forth about writing this for weeks, as I do not like to give bad reviews to anyone, anywhere.. but every morning that I look in the mirror and am disgusted I can't NOT post this... It started with calling reception: Me: Hello, I'm new to area and am leery of who does my hair. Can you please put me with someone with lots of experience? Her: Well, we have 30 stylists here and they all have a lot of experience. Me: (trusting fool) ok sounds great! I get there and my stylist is about 22 years old. Ok - I am the naïve give the benefit of the doubt person who trusts. Was a bad choice. I left with a pretty good color (did find it funny that we discussed color choice but I did not see a swatch of what the color would be - never experienced that before) But I went with it. HERE'S THE CATCH: I brought in a picture of ME. NOT a model....NOT a concept.. ME. It was a picture of hair 2 months prior. That's all. I only wanted a trim back to that length. ... for a couple days after I kept trying to style hair and it didn't seem right. After looking at it closely, the layers on top were really short (could work with this though) but length on bottom was still far too long. I felt like I had a mullet. Went back. 2nd mistake; went back to her to fix. I got fixed alright. I now have 3 inches of length missing. The problem with this? Short of a year ago I lost about 50% of my hair from stress and illness and this growout was a huge blessing. 3 inches missing is a huge HUGE issue for me. So, even after going back, having her whack too much off because she didn't know how to do simple layers (OH AND I TOOK THE SAME PICTURE OF ME BACK TO HER THE 2ND TIME) I had to call up, owner got involved, put me with Sandy K who did what she could to at least fix what hair I HAVE LEFT. Funny... Owner comes up when I'm in Sandy's chair and says "we will trim your hair for free until I leave area at the end of year." TRIM WHAT? It's all gone already. Also, pats me on the leg, patron-like and says to me "Remember to keep moving - exercise increases circulation and helps hair grow faster." I'm shocked that my mean side didn't come out and that I didn't put two middle fingers up in air. I already work out 5 hours a week anyway - BUT MY HAIR IS STILL GONE!!!! I SHOULD HAVE GOT EVERY DAMN DIME OF MY MONEY BACK. TRAIN YOUR RECEPTIONIST TO UNDERSTAND WHAT "EXPERIENCED STYLISTS" ARE. So upset... still... weeks later.. took so long to grow. BE CAREFUL HERE. Ask for Sandy K, unless you already have someone here who knows what they are doing! Worst fears come true even when I ASKED for experience!!!!!! read more

I love coming here! The staff is very nice and always welcoming! The place is always tidy and it has a great atmosphere. But my favorite reason to make the journey from Columbus to Maumee: BRITTNY HURST. She has been and will continue to be the only person I let touch my hair. Brittny has a uncanny ability to know exactly what I want even when I can't verbalize it. She never fails to go above and beyond, exceeding any and all expectations I had of what my hair would look like. Brittny listens to me inadequately describe what I think I want, looks at the twenty different pictures I show her and yet, somehow, from what I can only imagine is a nightmare of a illustration, creates something magnificent. I do not recommend letting Bex color your hair. I had beautiful dark hair with beautiful highlights that I wanted updated. They had grown out. I was too impatient to wait for my normal hair stylist so I tied Bex. Biggest mistake of my life. She ruined my hair in my opinion. If you look at the pictures (see google reviews), the dark hair is before and the lighter hair is what Bex did. Both were styled by me so I know how to style my hair. All I wanted was to bring my highlights up and darken them, but she essentially bleached all of my hair. She left the bleach on for so long that some of it was purple from the toner. The color now is after both Bex and the owner tried to fix it. My hair was less brittle after the owner fixed it but much of my hair has broken off and its extremely dry. I'm getting married in December so I'm just sick about what she did. I just hope no one makes the same mistake I did. Don't let Bex touch your hair. read more

Marsha- bridesmaid hair Laurie- bridesmaid hair My wedding party looked amazing, I had so many compliments on my nails that 6 people have now called and booked appointments with Valerie! I can not recommend these ladies enough. One stylist named Sara(h) was on my original contract and without reason cancelled two days before the wedding. Luckily the salon was able to replace her with another stylist. I do not hold the salon accountable for her actions but would not recommend booking with someone who may cancel on such an important day, with very little notice. Even more disconcerting, she didn't realize who I was and while getting my nails done the day prior to my wedding she approached my nail technician and requested an appointment to get her own nails done! I wanted to say something to her about cancelling but did not. She is clearly very unprofessional to walk up and discuss herself during an appointment, cancel service contracts, and also she brought her child in who was sitting in a chair while she worked for the duration of my 2 hour appointment On a prior occasion (which I received multiple apologies for from Valerie as he was unattended). read more

If you have curly hair you need to see Lindsey S. I found out about her on Yelp after moving from Chicago to Toledo. I have gone to her twice now and will continue to have her cut my curls. She has a great technique to give texture and volume in just the right places (no more dreaded triangle head and she fixed a botched bang attempt). Plus, she's fun to talk to and is very affordable.
