And I was a bit disappointed that a majority of the library is the second floor, with the first being the cafe, front desk, a little lounging corner, and a kid's space in an entirely different room. So, a majority of noise and people were upstairs, making it a little difficult to concentrate but with some nice headphones you're all good!

But the chairs in the lecture hall... who knew dwarves and hobbits liked going to Fermi? I mean, if you are over 5' tall its like hell... or economy on Spirit with 12" legroom. Dunno about you, but I am NOT a FAN to have 2" distance between your knees and someone's scalp. And VV for my scalp. BONUS: You get cookies and milk/juice after each lecture. AND there is free WiFi (2x) access!

Sugar Grove had built this beautiful new library with a huge expansion, great for more books! This new space blows the old space WAY out of the water and I couldn't be more excited. Not only does this new location have much more to offer, but also has a cute little cafe that serves delicious drinks and treats. They also offer group and individual study spaces, meeting rooms that can be rented for small events, many comfy lounging chairs, a large computer room, a teen zone space, and large section for children. My favorite part of the library, aside from the books, is how involved the library is with the community. They host many family friendly events, movie nights, author signings and talks, offer computer and other hands on classes, and much more! For example, if you have a fine, they offer a food drive for exchange of debt on your account. The librarians are incredibly sweet, helpful, and have great taste in movies and books if you ever need a suggestion. My only complaint, which I wouldn't even really call it a complaint, more of a expectation that let me down is the structure of the building gives the illusion that the library has 2 floors, when really it has high ceilings with one floor. Don't get me wrong, I love the layout and the beauty of the this library, just wish that there was a second floor which would mean more books! How can you go wrong with more books.

It has a giant chick mural, and almost every storytime involves a craft. They have a nice area designated just for teens. You can't walk in without three people greeting you. When…read moreI first moved to Aurora, I was excited that there was a park district gym walkable to my house. I checked out the old Prisco gym and it was ... well, a couple of treadmills and a weight set in a room that was pretty close to an oversized broom closet. Well, after getting some money from the government they completely overhauled the fitness center and now I think the facilities rival some of the premium gyms I've been a member of, including Equinox back in Los Angeles and Lifetime locally as everything is BRAND NEW. All the machines have these massive screens on them, with a variety of apps like Netflix and YouTube that you can use to watch video while you work out. They even support Bluetooth headphones, which you can pair via a little fiddling around in the menus. Cooler yet, if you create a log in on the machine, it saves all your settings so you only need to log in with the one shared username and passwords across all the machines to get access to your same Netflix account and everything else. It's super convenient, particularly if your passwords for these services are complicated. There's a ton of different cardio machines and a full array of weight lifting options. I spend most of my time on the stair machine, but even when I go to Prisco at prime time in the mornings or evenings, there's never a wait for anything. My theory on that is this facility is in this interesting spot among local gyms: Planet Fitness is way cheaper, so if you just care about the lowest pricing that's where you go. On the other hand, if you want to pay a little bit more you can go to the Vaughn center on Indian Trail and have access to the pool and indoor track. For me, Prisco is the Goldilocks gym as it just has what I want: A ton of new equipment. I never used the pool or track at Vaughn, and the low-cost gyms seem like a good place to get MRSA. I do wish the locker rooms were a little nicer, but this is so close to my house I never shower there anyway. They DO have small towel service for towels while you're working out, but if you want to shower there you need to bring your own from home. (Or I guess you could get creative and use a couple of the small towels.) We pay $36 a month for a couples membership, which seems pretty solid. It's not the cheapest place in town, and also not the most expensive. Being in that middle ground seems to make for a super empty gym which I am 100% A-OK with.

She was always barking orders and critiquing your yoga stances loudly in front of everyone. She also would complain about people who eat meat. I'm shy so I don't appreciate getting yelled at in front of other people regarding my yoga technique. Won't be back.
