So even the desk was closing. So when this happens what goes on now. I waited over an hour for an officer to arrive to take a police report yesterday. Nothing was written down so I can only assume he has a great memory. He gave me a card which pointed me to Tucker, GA. I went there first only to be rerouted to Decatur, GA. I have no contact number or email for anyone. Yet all I want to do is amend the report. There must be a better system to this.

It was less than 1 mile from their dispatch location in Tucker. Not to mention that the responding officer called me for directions because he was at "a different location". What? It took 2-1/2 hours to "investigate" a 2-car fender-bender because, as the responding officer said to me, he was confused about what happened and had to call someone for help and explain to him what to do. Seriously? Shouldn't this have been covered in "Vehicle Accidents 101" at the Police Academy? More importantly, if he can't figure out his GPS, and if he doesn't know how to investigate a simple 2-car accident, should he really have a gun?

We were in Buckhead to eat at King + Duke which was a wonderful meal BTW. We head back to the parking lot afterward to find my friend's brand new Audi SUV was broken into and his laptop case with 2 laptops in it missing. The police officer, badge number 2731, a rookie, who had no idea on how to handle the incident. The lady was telling my daughter and I not to call the police, but since the accident was on Hwy 316, a cop pulled over and made a report of the incident. The lady was telling my daughter and I, that she had an issue and had to attend court. The cop took the information, gave her a ticket and let her go. Yes, it was my daughter's fault, however, as a police officer knowing that she had no legal resident card in the U.S., he just let her go, then 2 weeks later, she is trying to fraud my insurance by saying she has an injury in the accident, which never complaint of any pain, and her car was barely damaged. Like I said, the police here much rather protect the illegal immigrants instead of the U.S. military veterans. This is a dam shame on the police department.

Step 1: Officer Gresham kindly highlighted my upcoming court date on each of the violations he doled out, and when my stack of citations proved too thick to staple he provided me with a paper clip form his personal stash. Step 2: Following my absence from court, two officers personally attempted to deliver my summons. After they never found me, the friendly folks at the DPD made sure that they contacted me via telephone to alert me about the outstanding warrant. Step 3: The idea of surrendering myself to the police no longer makes me cringe. Honestly, the hours I spent behind closed doors at 420 West Trinity Place are some of the best I've ever had in the hands of law enforcement. From the first puzzling moments after I sat in a small room wondering, "Am I in jail?" to the rush of relief I felt upon my release, my personal drama was replete with suspense and, ultimately, vindication. Step 4: I consider my $675 expense a donation to the Keep Decatur Law Enforcement Awesome fund. The next time I think about committing license plate-related misdemeanors, the chance to repeat steps 1-3 might just be enough reason to proceed.

Everyone should exhibit a certain decent amount of friendly based upon their career. They are NOT car salesmen. The vending machines were modern and they did have a state of the art Inmate System. Securus/Smart Deposit. I had to use the restroom and it was clean with locks on the restroom to limit any more forms of drama. Who in the heck makes a date to the County Jail? So why would I even think to take a peek at this facility, however the people in the jail were cool as heck. Jails should give YOU EVERY reason to provoke NO return. P.S.
