When we walked into the factory in Rome, we were greeted by Mauro Del Guidice, who gave us a tour of the factory. I made an order for a custom-made handbag. Mauro crafted it himself and mailed it to me in the United States. The quality and craftsmanship were outstanding. I ordered a matching wallet, and they did an excellent job on that item, as well. A year ago we found Del Giudice while in Rome and I picked up a leather bag which turned out to be much MORE practical and lovely than I even thought initially. The proprietor was extremely pleasant and made no pressure to buy. I came across this shop while exploring the Piazza Navona neighborhood. Small shop, beautiful purses in the window. The gentleman behind the counter is the son of the people who started the business in 1959 and he also works making the items they sell. My companion and I spent a fun hour looking at all the choices and colors, then purchased a purse, wallets, key ring and 2 belts.
