So many wind chimes, so much local art and artists from all over represented in the store. I loved that they are caring for 3 cats, whom they've spayed/neutered when they were abandoned. They sell these wonderfully made quilted post cards, and the proceeds go to a fund that helps neutering and spaying the local stray population of cats. We will definitely go back for that one bat I really wanted, but could not afford just yet.

Disappointed! We…read morepurchased a desk with book shelves attached to the top of it, and the cashier said it could be shipped to El Paso from Ruidoso. Unfortunately, when I subsequently contacted the owners to arrange for shipping, they told me that Ruidoso was a "small town" and finding a delivery service was unlikely. With that, we went back to pick it up ourselves. (A six-hour round trip.) The owner did help my husband load it into our Jeep, and told him that the screws which held the two pieces together were in one of the drawers. (We couldn't check ourselves because they had wrapped the pieces in plastic for transport.) Upon returning home, we discovered the screws were not there. (We ended up buying replacements from the hardware store.) The piece is beautiful, but the owners were less than careful in making sure the transaction was a success! I was sad, disappointed and very sorry for the situation, especially since I WAS such a frequent customer. I believe that merchants should take care of their customers, because the customers take care of them!

Plus when is the next time you're going to be in Three Rivers? What are you even doing out here? When taking the scenic route goes too far... Anyway, there is a surprising amount of exceptionally high quality local art/crafts and other things of that nature inside the building, as well as friendly people who seem happy to be there and glad to answer your questions. So get in there and check out the goods and find yourself a unique souvenir from a place that probably no one else that you know has ever been. And don't forget to visit the petroglyph site down the way behind the place. Take a minute and do it. How often do you get to see a petroglyph? Ancient, historic graffiti that tells the tales of way back when....yes...go and see that. Worth it. Take some pics. Don't touch the petroglyphs. Anyway, this is exactly the kind of place that you hope to stumble upon when you take off into the middle of nowhere and so if you're here, you've stumbled upon it. Congratulations. The store has an INCREDIBLE art selection from a favorite New Mexico artist. The small book selection is my favorite as I've found books there which I wouldnt find anywhere else. A great place to stop at while out exploring and an awesome location to catch the sunset.
