Fish was pretty good quality, years better than most other places around (yet not as good as in coastal town, no surprise though). The cuts of fish were pretty good sized, not that super thin crap you get at the cheap places where it's mostly rice. The mini round river with boats and Sushi on top at the central bar was really cute. We ordered off the menu though, got the second largest Set with sashimi, nigiri, rolls... Everything was delicious, especially loved the one roll and their thick sashimi pieces. Added 2 maki rolls and one handroll, also all very good. We were both full at the end of the meal. Food plus 1 bottle of water came out at €54. So basically €27/person for great sushi, definitely fair price and totally worth it. It's not a huge place, I can see it get really busy on the weekends so you might want to make a reservation. We were there during the week for dinner and it was about 2/3rds full. I will definitely be back!

We ordered the Christmas tree special for the 2 of us and it came with lots of rolls, but most of them tasted mediocre. Some of the raw fish weren't even fresh. Also, the sauces didn't go well with the sushi. Maybe my standards are too high because I'm from California. It's sad to say that the sushi at our Japanese supermarkets are better than this. Service was a bit slow, but our waiter was very polite and friendly. If you're looking for a quality Japanese restaurant, this isn't the place to be.

We headed over to Sakura and were immediately welcomed by the Japanese host. He was very patient and quickly arranged a table for us in their quaint covered courtyard. The fact that all 7 of us could drop in on a late Saturday afternoon with no reservation was amazing. Our waiter was at least tri-lingual and very attentive with our requests (not gonna lie...some people in this group are needy). Food arrived fairly quickly and was phenomenal. Some of the best sushi I have had in Europe! 10/10 will be back!

Like another person mentioned, the seat by door with the vent is weird, just ask to sit somewhere else. I didn't really want to put a review, because I wanted to keep this place a secret, but I don't want this place to go under either, with all of the trendy sushi buffets popping up around Wiesbaden. Parking isn't always easy, but I don't mind having to park far and walk a little for some great food.
