FOOD 3/5 Turkey Avocado Panini: Crisp and warm off the panini press, I expected more flavor from the staff recommendation and more sandwich for the $15 price tag. Comparing my sandwich to those online - I think my sandwich may have had less spicy mustard, less time on the grill to melt the Jack cheese to let the flavors meld. Sitting here writing this as i eat my food because this is sooo good and my experience was great. The guy working the counter (maybe the owner?) was super nice and gave me some favorite options. I went with one he suggested, pesto chicken and my god.. the photo says it all. Sooo good. We also ordered some Macaroni salad, and then he threw in some of the potato salad totally on the house just because he wanted me to try to it (great vibes and energy and as a foodie i loveee that). I'm not even a potato salad lover but i took a bite of this and audibly laughed because it was SO GOOD. Pickles on potato and Mac salad?? I ordered a custom vegan sandwich & it was delicious. I would love if they offered vegan meat and cheese. I struggled with ordering delivery. The Toast app was showing delivery as unavailable. DoorDash did not allow any notes, even though they did not offer things like hummus or pickles as options for the custom sandwich. They were missing on the website & Toast app as well. This place was so good!!! It's a small shop tucked into the alleyway behind Lobster West and other stores. There was limited seating so we took our sandwiches to the beach and it was a great picnic :) A couple of other people also came by to pick up pre-ordered sandwiches and take them to-go. He got the pastrami melt with sprouts ($1.50 extra), banana peppers (free) and jalapeños (free). I got the Italian Torpedo with banana peppers. Both were so good, literally 5/5!! In my experience, the sandwiches are on the smaller side compared to other places so I would say the portion is perfect for one person. Not bad! Sandwiches were pretty delicious and he didn't skimp out so my team was happy. He was very kind when I arrived and seemed to aim to please. The place is small, but a couple of outdoor seating areas. We ordered a big order for lunch and it was an hour until we could pick it up but it was pretty worth it. Deli-iCloud is a great spot for lunch and I'm sure frequented by people working in the area. Unless you know it is there you most likely wouldn't see it as it is tucked into an alley of small shops. I ordered the Italian Italian Torpedo (4/5) which is an upscale Italian sub on ciabatta, with a hearty helping of mustard and very light Italian dressing. The size was large, could barely finish! Tucked away down an alleyway of sorts with other small businesses and restaurants, I found deli-icious based on yelp reviews and am here to affirm all the positive ones- got the turkey avocado panini which was absolutely delicious and my mom got the caprese salad which was so refreshing and had a heart amount of fresh mozzarella! Looked for a yummy quick sandwich spot on our way to the beach. Order took 40 minutes from time placed until we received our order. When we first walked in, we had to wait over 5 minutes to even get helped. The caprese was ordered without cheese, yet we were not informed that the pesto was basically all Parmesan cheese- so we were unable to even eat it. We drove from LA for La Jolla Cove during Thanksgiving break. Found this little gem because we needed to pack some food for driving back to LA. I ordered Lumberjack, chicken, egg & cheese bagel, and TBA. They are sooo delicious!!! And the owner and chef are very sweet! Thank you so much for the water and gummies for my kids. My review is only based on a Chef Salad. All the sandwiches look good in the photos but I would describe the Chef salad as the most basic thing you could make and still call it a Chef Salad. Technically it is exactly as the menu says, so I take the blame on ordering this. Additionally, I ordered a side of egg salad and it's basically egg soup.
