I ordered the veggie sandwich with no mushrooms and it came with mushrooms. Annoying but I can get past that. The weird robot thing that delivers your food to you?? I cannot get past that. That thing is an absolute disgrace. First of all, it is so embarrassing to have a robot thing awkwardly inch over to your table while beeping and going "YOUR DELICIOUS FOOD IS READY NOW." Like, can't you just have a HUMAN bring the food to people??? Don't do it. Avoid! Ordered food for a friend and I, which came late. I can forgive that - it's delivered by Grubhub, which is a shit delivery system anyway. The problem was the food. It was cold because of late delivery. No big, I got a club sandwich with a side of onion rings, and friend got lasagna. There was no lasagna, so she ended up with baked ziti. For the cost, the sandwich was pathetically small. The side of onion rings? 3 rings. A dollar an onion ring. The pasta? Is that sauce straight out of the jar? Yes, I think it might be. We also got some overpriced soda; a six pack of coke. They gave me 4 regular cokes and two diets. We don't drink diet. They didn't call to even say, hey, do you want a Sprite instead? I have ordered from Deli Italiano several times over the last few years, but my past two orders have been extremely disappointing. The italian sub sandwich was on incredibly dry bread, and was pathetically skimpy on toppings. The Philly cheesesteak had VERY LITTLE meat and the steak on it was overcooked and shriveled into bits. Lettuce came on it, even though it is not listed as an ingredient and I couldn't 'opt out' of it in the online menu. (see order pic attached) The pizza I ordered had strange little balls of processed meat (see photo), which I assume is their 'version' of ground beef? The cornmeal normally lightly dusted on just the bottom of pizzas, is all over the crust. Unappetizing. So disappointed. Wish I had just ordered Papa Johns. read more

Classic Italian food as the name gives away, but that is not the best part of this food joint. That would be the staff. Always welcoming, hard working and pleasant, even when some of the patrons are not. I've ordered delivery from here multiple times and the food is always good. The pizza is good, the calzones are good, the garlic bread was okay as well. The calzones are also huge which is awesome and it is plenty of food. My one complaint was that delivery took a while, over an hour usually, but as the food is consistently delivered hot, I can't complain too much. read more

We got the meat lovers and the supreme. The dough is thin and had the same consistency as Mellow Mushroom. The meat lovers was okay, but the supreme was a little disappointing. There was a little some thing something that was missing. Maybe the marinara was lacking the robust flavor. Perhaps fresh basil or more herbs/slice may enhance the overall taste. What was AMAZE-balls...their chicken wings. Most pizzerias bake their chicken, but these were moist and crispy. I think they bribe their chicken first. I may not ask for delivery for their pizza, but there wings are a different story. Totally worth it! Thought they changed the sizes to 8 or six instead of the 20 or 40. read more

This location is very close to our home and we frequent Deli Italiano when rushed for dinner three or four times a month. Pizza is OK (step above Domino's). The salads on the menu are actually pretty good. The problem I have with this place and what finally made me give up on Deli Italiano is the online ordering and the deceptive special offers always listed on their special deal page. This has occurred in the past but it has been something I just ignored and moved on with my life and pizza. Finally, the last straw....after searching for the Special Deals on their site, I ordered two large pizzas and two salads. I plug the promo code in from the deal page. At this point, I can't really tell if the promo code took and there is no reflection of the deal code offsetting the price. So, I return back to the deal page to check to make sure I have the correct code, go back to the summary page, add the code again, nothing....at this point, I start the order over again thinking I am somehow not ordering correctly. Finally, I give up and just put a note in the special instructions area explaining the promo code didn't take before finally completing and paying for the order. I head up to the store to pick up the pizza and ask for my order. When the cashier brings the pizzas, I see the receipt including the note mentioning that the promo code didn't take during ordering. I ask if the price can be adjusted. The cashier tells me there is nothing he can do and that deal code is probably no longer valid. I tell him it is right there on their site and the code should be valid if on the site. Again, he tells me there is nothing he can do and tells me if I have an issue I need to take it up with the owner. So, Mr. Deli Italiano Owner....your pizza is OK, your salads are pretty good and your calzones are OK as well BUT the hassle of ordering and your deceptive promo deal practices just pushed my business a few minutes down the street to Lost Dog. read more

I got the philly cheesesteak thinking it be a safe bet and that there is't really a way to mess up a simple sandwich like that. i was wrong this was without a doubt one of, if not the WORST sandwiches i'v ever had in my life. the people gave me about half the meat of a full sandwich and just piled on lettuce thinking i would't notice. When I first tried Deli Italiano's it was in great falls va and I thought wow I might've found the best pizza place every. BUT THEN I went to this one in Arlington because it's closer to where I live and I can order delivery and it turned out to be even better. The inside is very clean. All of the staff is very friendly they even remebered my name which makes the experience more personal and memorable!! Love this place definitely worth more than 5 stars. The delivery service I received was horrible! my order arrived late when I called the location after an hour waiting the manager said we had a rush and my order was out for delivery. When the driver arrives late my order wasn't complete the driver says I'm just the driver! ( I guess drivers don't check to see if they have everything in the order), then he says that he would give me the $2.00 for my fries. Which means that I would be paying $14.00 for a sandwich instead of $16.00, so I called the location back and spoke to Ivan the manager after specking with him I didn't get a good resolution to the issue so I didn't even want the food anymore. Deli Italiano has become a staple in my life ever since they opened a few months ago. The owner, Yasser, and manager, Basem, are two of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. They also have a great sense of humor. If you tell Basem your name, he's sure to remember it the next time you come in. In fact, he can usually recognize your voice if you call for delivery! Now for the food. They have a HUGE menu, which can be pretty intimidating when you first walk in. I would say take your time looking it over before you order, but that would imply that you have to pick the right thing. At Deli Italiano, EVERYTHING is delicious! I've probably had nearly half of the items on the menu, and they were all delicious. The steak and cheese is to die for and has quickly climbed the ranks as being the best in town. The pizza is classic New York style with an amazing crust and sauce. The 1st reviewer, Harry, questioned whether or not it is hand tossed. Let me tell you that the dough is freshly tossed for each pizza. That brings me to my last point. Deli Italiano uses only the freshest ingredients in everything that they make. Getting the chicken souvlaki? It's been marinating all day long and isn't frozen. How about the cheeseburger? Yup, non-frozen and freshly made patties. All in all, Deli Italiano is the complete experience. Great atmosphere, fresh food, and gigantic menu full of items for everyone. Awesome place! Just moved here from New York, and it feels like I'm back in the Bronx. Seriously - quality pizza and a massive menu. Plus, the staff was very energetic and helpful. Specifically randy (I believe that was his name). He walked me through the menu and seemed quite knowledgeable with all of the items , new and old. I am thrilled that this place is so close to me ! In my eyes, quality Italian food goes hand in hand with having a warm and welcoming when entering the restaurant , and randy and his staff were completely in stride with meeting both my standard with famIliarity and delicious, rustic Italian food. You know you joined the right gym when on the first Monday of every month 30-pizzas show up in the lobby at 5pm. I happened to be getting ready to leave just as beautiful towers of bread, sauce, and cheese from Deli Italiano were being stacked on long tables next to the front desk. Needless to say, I headed back to the locker room, washed up, picked up my gear, and grabbed a slice of cheese to go. Sauce had a nice flavor, cheese was fresh, and the spicing brought it together as a solid combination. Had that nice NYC fold. Crust looked a bit too symmetrical to be hand-made, but the taste was good. I might have to stop by Deli Italiano for more than just one slice. read more

I came here with a friend before I dropped him off at the airport and the food and service we received were great. We were greeted by just about everyone who worked there when we walked in the door. They have an extensive menu so it was a little difficult to decide what we wanted, but when we finally made our decision, we were both happy. He got the Original calzone and I got the Meatball sub. We cleared both of our plates so at the very least the food was delicious. I can't speak to how his calzone tasted but my friend finished it all so must have been really good. My meatball sub on the other hand was one of the best I've ever had. The bread was perfect - it wasn't over toasted and it had just enough marinara on there to compliment the sandwich. It wasn't sloppy to eat. The meatballs were delicious and I would definitely come back for that sub alone. The prices were fair for the area and originally we had planned on going to the BBQ place on the strip but it was closed so it was a nice surprise to come here and hit the food jackpot. read more
