Guy was incredibly rude and absolutely destroyed my nails. I opted for the Gel X, and he burned me all the way to my nail bed. I opted for this for less damage, but the opposite happened. Won't be back, and I'd avoid using if I were you. They just want to drill the crap put your nails and will ruin your nail beds. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I phone ahead and made an appointment for a time that worked for my work schedule.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Arrived slightly early and waited until a nail Technician was available. They were very busy with many mother/daughter pairs and groups getting ready for the holidays. I waited and then was shown and seat in the side and left with pick a color. I was having my gel nails removed and reapplied. They didn't have the same color so I picked a reasonably close color. Then waited some more. I was finally seen by the owner/site manager who applied the acetone soaked cotton and foil to my nails to soften the gel. Then I waited some more. I felt like I waited longer than the walkins. Finally a technician rushed over and tended to my gel nails and moved very quickly, darting glances across the room behind me. It took two weeks for cuticles to recover as they were so ravaged by the technician who pulled and tore at them to the point of pain. My nails - when finished - had some bubbles from dirt/grit on the nail (or in the gel?) and had an uneven surface. The technician was rushing and my fingers paid the price. I am including photos from two days after. Yes my hands are dry (I wash my hands far too often...) but you can see the quality of the gel nail work and my cuticles. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The owners Tina and Tyler are so nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The shop itself is elegant with a wonderful atmosphere, great customer service and updated skills. Tyler did my nails and he made sure I was satisfied every step of the way. Quality of service and professionalism was worth the experience. This was my first visit but will not be my last. This is my 2nd visit, for a pedicure, to this newly opened Holly Springs Nail Salon. Still very clean and everyone is very friendly. I made an appt. But didn't get soaking until 15 min later. I don't see much difference between the $32 pedi and the $48 pedi, (clay mask was lame) I think my technician was tired as it was after 5pm. I'm only giving it 2 stars because the first two times they did great. The third time I went to get a pedicure and gel on my nails. My pedicure was at most 15mins and my toes were patchy color. My nails weren't cured properly and I had to go back the next day because they had bubbles a with liquid gel polish. They fixed it didn't charge me, I believe the owner did them so they came out great. I went again and brought someone to get pedicures. I was so embarrassed again our pedicures lasted 15 mins. My toes weren't even clipped from the sides they looked like a crown or something she only clipped them straight and the corners were sticking out . The gel peeled off the next couple days. My friend and I had to fix our pedicures as soon as we got home. Not going again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The lady also just got up and left without saying anything. The first 2 or 3 times I went I thought the service was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went to see Tina for a full set and found her to be rude and rough to the point of making me uncomfortable, but my nails did come out nice so I figured maybe she was having a bad day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I brought my daughter in for her birthday. The nail technician seemed annoyed to have to do her nails. Refused to change the color on one nail because it would take too much time and it "would not be good for her nail".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Mind you this is just a regular polish not gel or dip and we were asking for a change on one nail. She created a hostile experience for my daughter on her 14th birthday. So unneccessary. The location and ease of getting to the salon from my home are not worth receiving poor treatment and services. She said she couldn't do my daughters nails (even though we scheduled with her) because she was leaving for the day and proceeded to stay the entire time we were there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Just felt like a slap in the face. To start off my mom and I had an appointment @10:30 and wanted to try this place out for the first time. We get there at 10:33 and my mom gets called over to start taking her polish off. I wait around 30 mins before I even get called over to start, so at this point it's past 11. I sit down next to my mom and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the lady talking to her keeps saying she's not allowed to get what she wants (a french tip with glitter instead of white) so I just suggested chrome instead since it's sparkly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]As I sit down the lady proceeds to ask me what color I would like and I tell her I wasn't even given any colors to look at. She hands me one book with very limited options for colors so I just decide to get french tips as well because I don't like any of the colors given to me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My hands are in tinfoil and in a glove at this point and I proceed to wait another 20-25 min. At this point my fingers are starting to burn so I decide to take the tinfoil & gloves off myself as I am still waiting for someone to help me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A lady gets seated next to me and is given more color options than I was to choose from (a regular of hers), so that had upset me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As the lady is doing my french tip she barley knows what she is doing and I have to correct her several times. The lady next to me at this point is almost finished with her nails and has this gold color around her french tip which was similar to what my mom was asking for. I proceeded to say I would like that if it isn't too much trouble. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After my nails are done the lady disappears and I don't see her again and wasn't given any directions so I just go to wash my hands.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We come back to pay and the price is just ridiculous, my moms cost $81 and mine cost $65. They charged for every little thing for example; chrome +$20, cut down +$5, the gold line i got +$10, etc. Was outrageous for terrible service I will never be coming here again. My nails were very dry and gross feeling when leaving, wasn't offered a drink, no warm towel or lotion. Very terrible service, probably the worst i've ever experienced. read more
