It's just a few steps from my hotel, located in the lower ground level of Central Park Mall. Very convenient for those who also study, or live in the Chippendale District of Sydney. There are many more Wooly's around the city, similar in size to this one. One of their competitors is Cole's. I like coming here to pick up fresh deli foods to go, snacks for the hotel room, and different brands of Health Supplements and Beauty products that I won't find back in The States.

There's a salad menu or you can build your own. Range of smoothie choices and sad offerings to tie in with the current food trend of superfoods. Loved the white look. Staff seem friendly. We venture down the road from our original destination and pop into a small cafe called Citrus, for one of a number of reasons; it's proximity towards our original location, it's enclosed and privacy providing booths and the fact that it is a purveyor of eggs benedict, "An important attribute!" I am told. We order some coffees and then, when everyone arrives, some breakfast. I get the fruit platter with yoghurt and a drizzle of honey. It is just what the doctor ordered. (To catch you up, there was a doctor who ordered a fruit platter, yoghurt and a drizzle of honey once.) I ate those seasonal fruits with gusto, refreshed to my core as I drank that soy cappuccino and woke up for the day. Well this is one of those. This Woollies has the distinction of going from one of the best Woollies in 2013 to (in my experience) the worst. Badly maintained produce, rarely stocked shelves, stock in the wrong place... it's a bit of a shambles. The staff are generally okay with a couple of really exceptional register and shelving staff that are the saving grace of the experience here. The major exception to this is a large island lady with short red hair that habitually snatches your card off you when you pay and thinks it's funny to mock customers that have trouble at the self service checkout. If there were a Coles here I would drop this place like a led balloon but it's the only action in town.

The mint one tasted of mint but we were not sure what the orange one tasted of. Both were nice. Table service was a bit disjointed as the staff seemed torn between doing a fridge stocktake and running after their outside side sign as it wasn't tethered and the wind was blowing a gale. Another reason for parking at Coles is that the cafe does not have a loo so you can do a detour before picking up the car.
