The parking area is a little hap-hazard. You can park right outside on the forecourt if you are lucky, but when collecting your vehicle, may find you have to walk 100m up the road to get it back! The prices are the going rate for garages, not exactly cheap, but having experienced their workmanship many times, one place that can be recommended. They usually give you an accurate time for completion of work as well as price estimation.

Of course all sorts of horrible images flashed through my mind, firstly involving death on the motorway and then second an expensive or impossible repair. Fortunately we managed to make it to our destination, the lovely town of Coverack, in one piece. This garage was recommend to us by someone living in the village and at first I was sceptical. It really doesn't look like much. I wasn't even sure they would be able to fix whatever the problem was as the only sign I could see was about tyres. We dropped in to see if they would look at the car and were booked in for the next morning. I dropped it off first thing and I had new break pads and disks fitted by lunchtime. Whilst I was waiting for my lift back into town the car was already up with the wheel off and I got a pretty comprehensive lesson as well as explanation of what the fault was, a service I have never heard of anywhere else. Far from the cliché intimidation everyone I spoke to was really friendly. I went for a drive with the mechanic, chatted to the man in the office who introduced me to his dog specially as we are both called Rosie and as I already said a murk free explanation of what happened. All in it cost me about £200, I have no idea whether that is reasonable but in the space of a few hours I was completely relieved of worry and able to enjoy the rest of our holiday.

The mechanics are very professional and helpful and go out of their way to assist and explain problems if and when they occur. VW car servicing is not cheap as the cars are built using quality materials. However, having said that, they do their best to ensure you are happy and give me a quality courtesy car each time mine is in for a service. The sales team are good too. I was pleased with their friendliness and help when buying my Mk 5 Golf. The free coffee is a bonus too. Overall I would rate this garage as excellent so well done.

The staff are friendly and accommodating and will make every effort to carry out any short notice maintenance. The engineers are qualified in all the usual requirements of a car mechanic including MOT for both petrol and diesel vehicles, car service, tyre replacement with track and balance and all repairs are considered. The garage are always busy and booking is a must to ensure you get in on time for your MOT. The only negative for them is they are a little on the expensive side.
