Then we ordered breakfast, they took the order and they came back at 1 PM saying we can't order breakfast because breakfast is over at 1pm and we have to order lunch. when it turned 1 , my husband only ordered bread with jam and a boiled egg, my daughter and I wanted to order lunch, they came back and told him he couldn't order the breakfast anymore, super weird, we ordered a flatbread and it was doughy and it was really undercooked, also took about 45 minutes to receive our food once ordered. The restaurant is pretty big and there is a lot of tables. It was never fully packed the times I have come which is ok for me as I am a lone eater on business travel. The vibe inside is like a lounge almost. Purple lighting and a good variety of house music playing. First time I did not know how the restaurant worked. So for the non Deutsch speakers, you order at the bar and collect your cutlery and find yourself a table. They will then bring the food to your table . It was easy tonight since I was too tired to trek around Wuppertal for dinner and it is literally next door. I don't get to have lamb often so whenever I see this on a menu I will usually try it. The first time I had the Lammhüfte dish and tonight the Lamm-Medaillons. Both dishes were amazing! If I remember correctly, the Lamm-Medaillons dish had a sweeter sauce than the Lammhüfte. I think I prefer the Lammhüfte as the sauce was more like a gravy and not as sweet.. For dessert, I had the Katajef. Oh my this dessert was very good. The serving size is good for two but since I am a lone traveler I had to eat both servings. I highly recommend this place. Not only is the food very good, the people are very nice. They do get busy as this is a popular restaurant so one must be patient. It might be good to know that for the non deutsch speaking customers they do have english menus and some of the servers do speak english. So this was very helpful for me and I really appreciated.
