What exactly is the issue with online logon? Sometimes it just doesn't work. After putting the logon credentials, the window goes blank and begins to spin and never navigates to the next screen. While I personally have a few layers of security; I sometimes alternate between email and text and the email starts to take close to 30 minutes to show up, by which time if you're on a timer, you may not make it. I would have thought if there is a maintenance effort or some form of patch/upgrade to the system, customers should by all means be notified so we can be better prepared. Regarding taking a loan; don't bother with DCCU they won't give even if you have a fat bank account. However, I absolutely enjoy the using this credit union in comparison to BofA and the likes. read more

This location is very convenient. I have never had an issue finding parking because I always park in the larger parking area vs trying to get directly in front of the door. I always walk right in and have never waited longer than 5 minutes, if that. I use this credit as a Shared CU Service location for my main credit union but I will be opening an account here based on the convenience and great customer service. read more

Literally started my account with this credit union 5 years ago, and I was so excited to finally be done with the BS of banks. Turns out they are still a bank, they just call themselves a credit union. Customer service is sub-par, and they do not give a crap about customers like they pretend they do. My CU is in California and is part of the same CU system that Delta is so I use this as my Atlanta service center. I have never had any issues with depositing checks or anything that others seem to have had. My only issue is that i used to get bank checks (aka cashiers checks) to pay rent with and they used to have free bank checks and now they are $3 and I think money orders are like $1 or $2 but I can go next door to Publix and get a money order for $.89 so I don't even worry about that part and plus our complex now has online pay so zero worries. I do have to make a copy of a check to be deposited and fax that to MY bank before my CU will update my account balance but that has nothing to do with Delta CU. I don't have an account directly with Delta but as a service center, i've had no worries! read more

The Delta Community Credit Union is ruining my life. I made the mistake of refinancing my most important asset... my home. I started the process last December. It took 4 months to complete. During this time, they lied about my closing dates weekly, increased the costs, and failed to live up to the Good Faith letter they mailed. Here we are 8 months since I started this process... and still it is a nightmare that won't end. They refuse to believe I have insurance on my home, even though I've sent them documentation multiple times, faxed it, and delivered it in person. I've given them State Farm's agent's phone numbers. I've done everything they've asked. And They have now charged me over $2000 for duplicate insurance that I already have. In addition, I just learned tonight that they haven't been paying my taxes! They've been collecting Escrow each month. But they haven't paid out a cent. I am now several weeks delinquent with both the CITY and the COUNTY and owe penalties, interest, and back taxes. In addition, my co-worker at has been billed over $3000 for duplicate car insurance that he already has on an auto-loan that he got through them. The Delta Community Credit Union is absolutely the worst banking experience I have ever had. Last year, they changed my address and sent all my personal account information to another family-- thank God it was an honest family-- when they accidentally changed my account address. (I haven't moved in 9 years.) This list goes on. It's not easy to switch banks these days, but that's exactly what I'm in the process of doing... before I lose everything. I just switched over to Delta Community after one too many bad experiences with my current bank. I went in to make a deposit today and their computer systems were down. Kristen assured me that if my account became overdrawn because the deposit didn't go in on time, they'd refund the fees. Turns out I didn't even have to worry because by the time I got back to work, my deposit was sitting in my account. When I was shopping for a car, they gave me a really great rate on a loan. It was far better than what most other dealers were offering me and without a co-signer. I'll definitely be using other similar services from them because they were so easy to work with. read more

Thank goodness for CU service centers! I was grateful the bank was open on Saturday. I was pleasantly surprised to find a completely different setup than the traditional bank. Each rep had a kiosk rather than a long counter separating the patrons from the employees. I really felt one on one with with the bank teller. I wish I remembered the young lady's name who helped me, but she was very friendly and we chatted like old friends. My transaction was done quickly and easily. I have been a customer for over 2 years with this bank and I have always deposited a large amount of money. I recently tried to apply for a car loan under $28k and they disapproved me. They inputted the wrong loan amount that I needed financing for, amongst other things. I am making $6k+ per month and my credit score is perfect. I have NO debt. They told that my credit score is lower than it actually is and said I have multiple debts. A lie. Those accounts were paid on time and closed (i.e. my very high credit score). I believe their intention was to have me pay a higher APR. Delta Community Bank is NOT on yours side. The bank manager Raj, did not want to give me a low APR. They submitted my application WITHOUT my confirmation. That can't be legal. They claimed they would fix their errors on the application at the end, and voila, they submitted my application without my authorization. They submitted an application filled with THEIR errors. We ended up going to another bank that is more reliable. Don't waist your time with them and dont believe their promises! If a person who makes $6k+ per month, and has a very high credit score can't get a small loan....well, consider those who makes less. Very disappointed! read more

I feel like a majority of these reviews are in regards to the company itself, and not this actual store location. As far as the company, I can't say much about it. I haven't been a member very long (I'm still less than 30 days in), but I CAN speak for this location which I actually frequent many times a week the past few weeks. It's wedged next to Publix, which can be a little misleading when using a Map application to find it. Especially considering Publix has a lot of Presto! ATM machines, which the network uses. So I originally though that this was an ATM location, and not an actual location. It seems like the parking here can get pretty tight, since they share the space with a couple of other buildings, a grocery store, and a fast food place. I've never actually had an issue, however. It seems like the traffic in and out of the CU is pretty timely, which is a blessing when I need to do something quickly. I'm always greeted with a friendly smile, which is nice. There are usually only about 2-3 people on duty around noon-1, at least. Times usually vary between how long I've spent in there. I've been the only one in line, and I've also been the 4th of 5th person in line before as well. They seem to address issues pretty well, and I can usually make it out within 30 minutes if I'm the 4th or 5th person in line. Recently, I re-financed with this CU from Wells Fargo (which I hate, and it sucks). I will say that took.. A while. I came in with all of the paperwork I needed (for future reference, a 10 day payoff letter which you need to get mailed to you, a copy of the title which you can also get mailed to you by your previous financer, and the last two paystubs). Despite having all of this paperwork, it took me a little over 3 hours from start to finish. I waited for 40 minutes. It looked like someone came in after me by about 15 minutes, but for some reason they were served before I was. I'm not sure if this was normal, but I was verrry late from my lunch break. Though I could have left, I was of the mindset that "It will all be over soon." Despite that, the guy I worked with (Kyle) was very congenial and charismatic and helped make the time pass more quickly as we waited for my re-financing to get approved. And, honestly, 3.5% is CONSIDERABLY better than the 7% I had with Wells Fargo, so I am exceptionally happy. I hope this CU and I have a long, happy relationship together because so far.. I have an excellent credit score and wasted a hard inquiry from the credit bureaus to receive the worst service ever closing a loan request. First let me note that this review is of Delta Community Credit Unions services as a company, combined with the staff. My previous review remains dead on, they have incredible staff that are welcoming and there to help. Kyle is a friendly bank associate that remembers us anytime we return. You cannot go wrong from a customer service and interaction experience. Where I struggle is with the technology of Delta CU. I opted to switch to a local CU after a hiccup with my bank that prompted me to move part of my savings out of that particular branch. The big drawbacks are their website, and iPhone app. I think it is great to have an iPhone app but it was horrible. Both items are supposed to be upgraded in 2012, potentially.... Website - First, you cannot have a user id, you have to use a, what I would call, crazy long account number to login. After you login the layout looks like something a very low end company put together. The recent transactions are clunky, to say best. If you want to download your info, they only supported csv, or the connection to Quicken. Some banks charge for the Quicken connection but I don't like Quicken and still utilize MS Money. This was a big set back for me with this bank. Online check deposite becomes available after 90 days, regardless how much you have in your account. The limit is only $500 which means I have to go in most the time anyways. Online Bill Pay was horrible, adding a payee took several steps, and way too much information. Allow me to enter in my information and then lookup the particular provider. This website was more trouble then it was worth, first indicator, bail on this. Mobile App - I would call it more an app to see your account balance. If you want to have something similar, sign up for mint.com. You may not get the ability to pay bills, which I don't think I had on their, or could use but horrible app. Don't forget that crazy long account number has to be entered everytime you open the application. Support / Inquiries - The CU told me to utilize the support through the website. It took several days to hear back, it seemed pointless option. My bank offers bill pay, it receives the bill from whatever I have, utility, etc, and then I can set it to pay in full, how long before, a partial amount, etc. When I look at the ratings on Yelp, and what the one star is "Eek! Methinks not" - I have to give it one star because it's not just I've seen better, i tried it and Me Thinks Not is the perfect description. If it was based solely on service it would be a 5, but at the end of the day, it was the total banking experience of Delta CU. read more

Small business owner - left a standard commercial bank for the customary reasons. The staff at this branch - both commercial and personal banking are lovely. They really try. However, there are real issues out of "corporate." The on line system is cumbersome and frequently down. Days go by where you can't log in to your account or execute bill pay. The Quickbooks interface hasn't been working for days, when you call customer service, their own systems are frequently down so they can't help you and when you do get someone, the response is often, "Yeah, we know that's an issue. Keep trying!" KEEP TRYING!!!! Even the ATM is subpar. It doesn't accept all bills/all checks and you end up having to go into the branch (so are obligated to their open hours.) Greetings Sir or Madame, First let me say that ever since opening my checking and savings account 3 years ago I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with your institution. If I recall accurately I have referred more than six new members that have all said that if I wouldn't have spoken so highly about my experiences with your institution, that they would have never switched from their previous banks. After two years of consistent responsible budgeting practices I have been able to rebuild my credit and establish a pretty good relationship with your bank; however, within the last 3 months my confidence, security, credit, and piece of mind have all been completely tarnished by unprofessionalism, lack of sympathy, pathetic customer service, and the worst display of inconsistent information among colleagues I have ever experienced in my life. I can honestly say that it's beyond embarrassment every time I attempt to explain my experience with getting my car loan processed and utilizing the new platinum rewards credit card. At the Hammond Drive location I was informed that I was approved for a Platinum Rewards Visa with a limit of $5,000, which was a sound of relief considering I had so much to take care of financially in March. Well... the card worked for one day before I experienced it declining my charges every day afterward. Every single day afterward my credit card declined. Every day afterward I called customer service and experienced having to wait on hold for an average of 2 hours at least. Every day afterward I experienced having to explain my situation to at lease 4 member-care specialists - why? - Because not one agent took the initiative to pass on the information of my initial explanation before transferring. I sat a multiple gas stations with no gas in the tank, on the phone with customer service, for 2 - 3 hours on several occasions, as a result of my card declining. I want to put more emphasis on my card declining EVERYDAY for at least 15 days consecutively. I want to put emphasis on the fact that on two occasions I had a member care specialist hang up on me out of frustration and inability to explain how my credit card could decline without any department verifying via phone call or text whether my purchases were done by me like they ALWAYS have done with my check card. I'm a special-needs member that has been in 3 vehicular accidents within 18 months where I have been struck from behind on all occasions. I walk with a cane and sometimes with a neck brace. I am also a Summa Cum Laude and Poet Laureate graduate, and have been studying for my MBA since February 2015. I'm a member of the National Society of Leaders and Success. I'm also a filmmaker and music producer in Atlanta, and sometimes I am required to provide for the projects that I am involved in depending on the gig. Time is a tool that must be used wisely or else I have no means to support myself. In my profession "time" is a scarce entity and if you're the one who causes a director to not make their time quotas in shooting, you will become BLACKLISTED and NEVER find work in this town again. As a result of this credit card not working when needed, I had to completely deplete my checking account and my savings. I have been fired on two projects since receiving this card because I could not fulfill the time requirements of four significant errands in a timely fashion as a result of being on hold with your member care agents. I'm not seeing where this is my fault. When I noticed my accounts were at zero, that's when I called and tried to speak with supervisors, and not one supervisor could direct me to anyone who could take my complaint, and that's when I was encouraged to write this letter to explain my desire to discontinue my relationship with Delta. I honestly thought that my credit would improve working with a credit union. The direct opposite has happened to me in this situation. I have dried all funds from other accounts and credit cards just to stay afloat. My credit has taken a serious drop as a result of credit card utilization. Still not seeing where this is my fault because I NEVER heard of a credit card declining EVERY day for approximately 20 days consecutively after receiving the card. Have you? As a customer I strongly suggest something to be done for me to maintain my business. If not, I will be forwarding this to Clark Howard and all news stations that are interested. With my credentials and this circumstance, I'm more than sure that there's a young hungry-for-a-name-journalist just waiting for a story that will undoubtedly launch his or her career. I switched from Bank of America to DCCU once I realized BAC may have excessive liabilities, and that the new banking rules give creditors preference to depositors in case of bank failure. Long-time customers are now just a credit score. I've been a member of the CU since it was Delta Employees Credit Union. I joined in November of 1996. Since then, I've taken a number of personal, unsecured loans, as well as my mortgage through this credit union. My income over the duration of my membership has ranged from my starting pay of $45,000 back in 1996 to my current income well in excess of $100,000. Never did I have a problem getting a loan. In fact, there were some hairy situations like post 9/11 when I filed for divorce and my credit was dinged. I went to the GO location in Atlanta and the rep looked at my payback history on DECU loans and went "behind the curtain" to talk to a supervisor and my loan, which was originally declined, was approved. This happened more than once. In fact, in March of 2015 I went in to take out a $66000 loan for a 2014 Corvette and walked out that day with check in hand for the dealer. My payback history counted. Not anymore. All told, I've paid back approx $100k in loans to DE/CCU and never ONCE a day late as all were direct deposit. So when I was turned down for a paltry $1k "holiday loan" in December of 2017 I went to the local branch in Sandy Springs and was told I was declined because I had over a 100% chance of going bankrupt based on my credit card ratios. Astounding. A year later, still no BK filing and never will, and I was turned down again for a paltry loan despite my pristine payback history with DCCU and documented income of $120k last year. I went down to my long-time contact at the GO and she confirmed that there is no longer any discretion. You are a NUMBER and nothing else. Bottom line, at DCCU you are just a credit score. Nothing more. Zip. Nada. Zero. This once great, family-type of institution is now a Wall Street slave with zero leeway outside your credit score. I was customer for 5 years and did not expect to have something like that when i really need help. They have put my check on hold for 11 days when I was trying to buy a house. As a result I have to extend my closing date. Branch manager Jaime Benitez was not help at all. This used to be a good credit union but no more. I can't even get thru to them on the phone today. The system is down and I need to print documents for my accountant apt on monday (this is friday) and cannot get online. I drove to the branch and they needed to charge me for printing my statements ... no customer service here. I have very little contact with them but in this instance they should have printed my documents for free as I could not at home. read more
