This is a Water's Edge Restaurant review only . The Delta Prince Edward Hotel is most likely the only 4 or 5 star hotel in Charlottetown. Always was. No other hotel can touch it. The Water's Edge Restaurant needs a major upgrade. The service was great. The food was unbelievably bad for a hotel of this class. We went Friday night and while the hotel was full with a convention, the restaurant was almost empty. Very disappointing since the hotel had a great kitchen at one time. read more

We got the very last room available on the night we arrived. It was an accessible room, and it was fine for us. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, and the staff is helpful and kind. The bedroom was clean and had a great temperature. Everything we could ask for after booking the hotel after 8 PM, when the air conditioner at our Airbnb was not working. Thanks, Delta! We highly recommend you make a visit to Tyler in the lobby bar for drinks and dinner! read more

We stayed here for 4 nights using points and got the 5th night free. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to make us happy. Our room was fairly large and they put a cot in as requested for our son. The lobby area had fresh popcorn in the evenings and on Canada day they had cake and macaroons as well (no charge). Our room had a window overlooking the water and Queen Street....perfect for watching the fireworks from the warm indoors. The internet wasn't working well and the tv was not connecting to Netflix or other channels. The service guy tried to fix it but could not. The housekeeping was inconsistent. One day they didn't tidy the washroom or leave more toiletries...just rolled the towels. I wish I knew there was coin operated laundry machines as I would have packed half the clothes. Great location on the water with lots of restaurants and the Confederation centre within walking distance. read more

We have stayed here both times in Charlottetown and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. Location is the best as it's right at the water on Queen St. Anything you want or need is right there!! The good sized rooms are very comfortable, clean and have great views. Our room the last stay was on the seventh floor over looking the bay and it was great for watching the Canada Day fireworks blasting from Victoria Park!! The reception desk staff really take care of you, they made great suggestions and booked reservations for us and steered us in the right direction for all our needs and desires. We had breakfast both mornings at the hotel restaurant and it was excellent. I'm a simple kind of breakfast eater with the standard bacon or sausage and eggs and I have to say it was the best I tell you!! Eggs over easy perfect!! Fresh bread used for toast and came out warm with just the right amount of butter! The potato's were sooo tasty I hardly had any ketchup with them. But the show stoppers were the sausages, it's been a long time since Ive had such good tasting sausages that's why I had the exact same meal both mornings of our stay. Our server was great and super friendly also, made you feel right at home. There's and really nice pool area with a hot tube and saunas. The only thing that's not great is the saunas are in the changing rooms so my wife and I can't go in together. We're bonvoy members and have stayed at many Marriot hotels and this is definitely one of our favourites. Highly recommend! read more

This hotel is right on the harbour so you get a beautiful smell as soon as you walk out of your hotel room. As well, they are at the end of Main Street and you are right downtown Charlottetown! They always have fresh delicious water in the lobby and giving water bottles. They also have someone in the hotel who is extremely helpful at booking tours and activities! Love this hotel! read more

I eat out daily. My traditional stay, you simply can't find better downtown access with excellent amenities such as the gym & pool. In all my stays, BonBoy alone (1200 nights), I ALWAYS can count on a comfortable bed. Probably the best service I've ever had. We've all shown up too early to check in at our hotel. And it is customary for hotels to take your bags and store them until you do actually check in. But.... At the Delta, in downtown Charlottetown, the service was awesome even before I stepped into the hotel. Friendly door staff took care of parking my car (I wasn't going to need it for a couple of days) and taking care of my luggage. Just as friendly, desk staff assured me that the car and luggage would be well taken care of. Okay, that's probably standard at most large hotels, at least in warm and welcoming Maritime provinces. I left for a few hours of sightseeing and more and when I got back...not only was my room ready, but my bags were waiting for me, ready to unpack. And within a couple of minutes, so was a welcome little amuse bouche. The room itself was perfect - a view of the harbour just a block or two away, boutique hotel linens, big comfy chairs and couches, internet connections, in fact, every amenity you could think of. It was a glorious stay and I highly recommend it. read more

Stayed here for four nights and also conducted business meetings in their conference area. I've stayed at many Deltas across Canada and have found the chain tired weathered and seen some better days. However this Delta was a pleasant surprise. Maybe the recent acquisition by Marriott has helped but this Delta is near the top of the list that Id declare. Firstly the rooms are fresh and newer and the room I had had a wonderful window nook (day bed) that you could relax, read a book and sit in the sun. Overall the rooms are above average comfortable. The meeting facilities are a plenty. It's a big facility and you need to walk what seems quite far to the meeting rooms but they have a fantastic view of the water. Food during our stay was excellent. Everyday it was creative, fresh and plentiful. Also it was delicious. The main lobby area has a fantastic lounge are that turns into a watering hole bar to mingle around on the evening. A great quality of a hotel is many nooks and crannies to sit and relax around. This Delta has lots of chill spots. We came down here and watched the Thursday night football and grabbed a few frosty pints to wet the whistle. Good times. Overall an excellent stay and appreciated the service and quality for holding business meetings. Some of the other Deltas are like staying at your uncle's old tired house but this place rocks! read more

This hotel really should be a 5 star review, but read down for why I removed one... Fantastic location - combo of harbor and downtown benefits all in short walking distance. Large, clean rooms, friendly service, great bar/lounge and consistently impressive food for our very large tour group. Here's the beef on that one-star-removal: We were there on one of the busiest weekends of the summer season, and of course expected them to be full and busy. However - with our reservation made almost a full year in advance, I did not expect that my 'room' would be the living room part of a king suite, split off from its actual bedroom, and my bed was the pull-out couch. That combined with the fact that when I asked how this mistake occurred, the manager on duty proceeded to tell me it was 'one of the best rooms in the hotel'. Well, I'm sure it is when it has a BED in it! Because it was obviously oversold, they had no options to move me elsewhere. I was going to remove 3 stars for this weird blunder, but the manager on duty the following day made sure I was moved to a lovely room with a fantastic view and very comfortable bed. If only I had been able to sleep in it the night before when I was getting ready for a big work day! read more

Coming to PEI was a greatly anticipated trip for me and my family. The only problem was coming during Christmas when we realized pretty much everything is closed except for Delta. The best part is the SERVICE! 10 STARS if I could give it and we will be back to this place from now on. Please give Akash a raise. This gentleman working on Christmas night made sure my family was taken care of. No restaurant was open not even Starbucks. He came out of his office with two sandwiches and juice so we didn't starve to death. I swear he probably gave up his own food just to feed us. My family and I were so happy over this act of kindness that we consider this an awesome Christmas! The hotel has the best location hands down. So easy to get anywhere where we were located. I stayed 4 nights at the Delta and I have no complaints. Staff is amazing facilities and new and clean and the bar in the lobby is usually busy and fun. I was there for nacho week and they truly do have great nachos. read more

I rated this hotel five stars mainly for the exceptional service my boyfriend and I received during our recent stay. Upon checking in we were given two free tickets to a musical, which started our stay out on a positive note. We wanted to give a special thank you to Bruno at the front desk who assisted us in finding a wine bottle opener within seconds of our request, sought out the only place in Charlottetown that provides mani/pedis on a Sunday, helped us to find hard to find locations, and just overall went above and beyond for us during our stay. The hotel had also recently undergone renovations and didn't look like any of the drab Delta's I had stayed in, in the past. The orange and green hues in the art and accents popped against the grey walls and there was even a comfy window seat overlooking the ocean. We'd definitely stay here again. read more

Return trip to Charlottetown brought me back to the Delta. Its location is perfect for a walkable city where the restaurants were nearby.There's quite the variety for such a small city,sushi to Cow's ice cream of course. The ocean is almost at the door step for a nice walk over to the Confederation Mall which has no commercial name brand vendors,thankfully. The room we had had a strange bathroom exhaust you can't turn on unless you showered?Something Delta should change given the proximity to the entire room with fixed windows if someone does a real job in the bathroom. The staff were all great to interact with. WIFI,if you use a Windows device,you'll need to ask for an alternate login since their wifi will not work using the popup sign on screen that displays on your mobile.Always good, media strip that includes: HDMI connection to TV, USB,120V.Food on site, Water's Edge is pretty good, they offer jambalaya to a decent chowder.Parking is convenient,below the hotel.No EV chargers though, only on street which isn't convenient when one expects a commercial hotel to have the amenity in 2022. read more

The Delta has not only given us the best long-term stay rates around, but in the beginning, took the time to answer all of our questions and show us different styles of rooms available. They are always on call if we mention we need to accommodate another employee, and have had held rooms for us before. Horrible. While it looks nice in the Lobby and the room we had was nice, I had booked a room with a King bed and sofa bed and we got a room with one Queen bed, which my son and I shared the first night until they found a cot for the 2nd night. Explanation we have so far is that there were no more rooms like we booked 2 months earlier when we checked in at 7 PM. We tried to check in at noon but the lineup was so long it was taking 40 minutes to check in. So we went to lunch and when we got back the lineup was 50% longer. We decided to give up and come back later. There are 3 elevators but one is broken. The 2 that work are so slow they have a permanent sign inside them saying they know they are slow but everything on the Island is slow so just relax and enjoy the ride. The wait for an elevator can take 15 minutes. Partly because the elevator stops at every floor, usually not picking anyone up, because people give up and take the stairs. We now don't even try the elevator. I just walked up the stairs from underground parking to the 9th floor. The Wifi is only slightly faster than the elevators. This hotel should be your last resort in Charlottetown. Meaning if there are no more beds in the homeless shelters and you can't sleep in your car because the keys are locked inside, and you can't find a cardboard recycling bin to crawl into. If you have to stay here, try to get a room on a low floor unless you like a lot of exercise. I have been forced by the system to give this place 1 more star than it deserves. read more

I just stayed two nights at the Delta Prince Edward and I'd have to say their staff is some of the most accommodating I've ever meet. The hotel was full because of my conference so I really wasn't sure if I should ask for another room after I found out mine was adjoining. I hate adjoining rooms because you can hear everything your neighbor is doing. I called downstairs and they sent a staffer up right away with a new room key, nice. The finishes are a mixture of old and new, I think they're replacing furniture a bit at a time but the bed was super comfy with good quality linens. The food was fair considering 350 attendees, some of the dishes were real winners but some were misses. The hotel is located conveniently near the board walk and has free wifi, it was a nice stay and they met our conference needs well. read more

I stayed here for 2 nights and have not much to complain. The rooms here are excellent with a fine finish modern design. The view here is excellent here with a water view. The staff here are very helpful and courteous. The thing I like most about here is the location. It is situated right at the centre of town and everything is available by foot. (Including 2 Cow's ice cream stores!) my only complaint is that the wifi is horrendously slow. This doesn't suit a hotel like Delta and this needs to change. Overall, this is an excellent hotel and I would definitely recommend this to my friends! read more

Whenever we visit PEI, we try to stay at the Delta. It has a great location right in downtown Charlottetown, so we are within walking distance of many restaurants, shopping, and attractions. The service is great and I find that all of the staff are always pleased to help you with any issue or question that you might have. Over the years, we've had some small issues with our rooms and they've always been dealt with quickly and cheerfully. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and spacious. Our family is always very comfortable staying there. If you are someone who uses a hotel gym and/or pool, you'll find that these should meet your needs. We were recently there over March Break and there are currently renovations taking place in the lobby and restaurant; which is good as these areas were looking a bit tired. The renovations didn't affect our stay at all. Consistently a good hotel and, unless it's sold out when we go to book, it's the place we stay every time we go to PEI. read more

The Delta by Marriott is very almost right on the waterfront. The rooms are really nice and modern, Gym facilities and pool are excellent, better than most. Buffet breakfast is very complete, hot and cold dishes. Quick walk to restaurants, shops, water, and the historic district. The manager of the day, Luke, was exceptional. We had a problem with a very loud wedding party celebrating with a large number of people in their nearby room, which persisted for 1.5-2 hours at 2 am. The hotel was unable to terminate it because all their security people had called in absent, and their staff apparently didn't have the credibility to stop the noisy visitors. By the time we reached the manager in the morning, he already know about the problem and our room and name, and more than compensated us for the bad experience. And the hotel staff meeting had already covered the issue and how to resolve it further. Soft (feather?) pillows and king bed were very comfy. Nice large bathroom. We'd probably stay here again if we revisit Charlottetown. read more

Service was excellent, room was large, freshly renovated and very clean. My room had an amazing view of the water. Also had a large desk with multiple plugs, cables and cords for laptop and phones. The location is walking distance to everything downtown. Not sure what else anyone would want. Price is very reasonable for this hotel. Definately will stay here next time I'm in town. read more
