Not impressed. We came in a few weeks ago to look for ceiling fans and lanterns for a metal building. A man approached us and said "What do y'all need?" He immediately realized the Ineffective greeting and rephrased his inquiry into what we were looking for. We explained what we were looking for and learned his name was Dru. We asked a lot of questions, to which he didn't know the answer to many. We got a few printouts of product we were interested in ordering. This included two $500 fans and a $3,000 industrial fan for a shop. Dru states he would contact Big Air about the larger fan as they didn't have an account with that vendor. He also stated he would come out the following week to assess our lighting needs under the shop's patio. Keep exchanged cell phone numbers. I texted him twice and never heard back. Went with Amazon. Dru and his staff were super to work with. My builder recommended that we go here and so glad they did. We had a light that was backordered sadly it was for like 3 months. They upgraded my light and the owner himself came and installed the new light and payed for the electrician. I liked there was zero up-charging saved me money were they could and spent money where it mattered most. In the end I could have been more pleased. Never would have guessed that lighting could make such a difference on lighting. I just wished these guys did flooring and appliances. read more

I stopped in to shop for new light fixtures for our home before ordering online. I walked around the tiny showroom for about 10 minutes. No one even acknowledged I had walked in. There were at least 5 employees visible pretending to be busy without face coverings despite the sign on the door stating one must be worn to enter. With customer service like this, it makes it difficult to support businesses with local employees. I will never purchase a single item from them. read more

I've been in Dement on a few occasions, but this only because my builder made me shop there. If I had a choice I never would have gone back after the first visit. They are generally understaffed, especially in the mornings and late afternoon. The management/owner of Dement is in serious need of some people skills. He speaks poorly to his employees and about other customers and builders. He called one of the saleswomen names and swore at her on the showroom floor, it was under his breath but it's a small place. He also referred to certain builders and customers as being stupid, and even called a designer a stupid b*tch. I have reached out to her and the builders in question personally. My salesman along with the other salespeople was kind and knowledgeable. The warehouse employees that I came in contact with were nice and very helpful. I have warned my builder about the owner, if he is talking bad about some builders, he is probably talking bad about all of them. They are not the only lighting showroom in the city, I have advised my builder and anyone I know who is building to look elsewhere. read more
