The New St. Emilion burger comes on a toasted French bun (square) with a hearty fried beef burger, cheese , lettuce, tomato and something very close to American bacon with red onion and shallots in a wine sauce with frites (thin fries) for about 16€. Yum! I like French food as well as anyone but was craving something well, a little less French after a week in France and this hit the spot perfectly. Strolling the pedestrian streets was delightful. I especially enjoyed the terrace of the relais chateaux hotel Hostellerie de Plaisance. I loved their terrace with a beautiful view of the area. We enjoyed lovely area wines from the bar on their terrace. We also enjoyed their wonderful service. I highly recommend this boutique hotel and a tour of beautiful St Emilion!
