I like a lager occasionally, but seeing a can of the Swiss national beer: feldschlossen embossed with "lager hell" seemed an apt description of the beer situation, as well as the style. Hopfen and malz has dozens of beers from around the world, including some from Germany. And about 6-8 on tap, with a happy hour during the week. I enjoyed a Smithwick's on tap. The beer was extremely cold, and the pint was a perfect pour! However, the biggest draw for me was the fish and chips. They are absolutely delicious! The fish is a rather large piece, done right in beer batter. It is also extremely flaky and I consider this a good thing! The pub is also known to be a good place to watch European football. The TVs are hooked up to sound and broadcast in HD. Whether you're looking for a good pint, good food or just to enjoy a football game, this is your place.
