This has been another rooftop on my list to try. I came here for a Denim on Denim event hosted by Lemons to Lemonade. It was a great networking event that was cutely decorated. The women were amazing and the event couldn't have happened on a better evening. The weather was amazing. The bartenders were super helpful and very nice. The staff came around with appetizers for us to try different things on the menu and the food did not disappoint. I loved the denim burger and the ahi tuna tataki. I can't wait to come back. Hotel restaurants are really stepping it up and Denim is no exception. We were impressed not only by the menu, but the outstanding service received by Kenneth. We chose to sit outside by the pool. Although a different friendly employee took our order initially, Kenneth regularly checked in on us. We ordered the Dutch Croquettes and Strawberries and Burrata. Both items exceeded our expectations. The portions were the right size and flavors present and balanced. The fried croquettes paired well with the pickled vegetables and house mustard. The short rib interior was cooked and portioned well. The interior remained soft, while the exterior provided the expected crisp. The strawberries and burrata entree was fresh, aperitive, and had a pleasing blend of flavors and textures. Plus the weather made it a lovely night to sit outside by the pool. Overall we would definitely choose to eat here again if staying at the Joseph in Nashville. read more

I'm always excited for a good burger but sadly this one didn't check any of my boxes besides the side fries. Ordered the burger medium and it came out well done/burnt edges. It was disappointing but was too hungry to send it back. Fries were delicious though! I usually judge a burger by the meat quality and wow factor and this just didn't do it for me. You can order the denim menu poolside which is nice but I'd skip on the burger and try something else. Service is efficient and friendly and it's a nice vibe on the rooftop pool. read more

Shoutout to our server Felicia she is a food and whiskey connoisseur. She gave us recommendations around town and made us feel welcome as first time guests of the Joseph. The menu is focused and fair priced. The hummus and Wagyu burger (snake River farms) and salmon all had positive energy on the palate. My favorite was the aged grated Parmigiano-Regino cheese on my burger salad. The classic Wagyu Burger looked boring but exceeded my expectation. This a lovely rooftop restaurant on the top of the Marriott! It was a random Tuesday afternoon, so it wasn't crowded at all. We were able to get seated right away. The service was great due to it not being busy. We got a few drinks and some appetizers, nothing crazy, but it was all delicious. We came here for lunch and the menu was small but there's something for everyone. We ordered the Truffle-Whipped Ricotta and the Spinach Artichoke Flatbread. I thought this hotel was a beautiful chill spot. Outside felt elegant and comfortable. We didn't get to dine in for food. But did try out the cocktail drinks. It was good. We at first wanted a table for outside but was told all was reserved. Not sure how often they get seated, but the time we spent there seems like there was plenty of open seatings. To the locals, I would not recommend buying tickets for the rooftop pool. While it's beautiful, you will spend $50 a ticket and there will be no seats available and the pool overcrowded. We walked in and walked out with money completely wasted. If you purchase a ticket, you should be guaranteed a pool chair. read more

So happy to have discovered this gem. We booked a table outside because COVID. When we arrived it wasn't too crowded but it had gotten a little chilly. The host asked if we wanted to move inside. After testing outside, we decided to go for an inside table. Outside area is so nice -- separate cabanas plus tables beside the pool, great views. I'd love to come back during the day when it's a little warmer. It is a fairly intimate space, but not so much that I felt uncomfortable with how close others were. Very short menu, so we got two apps to share and munch. Great drinks -- I had the fajitas cocktail -- and service. Overall, we're so glad we checked it out and would love to come back. read more

What a cool new rooftop bar to check out in Nashville! I can't wait until it is warmer to experience the patio and rooftop pool. Scroll the the very bottom for the overview. Ambiance: Located in a prime location on Korean Veterans Blvd. There is valet parking that is supposed to be $10, but unsure where you actually pay (just do the right thing). When you walk in the lobby, you are directed to a set of elevators on the right and you go to the top loor. Walking off the elevator, we were greeted by a charismatic and charming host (which helped this review be 4-stars). The space is not very large so I wouldn't recommend having more than 4-5 people if you are gonna sit inside. There is an outdoor patio with mud cabanas which had large heaters, many tables that can accommodate large groups, and a pool (which is not heated ). The skyline is quite beautiful and again, I cannot wait until it gets warmer so I can rent one of the cabanas. Food/Drinks: BRING A HEFTY WALLET! So the menu is slim, definitely a place to grab a drink and eat small bites. I had the grilled cheese sandwich and let me just say.....DEEAA-LISH. The fries were just fries, but the grilled cheese was worth the price. The drinks were ON POINT as well, which is why I suggest going to grab a drink. I ordered the Sweater Weather (my fave) and the In-Flight Entertainment. Drinks were on average $16 and the food ranged from salads to hamburgers and pizza which averaged around $18. This is definitely an elevated rooftop bar and be ready to drop some cash. Service: Once again, I'm a stickler for service ESPECIALLY for a high end bar like this. Our waiter was okay. There was a point where he just didn't acknowledge me talking to him or just seemed disinterested in our table and then it would flip and he would be the nicest person. I don't know if he was preoccupied or what, but it was definitely a back-and-forth with him. The host was more than kind, telling us about the bar when we walked in, checked in with us throughout the night, and made sure I got my valet ticket validated. He was dress to the T and just overall nice. OVERVIEW: Want to try out a new rooftop bar? Go check out Denim. On Friday and Saturday, there is a DJ that plays to bring up the mood (I went on a Saturday night). I highly recommend you making reservations which is easily done through their website, to ensure that you will get a table. I do not know how to reserve the cabanas...sorry. The menu is slim and sleek with an emphasis on their drinks. It is on the pricey side so get ready for that. Jacob at the bar offered great conversations and recommendations. Stopped in for a sip before going elsewhere and it was the perfect start to a late weekend afternoon. At 2pm on a Saturday it was very easy to get a seat at the bar or at a table. Right next to the pool, overlooking the entire city from the top floor of the Joseph hotel. Denim was the perfect reprieve I needed from the chaotic tourist filled streets. They had a great view of the skyline and offered a classy way to enjoy the city. Seemed to be plenty of staff, but after and hour of waiting cancelled part of the order...on two different occasions. Would love to share more about the food, but was limited to the chips that showed up, so never got the tuna. My husband ordered the cobb salad, and finally got it after chasing several folks down. Stools at a upscale restaurant? The menu is also very limited. Only 5 or 6 entrees and the other 5 are salads or charcuterie board. Although you have to stay at the hotel to enjoy the amazing rooftop pool, it offers great ambience to the restaurant. Sydney and Daniel were so kind and are a true example of great hospitality. The food was well prepared and the dishes were thought out. Yolan (first floor restaurant of The Joseph) is tempting as a luxurious experience, but Denim offers a more approachable price point.
