We never had a single claim and was even encouraged not to file to prevent a increase in premium costs. After several hail storms and straight line winds our roof started leaking in several rooms. An adjuster checked our roof several times but didn't find any hail damage. We had water dripping from several holes in the ceiling. We were told that our roof was old. If our roof was too old to pay a claim why did the Insurance Company still insure it? Columbus Insurance is a broker for different companies but did nothing to help us with our claim. We of course had our house reroofed but had no help from the insurance policy. There were at least four houses reroofed including the one next to us.

For years, Columbus has ignored a ditch that floods this property. It has caused lots of problems,…read moreone of which is creating a crack between the chimney and the roof of the house. We've had several professional roofers try to fix this and I've even gone on the roof to seal the crack too. We contacted our insurance company, they sent an adjuster out who basically ignored everything I showed him, including picture of the flooding, and blamed us of "maintenance neglect" and threatened to cancel our insurance if we didn't fix it. This was nothing more than a "hit job" to get out from under the claim and I cancelled the policy shortly after this sham inspection. Do biz with who you want, but I won't be back.
