Love love love this Barber shop! Everyone is friendly and my barber josh always does an amazing job straight razoring my head and beard. Love how you get pampered with all the hot and cold towels on face and head. They also have a very nice selection of beard products from balms to oils and hair products. Stumbled upon this place while doing a little barhopping in the countryside Village. Great lounge area separate from the barber shop with a great list of tasty craft cocktails. The lounge stays open even when the barbershop isn't. I really do love the movement of higher end barber shops. Make reservations well in advance and then schedule again when you're done to avoid the struggle of getting in when you need to. How good is the service? Amazing!! I adore Brit, she is the only allowed to trim near or around my beard and mustache!! She's sweet and very personable, does what you ask and goes the extra steps it takes for a quality cut. What actually got me to act was the lack of communication on their end. No follow-up. No reschedule. No appointment with another barber. I called and explained my situation. Upon walking into the barbershop you are greeted with a sense of purpose and warmed hellos. The menu of selections isn't large but are exactly what the clientele need. Being next to a craft cocktail bar and pairing drinks with packages is the best combination for repeat business and taking time to truly enjoy the moment. Had to find a new barber after years of going to the same person. Was worried that i would never replace them as they just knew how to cut my hair and trim my beard. Got an appointment from Rick Wharton and I can safely say that they not only met my expectations, but they exceeded and excelled to the point that my old barber simply didn't compare. Rick put in the attention to detail and individual care that you rarely see anywhere these days. The shop itself is also amazing, well decorated, smells good, the other barbers were bright and neighborly, welcoming me as I walked in. Had a wedding in Omaha so I needed a haircut and shave. I was the first appointment of the day so there was no way. The shave was nice and smooth and the haircut was to my liking. The bummer was the bar was closed until the afternoon so I didn't get a chance to use the free drink. Also, after tax and tip it cost me $80. I live in NYC and get a haircut and shave for $30 but I understand the difference. This is a fun experience and was nice to pamper myself. If you don't mind spending, definitely check this place out. read more

I came here today after getting a haircut at 18|8 that I was very unhappy with. Josh did a really good job fixing it and really listened when I talked about what I wanted. He was good about checking in with me as he was cutting it and making sure I was happy. It made me slightly nervous to not be facing the mirror as he was cutting, but he gave me a hand mirror a couple times and the cut turned out great, so I'm happy. Thank you for saving my hair! Solid haircuts and shaves. As an example they will clean you up with a straight razor. Afterwards, or for no reason The lounge is open until midnight on weekends. Nice local spot to get a local brew or a stiff beverage of your choice. read more

I had odd experiences trying to get into this shop. The first time, my wife and I were at the deli next door. My wife encouraged me to drop in after lunch. As we walked in, a young women was busily texting and seemed genuinely annoyed to be interrupted. My wife said, "excuse me" can you get my husband in for a cut? The obviously annoyed women asked, "Do you have an appointment?" I responded "no". Do you have any openings? "No, we're booked up all day." Granted, it was the lunch hour, but there was not a single other customer in sight. For the life of me, I don't know why I went back (the first experience should have been enough). Today, as I drove by the shop, I noticed a prominent, "Walk-ins Welcome" sign on the front door. I figured why not give the place a second shot. One barber and one single customer were in the shop, along with another young woman. The barber started by asking if I had a reservation. Not hi, hello or anything else. I responded "no", but said I was responding to the "Walk Ins Welcome" sign, prominently placed on the front door. "Yeah, walk ins are welcome, as long we're not booked up..." Dennison crew, please just take down the Walk Ins Welcome sign. Replace it with a "Reservations Required" sign, and everyone will understand the terms of service. You might want to consider taking down the attitude a notch or two also... Demonstrating some basic human respect and manners would likely be good for business. read more

Went to Dennison Dahlman to get my haircut. The barber Frank always does a great job. However, I received a free drink ticket for the bar with my receipt but the catch is, it's not really free. At the bottom of the receipt, it says "use this for your FREE DRINK at the bar." The ticket only covers up to $5, what a joke. The lounge side of the establishment is a complete joke. They ended up charging me $21 for 2 drinks. I would highly recommend going somewhere else. read more
