Sara has been coloring and cutting my wife's hair for about a year now. My wife recently had an appointment but couldn't make it so I took the appointment. It had been about 4 months since my last haircut. Which, in the world of people who pay attention to their hair, is a long long time. The only time I pay any attention to my hair is when I am crying watching it go down the drain. I have never received so many compliments after a haircut. People said I looked 10-15 years younger. Always a good thing, as I push closer and closer to ___! The staff is very nice, the music is groovy, the seating in the waiting are looks nice, but isn't that comfortable. There is usually some video or movie playing. Free coffee or bubbly water. Not cheap, but worth it.

I got assigned a man working in the corner, he was middle aged and had short dark hair. Right off the bat he seemed out of it and kept running into things, talking wildly to those around him, and dropping the tools he was using. I also noticed a woman at the counter staring down at him disapprovingly the entire time he rummaged about. I just said I wanted a fade on my sides but what he began to do was so reckless and unconcerned that two minutes in I knew I was in a seriously bad situation. Ultimately he spends 7 minutes wrecking my hair and giving me a stupid and embarrassing blotchy fade. Then he immediately says he's finished and asks for 30€ Absolutely the most unprofessional and reckless service I've ever encountered. I've included two photos of my 30€ haircut.

Yesterday I came 45 minutes before closing and they wouldn't see me because they were closed. Today I came an hour and a half before closing and they were "closing." It's not fun to waste time. I'm cool with the stylists here not wanting to work past a certain time, but the establishment hours should reflect the actual closing time. So, if you are thinking of coming here make sure to get here by 5pm (4pm to be safe). Hopefully this warning is helpful for both the employees and customers.

Got my haircut today and after leaving and walking around a bit, it looks great. My German isn't that good but the hairdresser understood me O.K. Got a hair wash, conditioning, cut and blow-dry. The time it took overall and the method is why I docked a star. I felt like the entire thing was rushed (overall it took about 35 minutes). In the U.S. I am used to it taking an hour or more and getting my hair nicely blowdried. The wash was nice, but as soon as I sat down in the other chair I felt like the hairdresser wasn't really paying attention and didn't want to be giving me a haircut. In the end, after asking politely for my hair in the front to be straightened a bit so it wasn't frizzy and unruly looking, she finally did it. I felt like hairdressers are supposed to want the final product to look fabulous but I felt as if this hairdresser didn't care as much about the customer. Overall, now that it has been a couple hour, I really like how my hair looks, but I like to walk out of the salon and feel fantastic and have had a great experience and felt relaxed and I really didn't. I guess for how she did, the price was O.K. so that is kind of a positive. I wouldn't go back just because I didn't like how the haircut was conducted.
