The servers here are amazing. We came in today on Christmas twice actually. Earlier in the morning and later in the evening because nothing else is open and we are here from out of town staying in a hotel. The same servers have been here well over 12 hours today and have been so kind and patient even with crowds of people coming in minutes after closing still taking orders. All of the women were great but Angie especially stood out as the front of the house(manager possibly?). These ladies deserve a raise! As we were being seated, the man seating us, whom we found out later was the manager, advised us that he was sorryThe walk was so long, but his server hadn't bussed Her tables yet. I immediately took offense to the fact that he was demeaning his server in front of a customer. I also noticed that it appeared that she was the only server on duty at the time and her section was full. Therefore, as a manager knowing she's the only person on at that time and knowing that she was quite overwhelmed. He should have been stepping in and helping her clear tables. And been cleaning them instead of demeaning her for not getting it done. He obviously is not a team player. Was that comment made to lower the customer's expectation of service and screw it? The waitress's tip? Are waitress Wendy, was actually a very good waitress.She kept a smile on her face.The entire time, she got her drink order out right away, i made sure our drinks were full, despite being as busy as she was. When we went to checkout, the manager was Nowhere to be found, and wendy was actually the person that checked us out. I asked her if that bald chubby guy was the manager, and she said, yes. I stated that he wasn't very nice to her and she said he likes picking on her. I told her he was the epitome of a horrible manager. And that she deserved to be treated much better than she had been. If corporate is reading this, the manager that was on duty August 10th, around 11 AM. Needs additional training. He was completely unprofessional in making a comment about his waitress. He has absolutely no idea how to speak to his wait staff or how to be a team player and help the wait staff that he had overwhelmed. My wife and I ate breakfast at Denny's in Fountain Hills. We noticed that several seats in the booths were torn and that other diners who were seated there, eventually got up and moved. The table were not clean, and the place looked tired and worn. My pancakes were ok, but the syrup was a poor imitation of real maple syrup. My wife's omelet was fine. The cofee was weak. The service was fine. This restaurant really needs updating and some tlc. read more

This is the worst Dennys I've ever been to!!! The first time we stood in the front and no one ever acknowledged us.. so we tried again thinking maybe they were just busy. So the second time we sat at the countertop and once again no one acknowledged our presence we sat for at least 5 minutes meanwhile staff walked by but no one even looked at us. How do you get in touch with this place? I just spent $80 on take out and its not even edible. My hash browns are BLACK. My son's "birthday cake pancakes" had more birthday cake sauce than they did pancakes. I've called 8 times. No answer. I live 20 minutes away. I shouldn't have to come back for this. This is INSANE. I loved this Dennys particularly for their staff. They were amazing.they checked on me so many times and my drink was never empty. The tables were very clean ,you could tell the staff there treated that like it was their own kitchen.you have to love the lighting in these Dennys diners.it's always so dim and relaxing,makes you feel the full diner experience. I just walked out of this Denny's in Fountain Hills. I went by here late Saturday night after work. I've passed by this Denny's many times late at night and it always looks completely dead with no cars outside that I could see. I always wonder how the server(s) at night could make any money. When I went inside, there were two other couples there, surprisingly. The food was actually good and fresh, but the whole reason I'm writing this review is because of the server. She really deserves recognition. I believe her name is Annette. That is the name that was on the receipt. She was a petite, Asian looking lady. Her entire interaction with me from the second I walked in, until the second I walked out, was unbelievably positive and full of smiles. As soon as I walked in, she greeted me with a huge smile and such enthusiasm. After I sat down, I ended up talking to her about how long she's worked there and is it usually this quiet all night...and the whole time she talked, she was smiling non-stop and was so positive and enthusiastic. She was never negative, even when she said it's rough to make money on the late shift. She was just like a shining bright light! You could definitely tell she loved her job. She was a great server and very attentive. I have to give huge kudos to this woman to keep up such an amazing, super positive, joyful attitude in a ghost town of a restaurant when you know she's not making much money. I had my reservations at first about this location in fountain hills, AZ! The parking lot was pretty much empty, albeit it was about 2pm and very hot outside! The food was as expected my wife really enjoyed the grilled chicken salad she got. We actually placed a to go order for pickup the next night and that was just as good. read more

My experience at this Denny's in Fountain Hills, Arizona was very horrible over the weekend(morning/brunch). Let's start by saying upper management is horrible and doesn't know how to do their job. At times comes off like a real jerk in regards to doing their job. The food coming out of the kitchen is horrible and the local heath dpt should be notified about the cleanliness and how the food is being prepared.I've witnessed management and others not wearing gloves and hairnet. Also,the bathroom smelled extremely bad and was dirty ! I really enjoy eating out, but this Denny's is way below standards compared to other Denny's around Arizona. People spend their hard earn money to come eat this (Bad Food and Service). By the way my own dog wouldn't eat that food . If corporate doesn't address the concerns and issues, I will be reaching out to our local heath dpt (Maricopa County Health Department 4041 N. Central Ave. 602-506-6900) and news 3 on your side. MDGA(Make Denny's Great Again)! This Denny's is the only place you can get food 24hrs sometimes.The owners need to actually make a surprise visit to their store over the weekends.
