I am sitting in this dirty restaurant and constantly being told they don't substitute this for that anymore. So essentially instead of getting what I ordered and the waitress who WORKS HERE assured me they have, I can't get what I want without paying extra for it. This is how IHOP is winning the battle. Dennys has great food, poor service and even worse menu choices everytime you come. It's a shame because I drove 25 miles to eat here to walk in and the floors are filthy, the cook is sitting at the bar talking to guests about his personal life, crayons and food under the tables and a waitstaff that has no idea what's on the menu. Reached out to restaurant because server staff were not wearing mask and kitchen staff were not wearing gloves. The manager Samantha advised that until owners require them to wear PPE they will not be. I also asked if employees are being tested for Covid as they are serving people without PPE and the answer was NO. This restaurant has terrible service. My meal was good. However, I never got waited on by any of the waitresses. Even when they came to my section, I was skipped over. I had to be waited on by the cashier/hostess. She took my order, bussed tables, sat people and cashed them out. If I hadn't driven a considerable distance, I would have left. Quickie review: Four of us ordered food at the same time. All of our food arrived at the table at different times. Two of them were cold, like they had been sitting for a while before they were brought to us, which begs the question: why was it not brought out sooner? My club was ok. This is by far the worst Denny's ever. service is extremely slow. We waited 45 minutes to be seated and another additional 40 to receive our food. The server never showed back up to our table once we got our food which was completely incorrect, but we tried to eat it anyway because we didn't want to spend another 40 minutes waiting on a replacement. We waved for the appeared to be manager which, was an old lady that I could not believe is still working. She could hardly move but she did refill our drinks after 10 minutes then She returned the drinks to us with her hands all around the mouth area. This Denny's is conveniently located by the Tanger Outlets. It made for a great dinner spot after getting dragged around stores you dread with your girlfriend. It's certainly the only reason that brings me to this Denny's. The first thing I noticed was the awful sweet tea. If you take any advice from this review, don't get the sweet tea. The service was pretty subpar. Having to ask for silverware, unfamiliarity with menu, and the highlight: getting constant refills, but never taking the empty glasses. By the time we got our food (which was a lengthy wait) there was about 10 empty cups on the table between the four of us. I ordered the Moons Over Hammy, and when it finally arrived, it was pretty dry and tasteless. It did not meet the menu's description nor my expectations. The final 'f you' that Denny's gave me was the bill. We were two couples with two bills. The appetizer was put on the wrong parties bill, and I was getting charged for sides even after asking if sides cost extra. Overall, I'd rather go to the McDonalds connected to a gas station down the street after a draining day at the Outlets than come here again. At least there I can fill up, eat food, play the lotto, and get home before my food would've even arrived if I went to Denny's. read more

The food was fair but the restaurant needs work. The design is like an old time diner, all shiny and curved. But the place is shabby and broken down. The tables are worn, the floors are soiled, the bench seats are so old and worn they have deep butt pockets in them, one counter stool was hanging loose, the bathroom needed cleaning and the whole place smelled bad. Even the menus were sticky and needed a good cleaning. Our waitress, who was really the hostess and cashier, was great. Obviously they were shorthanded so she was doing about three jobs at once. When I ordered soup she was kind enough to give me a head's up that it was bad that day and offer a substitute. Since this is next to an outlet mall, a busy mall, you'd think Denny's would take some interest in it. Apparently not. This place is in the Tanger outlet. On Saturday it is grand slammed with people. There is something hypnotizing about watching a finely tuned diner work its magic during the rush. Waitresses yelling out out the order while simultaneously pouring a cup of joe and counting change; it is awesome. This place however is nuts, more like chaos. They got the job done. Saddle up to the bar because you don't have time to wait for a booth. You have to get back to shopping or driving down I-75. Ordered a double cheese burger. OMG! this thing. I am getting excited thinking about it. This is what cheese burger dreams are made of. Two big patties with that griddle meat crust and melted cheese. You have to hunch it into your mouth. I'm not sure why but this thing was heaven. Kudos to the wait staff that hooked my kid up with a taste of milkshake! I went to this Denny's for lunch today. This restaurant provided me with the worst experience I have ever had. To begin with the waitress was rude, even bumped into me and didn't even apologize.
