I'd avoid this guy like the plague when it comes to fixing dents…read more He's dishonest, fabricates stories, and will try to blame the customer. He'll boast about having 32 years of experience, yet will incompetently resort to drilling holes if the dent is "too hard" to access, when all he needed to do was remove the interior panel. A lazy approach to make a quick buck. He ended up drilling a hole in my door without my permission. Not only did he drill a hole without asking for permission, but he also drilled on a spot that affects the integrity and safety of the door. Lastly, the exposed edges of the hole are starting to corrode. Then he blatantly lied by saying that the hole was there previously when I caught him using a drill gun. I thought he was removing bolts for access, but it was too late because he had already drilled a 1/2" hole. His reasoning for not disclosing the drilling of the hole is that I know everything about PDR, and that automatically permits him to drill. It's like hiring a contractor to repaint your living room. You expect them to work within the agreed-upon boundaries -- paint the walls, perhaps patch some cracks. Instead, they decide to knock a hole through the wall into your kitchen without telling you, reasoning, "Well, you know a lot about home renovations, so that means you must have consented to this extra step." The justification shifts responsibility onto you, even though the decision (and its consequences) were entirely theirs. $270 dent fix now became a $5,000 door replacement and repaint. The worst part is he won't even take responsibility for making things right with the customer, nor reach a resolution. He then denied drilling a hole, despite seeing him with a drill gun while working on my car.
