Unfortunately I had a different experience than the reviews that led me to this dentist. They do…read morefar more imaging than any other dentist I've been to, but it's very uncomfortable. They take pictures (in addition to x-rays) which is something I did not want to do as I prefer to get in and out of the dentist as soon as possible. They stick a very large flat mirror into your mouth and shoot air down it and into the back of your throat. I repeatedly asked if the pictures were absolutely necessary and said "I do not want to do this" multiple times. The assistant taking all of the pictures did not listen to me. When more than 1 staff member hears the patient saying "no", I expect that they listen. This dental practice did not meet my expectations. They were quite pushy about fluoride, with 3 people giving me the same speech about how I really should have it. Even though I explained I wanted to get in & out as soon as possible, they still kept trying to push it on me. At the end, they used a tooth shade finder that came from a cabinet and physically touched it to my tooth, and then put it directly back into the cabinet. Who knows how many mouths that's touched. I do not recommend that anyone who is scared of the dentist go here as not being listened to is very traumatic.

I actually enjoyed my visit both times I went in preparation for the crown. It was really comfortable at the office and I felt right at home with everyone there. The explanations of what was transpiring while under their care were easy to understand and appreciated. The time taken to make sure I liked the color match of the crown was sincere and I felt I could reject the crown at any point if I wasn't satisfied. This helped me feel at ease. His care for myself and entire family has always been kind and compassionate. My sister lives in Milwaukee and still agrees we'll never find another dentist like Dr.Hein. Just an FYI, when asking them why do braces cost more at their office, the answer was because of the lack of a competitive market and "their lab costs more" for the same material any other Ortho office gets. In other words, they jack up the price for absolutely no reason but greed.
