My brother wanted his ears pierced so I chose this place based on reviews. We walked in and Sam warmly greeted us and had my brother fill out a waiver and then he went and got his station set up. About 10 minutes later he took us back to his piercing station and explained everything to my brother very professionally. I have come here twice for tattoos, and it is one of my favorite places to go. My first and second tattoo were done at different locations, took three times as long, and is not as good at the two I have received from here. Ox was amazing, he did the two butterflies behind my ear. He made sure it was completely filled in, and that they were as precise as I wanted. He also informed me that the small lines on my other tattoo would fade quickly because they were done extremely thin, which is a no-no for a lasting tattoo. I also went and saw Pit this most recent Friday the 13th. Because i'd Covid concerns, they weren't doing any specials (which bummed me out until I was introduced to PIT!). He had time slots to sign up for, which eased my mind of it being busy and interacting with a bunch of people during the pandemic. For a quick tattoo, (it was about 15-20 minutes), I am in LOVE. The line work is amazing and the color is so deep. I am extremely happy with my tattoos I have received from here. I plan on getting a sleeve started up soon, and I wouldn't want any other tattoo artists to work on it than those at Denton Tattoo Company. (I attached pictures of my tattoos from when I got them, vs what they look like now. Unwelcoming environment, the tattoo artist with the magnifying glasses was extremely rude and condescending to me when I asked about different pricing options. He was also very picky and was irritated with me when I didn't have the entire vernacular of knife knowledge. the tattoo I wanted was a very simple and small knife with a black handle and he asked what type of knife it was. Unsure, I shrugged and said it was probably a dagger. He then went to argue about the type of knife it was and got increasingly frustrated and rude when I couldn't give him the exact make of the knife I wanted. The artist screwed my tatoo. He was rude from the start and made me feel like I was being difficult. Despite being given a sample page with tatoo shown 5x he still managed to misspell my tatoo yet never once asked me to check the SPELLING. I was having to look in a mirror, address spacing, assess the necessary changes and detail work and try to see a faded template transfered to my skin. When he was done I looked - saw the error- and LOST it. I got up and walked out. My husband was left to pay. My tatoo was three words. He messed up one of the words yet still charged me 110 of the quoted 125!!! I had NO idea he had charged that much. I was still outside freaking out. He never even said sorry and now I am left to deal with the painful,time extensive (multiple sessions all have to be spaced 2 months apart) and expensive process (takes on average 5 sessions and they cost average of 200-300/each) of removing a word. Legally it appears as though he's liable since he was given a sample. I'm calling my legal counsel Monday. read more

Lola was SO AMAZING! Has a light hand, and seemed super helpful to the apprentice that was watching on. Great pricing and got 2 for $150(ish? I don't remember the exact cost). I got a rib price and YES it hurt BUT with how light handed she was it didn't hurt as bad as it could have. Went in as a walk in an hour before they closed and they were super nice and managed to get my two tats as well as a friends tat and piercing done in that time. I came to this tattoo studio for a Friday the 13th tattoo. Big mistake. These studios CHOOSE to do these specials so I expect the same care they take on someone's full priced tattoo. The tattoo i received at this shop was very meaningful to myself and my fiance who has a 14 year prison sentence. He got a keyhole on his chest, I got the key to his heart on my arm. However his prison tattoo is so much better than the work i received on my arm. I paid $150 which is the highest quote i had gotten by surrounding tattoo shops. With that being said it should have beeb bot only what i asked for but also a damn good tattoo. It was neither now i am stuck having to pay more money to have someone correct it abd its going to completely ruin what i wanted as a symbol of our love through the next 6 years of being away from my fiance. Loved it. Went in Saturday with my best friend, each of us got forearms pieces. I had Cody do mine and I love it. Almost painless, and very nice guy. We waited maybe 30-45 minutes for him to get set up and got started. The bestie was WAYYYYY over charged for the one she got by someone else in the shop.. The folks at Denton Tattoo Company are great. They are very straightforward, but in my experiences with tattoo parlors, most of the employees are. They are nice, however, and they know what they're doing. My friend went in to get his frenulum linguae (skin under the tongue) pierced, but they told him it couldn't be done because his body would probably reject it. That was upsetting, but also comforting; They are concerned with the safety of their customers. He left with a piercing on the frenulum labii inferioris (the tissue connecting the lower lip to the gums), and was very satisfied with it. read more

My friends and I went in to get my friend a tattoo for her 19th birthday. She came with some options she was thinking of, and the guys at the front seemed extremely irritated with her as she asked for price estimates for the 2-3 simple line art designs she was considering. She settled on wanting a minimalistic line art style knife on her thigh with the blade colored in, and upon deciding the picture she brought was not "good enough," the man at the front looked up more knife line art for her to choose from and was frustrated because she didn't know EXACTLY the name of the knife she wanted. He was really condescending toward her while she was trying to come to an agreement with him, and all of us watched in horror as she became more and more flustered. She didn't know a bunch of specific types of knives besides dagger, kitchen knife, switchblade, etc., and the artist grew extremely frustrated with her extremely quickly over it. I understand that as a tattoo artist, you want your clients to be as specific with you as possible, but for a tattoo shop located five or so minutes from a college campus, you would expect that they have more patience with younger clients seeking their first few tattoos. SO rude. Affordable price options, but totally not worth it unless you are ready to be interrogated on the spot about the piece you're looking for. read more
