Just want to say I have always been a fan of this DenRec, very quality strains and have maintained consistent quality for years but I want to complain about a particular budtender who works there as I have twice had the worst service possible with the worst attitude. Not sure of his name but he is about 5'5", has dark hair and tattoos. After more than a couple of experiences with him it has left a horrible impression and if I ever see him I would probably try to avoid him at all costs, he really needs to learn some etiquette when dealing with paying customers. read more

My first dispensary visit on my Denver trip, and this one was a winner. Coming from a less-enlightened State and seeing all of the options available can be a little overwhelming, but the staff here is friendly and patient. I've heard that buying legally was supposed to be super expensive, but honestly, I didn't really find the prices all that bad compared to what some people pay on the street where I'm from...or so I've been told - as I would never partake in any such shenanigans back home. read more

Everything quality wise was great. I just didn't appreciate how I was treated. Walked in with a friend one afternoon, we were asked for IDs. The lady checking was fine with his (NC)but then after seeing my ID (DC), told me she would need to see my passport. After telling her I didn't bring my passport to fly from Washington DC to Denver, I was informed I wouldn't be let in. I didn't realize this place employs border patrol agents. To be clear, my friend is white, and I am brown and bearded. After questioning why, I was told I didn't have acceptable ID, though my friend's was totally ok. I kept pushing her until she took the ID back to the manager, who came out herself and let me in. I'd like to think the lady at the front was just plain dumb and didn't know Washington DC was a part (or the capital) of the US. But we both knew what was really happening. I was born and raised in the rural South, and never encountered anything like this, and have never felt so unwelcome. So if you've been spending a lot of time in the sun or have a some amount of pigment in your skin, you're better off at the dispensary next door. read more

As a non Denver native I can assume how annoying it is to get out of towners like me acting like a kid in a candy store. This was my second dispensary on my trip and the clerk seemed less than thrilled to have to run through the logistics of what was offered. I was not a fan of the service. I also noticed their product was not tightly rolled and wasn't as durable as the other store. I would not go again and I do not recommend this place for out of towners. read more

Usually a pretty short line, but there are almost always only 2-3 budtenders to handle customers so lines can get long when there's a lot of people to take care of. Pretty decent selection of moderately priced recreational flowers and concentrates. Prices on menu include tax. They don't try to charge you for an exit bag. First and last time coming to this place. Visited the place last night, got there about 9 15 waited in a big line until about 945 when the rude worker who obviously hated her night, and it showed. She comes out and tells me and another guy she's sorry if she can't get to us on by 10! So luckily we get inside within her time limit, only to be rushed. The guy in front of me buys a joint, they're out so she sells him a gram and runs to the back to get him a Cone to put it in. Well I'm next and I came for the two for now joints, they are out and she won't honor the deal...so I walked away paying 15.00 for one gram. Ridiculous customer service. Here it is y'all. This is the best cannabis I've seen commercially available anywhere in the US. I moved to Denver in 2010 and worked at one of the top medical spots with lots of locations and national cannabis awards. I've seen tons of weed (literally, tons) and smoked flower from some of the worlds most respected and celebrated growers and companies. Having said that-EVERY jar on the shelf when we visited looked like the samples we used to submit for our Cannabis Cup entries. What we got in our jars when we got home was the same. Every cultivar was on point and clearly different and the level of cultivation they achieve across a wide variety of cultivars is worthy of note. Their OG selection is insane and they've selected for the minor differences in flavor, appearance and effect that make weed snobs like me want to schedule Denver vacations around their harvest schedules. I only wish this quality was available back in the day for these prices when we were paying $40 an eighth as "members". Disclaimer: I don't work here. Don't know anyone who does. Don't know the owners or any of the growers. Not trying to get a free anything for a review. This is just the speech I give friends headed to Denver who ask where to go and now I'm telling you. Dude whatever--this place kinda sucks. Pretty tacky--they had a weird condescending vibe from the moment I walked in. The greeter person wasn't very welcoming--grunted at people in the waiting room "to get in line" as if I was in elementary school or something. The young lady checking me out over charged me--when I questioned her about the outrageous total she was like "umm no--this is what you bought--see?" Immediately she realized that she had in fact over charged me. So we shared this awkward moment of her realizing that she had some weird ego issues going on. Anyways--not heady, not hip, super boring & basic. I went here out of convenience but if I had my own car and wasn't about to catch a flight I would have chosen somewhere more holistic & uplifting to purchase my medicine. read more
