My expectations were low , thinking I had tried all the pizza spots in the Bury , I couldn't have been more surprised. Got a pizza from here 2 weeks ago. It was EXCELLENT! Charred but still very delicious just how I like it. Tonight we got another pizza. It was mid at best. We also got 2 lbs of hot wings. This is my go-to place for good NY style pizza! I have not found anywhere better in Salisbury. Their Italian subs are awesome, full of meat and flavor. Have had cheesesteaks from here and they are good too. Their fries are hit and miss, I prefer fries that are more crispy and not as dark as theirs are. I believe if they did more rinsing of the fries prior to frying, the issue would be solved. Also, lately the pizza has been a bit overdone. I actually like a charred crust but lately it's been too much. With a few minor adjustments, this place would be a 5 all day long. Pizza joints are popping up literally everywhere, which leaves you wondering which one to try next. De Pietro's may be my families go to from now on. I initially was introduced to them when I moved here in 2016 and I believe I had a cheesesteak, it did leave a memory though! We stopped in to grab a pizza the other week and when I walked in I know exactly where I was. We got the De Pietro Famous Old Fasioned (two weeks in a row) and it's now my wife's favorite pizza. Great local pizza place! Definitely going to be my go to with so many different ones in the area. I called 5 or 6 places trying to order bacon cheese fries and none of them were able to. De Pietros said they could make and accommodate whatever, as well as pizza options that weren't on the menu. Definitely 5 star service. The fries are boardwalk style which we loved and used shredded cheese rather than a cheese sauce which is also a big deal! Pizza was delicious with house made sausage rustico pizza with a crisp bottom on the crust! Overall probably a 4.5 star for the food and service combo. OK, let's skip the restaurant, which would benefit from a cleaning & lowering the room temp below high 80's...rotating floor fan was a nice touch The Pie, a Margharita, was not; what it was started with dough, that either was old and/or frozen. Absolutely no rise, no salt or yeast taste, just dead. The sauce was chunked tomatoes, watery and unforgettable. Cheese was the mozz-blend, completely over-whelmed by the ridiculous amount of minced garlic; to the point that's the only taste from this creation. I believe I saw 3-4 tiny pieces of what was basil. I've ordered pizza from here a few times and it has been ok. The most recent time I ordered the pizza it came looking like the photos attached. Although I kept the box completely upright from when they handed it to me to when I got home, the cheese had somehow slid off and soaked into the cardboard. Half of the pizza was entirely soggy and oily and inedible. Somehow in the 2 minutes it took me to get home all the cheese was gone and the pizza was barely warm, leading me to question how this could have been my fault because it looked like it was dropped before being given to me when it came out of the oven. When I called to explain what happened and see if they would remake it they said I should've held the box correctly and that I was told at purchase that it just came out of the oven. So, I held the box correctly and the cheese still came off the pizza and they refused to remake. I won't order from here again. Unless you want soggy pizza, I wouldn't recommend anymore. read more

First time there. Tried the philly cheesesteak with onions, and peppers. Also tried a cold sub with pastrami, corned beef, prosciutto swiss with everything but mayo. Both subs were very good. The only problem was the wait but they gave us free garlic bread which was very good as well. Will definately be going back. read more

I tried this place because of the yelp deal they had ($15 for $30). I went twice. First time, I got the King of NY (Real deal, packed with meat), Philly Cheesesteak (Barely any meat, not so good), 2 lbs. of wings (Buffalo and BBQ, good) and fries (cold not so good). Overall, the wait was long, so call your order in, then they seemed confused. Only one person knew how to accept the yelp deal. They have no menu, you have to look on their tablet to see the menu, then the lady forgot my fries, then when I called to report that, the other young lady answering the phones acted like I was lying about fries and wanted me to verify the order and didn't believe me until I described the lady that messed up my order. The second time was a bit better. I ordered the Bronx Bomber Pizza and 2 lbs of wings. It was OK, not real NY style pizza and the crust was kind of burnt and the pizza was dry. Then they seemed confused again. This time the same lady who forgot to give me my fries the first time, forgot to take the money for the order. I had to tell them I needed to pay several times, before someone realized....we are giving food away for free. This place is also, hard to find, it's located behind railroad tracks, in a small strip mall across from the University. Overall, decent place, they need better management, because everyone seemed lost. I would only go here with the yelp deal. I would not pay regular price to be hassled and to wait all night. So 2 years and many many pizzas later after my original review, this place is still the best pizza in Salisbury, maybe the whole Eastern Shore. They have changed owners, and I think they sort of changed the name to ' N.Y. Pizzeria ' but they still have the same address and phone number, the price has pretty much stayed the same and the pizza is still awesome. Thin and just the right amount of chewiness, not too much sauce and quality ingredients. The white pizza is still good, but they changed it a little bit, there's no longer fresh tomato slices on top (there wasn't much before to begin with just a smattering here and there to give it some color, and the occasional burst of tomato tartness in a bite or two) they have upped the amount of ricotta blobs which sort of throws the crust to toppings ratio for me, but it's easy enough to scrape off. We like to order the 'Bomber' cut into 8 slices, it's a larger pizza which really accentuates the crust and it's foldability. ( Foldability - the ability to fold a slice of pizza in half ) This is a New York style pizza, so if you can that is how you should eat it, folded in half with some oil dripping on your chin, eating it sideways so as to avoid the oild droplets from falling on your shirt, and if at all possible to get the full affect you should also eat it while walking the city streets and still clutching on to your purse/wallet ready at any moment to run after the pickpocket who will take this moment of pizza pre-occupation to rob you. Granted, here in Salisbury there's not really any city streets/sidewalks to speak off, but if you do find one be aware that depending on which streets you are walking, a pickpocket might be the least of your problems. But I digress. Back to the pizza - It can be a bit pricy, especially if you start adding a lot of toppings, but I find this style of pizza really shines if it's left on the plainer side. If you like a lot of toppings, which sometimes I do too, might I suggest trying it a calzone form? They also offer that at this establishment. I've never made it past the pizzas to try anything else, so I can't really comment on those except to say if all they do is fold the pizza in half and seal the opening close like an empanada to make the calzone, you can't really go wrong with that. read more

The pizza is authentic--and I mean that it tastes like it should up in New York. If you are planning on picking up--or even eating in--you should pre-order, since the pizzas take an extreme amount of time to prepare. There is just not a lot of great pizza down here in the Eastern Shore, unless I am 'looking for love in all the wrong places, wukin pa nub'... However, this place is pretty solid. True NY style pizza, they use high quality ingredients but it is slightly on the greasy side. A little pricier than the 10 topping Papa Johns Puke Party but understandable. Friendly service inside and clean. Somewhat weird location as its off the main drag (13). If you like NY style pizza and you know that Domiblows Brooklyn Style is about as New York as a Red Sox fan, come give this place a try. read more

Absolutely drool-worthy pizza! I visited here with my family and brother-in-law's family (8 of us total) this past weekend on our way to the beach. We all had various preferences, but could all agree on a classic, plain cheese pizza. We always like it well done, and that's just how they make it! We used the $15 for $30 deal that was listed here on Yelp and were more than satisfied. We got a HUGE order of fries (with complimentary old bay seasoning, love that stuff), long garlic knots for all of us with this amazing marinara-type sauce, and a humongous pizza (you would think it's XL because the slices are so long, but it's actually the normal size). We loved the pizza so much that we decided to get a few more slices (which they graciously cut up into smaller slices so we could share). I was going to give the place 4 stars because for all of the great reviews/hype, I expected a somewhat nicer-looking place. Forget expectations like these, because as long as the place is sanitary and the food is DELICIOUS like this, it shouldn't matter. Also, the service more than made up for it. The dude was so chill and catered to all of our little requests. Don't trust me? While we were waiting for our food, every single person who exited the place left raving about the food to the owner. Great food. The best pizza in Salisbury. Their cheesesteaks and dinners are equally good. However, their service during prime dining hours leaves much to be desired. I frequent this place about 1-2 times a month. I've never had a bad meal, but when dining around lunch (12-2) or dinner (4-6) we have waited well over 40 minutes for a pizza. The place wasn't even that packed. Although the wait times can be excessive, don't let that deter you from trying this place. You won't find better pizza in the region. read more

This was not good! I got a regular standard cheese pizza.The pizza was very greasy as soon as my hand touched the pizza my hand was soaked in grease. The sauce was watery and for the crust. It had a weird doughy kind of raw taste. I felt sick after I finished I will absolutely never ever come here again! So to preface this review we ordered the same order from this location and another Top Rated pizza place in the Bury for a side by side head to head competition. The orders were as followed (1) standard pepperoni pie (1) wild card pie (we chose the Md Crab pie as both places offered one) and Wings (which we specified sauce on the side with ranch and blue cheese). First we judged on service and speed De Pietro's estimated 60-70 minute delivery time and the other establishment gave a odd 35-55 minute estimate. First win for De Pietro's they were spot on with their timing and friendly service (we let the driver know about the competition and they later text us to see how they had faired), The other place undershot their timing and delivered at about the 75-80 min mark. So down to the pies. De Pietro's pepperoni had the large deli style pepperonis and was cooked nicely, not too much flop while the competitors was cooked nicely but was a bit sloppier and had a slightly sweeter/more tangy sauce. Win # 2 for De Pietro's. Secondly the crab pie... no competition here De Pietro's was the clear winner.( I will say I think the other person who ordered the competitors pie ordered the wrong size as we ended up with what looked like a personal pie or they sent the wrong size I'm unsure). The amount of crab on De Pietro's was far more generous and overall flavor was a clear winner. My one criticism of this pie would be it could have been cooked slightly longer. The amount of crab and cheese added some additional weight which could have benefited from a slightly crispier crust (little less flop). Win #3 De Pietro's. So down to the wings as we specified we ordered with the sauce on the side(hot sauce). De Pietro's wings arrived as ordered and were a nice sized wing and were nice and crispy with ample sauce on the side and the correct dipping sauces. The competitors wings arrived already sauced which took away whatever crisp they might have had before boxed. One dipping sauce had spilled in the box and the general packaging seemed a little more sloppy. Wings were about the same size and while not bad De Pietro's was the clear winner here as well. Bottom line De Pietro's won in all categories hands down! I felt a little braggadocios as this was my choice and while the other spot was rated higher on some platforms online they did not beat De Pietro's in this competition and honestly wasn't even close. This is the place to go! This is how pie should be made. They got this 22in pizza that you gotta get for family pizza night. And it's only 18 bucks for a cheese. Italian hoagie is huge and made THE RIGHT WAY with the right meat (Mortadella, Capicola, Prosciutto, Genoa Salami) And the only place in town that you can get these lunch meats cut. Unlike the fake Trax "Deli" I need to try more here. My only complaint, need white American cheese for the cheese steak. They don't have this. NOMS! I'm seriously drooling thinking about this place. When you first walk in, it looks like a small run down joint, then you turn the corner to find a huge Finding Nemo tank that your eyes could be glued to for hours. I could see a whole other room of for dining right through the fish tank. The place turned out to be huge. We placed our order using the yelp deal and a few minutes later hear *boom* *boom* *boom*! The guys in the corner rolling out fresh pizza dough! Wicked cool. I wasn't all that impressed with the cheesesteak we split, but our pizza was AMAZING.
