Another couple joined us for the Hamburg portion of our trip and they really wanted to go, so I agreed. I'm a believer now! This place is fun for all ages. As someone who prides myself in my skillset re: "attention to detail", this place has me beat and I'm totally impressed. Come early to beat the crowds. It does get pretty crowded in there. You definitely need at least 3-4 hours here, and can probably spend the entire day too if you want. They have lockers for your stuff, and a place to grab a bite to eat on-site. Reservations are a must! We were pretty late in booking our tickets so ended up spending an extra 10 euros to buy the "virtual reality" experience in order to get an any time entry ticket. The 10 min VR experience was pretty meh, so only choose this option as a last resort.

I looked online and it was sold out and the estimated wait time was 3-4hours. I rolled the dice and got lucky with a walk in and only waited 30min. This is was the highlight of my trip, the displays were detailed beyond expectation. Looking forward to going again in the future!

It's such a…read moregreat concept having a cruise terminal inside a multi-level shopping center and especially one with the Westfield brand. There's also a U-Bahn Überseequartier Station inside this complex. We received samples of German chocolate as we walked through the cruise center. It was a great welcome! The shopping mall is still very new. It opened in April 2025. It's a mix of inside and outside spaces which makes it perfect for all kinds of weather. You'll notice that it's a Westfield right away when you look up at the cube glass skylights that let in all that sunlight. The architecture here is even more stunning since it's open to the Elbe River. There's a waterfront on that side where you can see the ships coming and going. It's beautiful! As you enter, you'll notice that there are at least 3 levels of shopping within the building. The interactive map makes it look like 4 with a basement level. See the map below: https://www.westfield.com/en/germany/hamburg/map-of-the-centre It's a great mix of high-end and affordable shopping. There's a Läderach and a Lakrids by Bülow here. There's a souvenir shop for travelers. You may need to buy more luggage if you plan to make it a shore excursion. It's all very tempting. The ground 0 level is where you'll see even more shops and restaurants during an outdoor stroll of Überseeboulevard. There's even a separate food court (called "The Kitchen") that can be accessed by escalator from this main Boulevard. We decided to have lunch at Cardamom Progressive Indian Dining which is in the outside portion of the complex. What a great experience! There are restaurants here that will suit all tastes, but I didn't see any German ones. I think that was the only thing missing. Although, it may be named Overseas Boulevard for a reason. There are many German options as you walk away from the shopping center as well as many attractions. It's all very walkable. It's just an exciting and happening place to be in HafenCity.

I really liked the simple descriptions of the car/items that gave you some good/quick insights. They had a vintage Porsche drive simulator which was pretty cool. This was quite popular and would imagine a queue during busy days. Although small, they have a good selection of mint or near mint condition vintage cars and concepts. Really liked the 996 display showing 1/2 interior and 1/2 exterior. Although they do have VW and Audi concepts, the majority of the display is Porsche. There is a cafe with gift shop that has an good selection of books and model cars & some clothing. Only 10 Euros entry fee with a friendly and helpful staff. Plan on 1.5 to 2 hours. A must for any Porsche lover and enthusiast!

Yes, you get to sit in a Porsche and drive it around the Nueremburgring. How fantastic is that! Definitely a must for every car lover and even those with just a mild interest, it's just so beautiful and well presented. Do not miss the second, temporary exhibit downstairs! It's in a separate space, so it's easy to miss. As it's a changing exhibit, I can't say what they'll be showing off when you get to go, but it's always intersting and really well done. So be sure to check it out.
