I canceled my membership today because of the worst esthetician I've ever encountered--Rita. I have a skin condition and have seen a dermatologist twice in the last 30 days. My doctor specifically recommended laser treatments to help reduce inflammation and redness, so I came here for an IPL session. Rita was not my provider, yet she took it upon herself to interfere with my treatment. She insisted on using WARM GEL on my face, even after I told her that I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT tolerate WARMTH due to my condition. I have had this treatment before at another med spa with COOL GEL, which worked well for me. Despite explaining this, Rita acted OFFENDED AND IRRITATED when I declined her suggestion, as if I were CHALLENGING HER KNOWLEDGE. Then, in a matter of two minutes, she completely changed her stance and TOLD MY PROVIDER NOT TO PERFORM THE IPL ON ME AT ALL! How is that professional? Are you the boss of my face? I KNOW MY OWN SKIN BETTER THAN ANYONE. WARMTH OR HEAT WOULD HAVE WORSENED MY CONDITION, and I was not willing to take that risk. To make matters worse, after she heard me tell the front desk to CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP BECAUSE OF HER, RITA STARTED RAISING HER VOICE AND YELLING AT ME IN THE LOBBY. Instead of respecting my needs, she told me to GO BACK TO MY DERMATOLOGIST OR THE OTHER MED SPA I HAD VISITED. Excuse me? My DERMATOLOGIST RECOMMENDED IPL, yet she acted as if she KNEW BETTER THAN A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL. Because of her behavior, I am CANCELING MY MEMBERSHIP AND TAKING MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. Yes, i saw a dermatologist twice for a biopsy to determine my condition and the right treatment--which was ipl. It was not two laser treatments. Instead of prioritizing my needs as a client, your unprofessional employee, rita, yelled at me in the hallway and then came into the lobby as if she wanted to hit me or continue yelling. If brandon had not stepped in between us, i can't even imagine if i would have been safe there. If your business truly "focuses on safety," perhaps you should start with training your staff on professionalism and how to treat clients with respect, instead of allowing them to escalate situations and intimidate paying customers. I've been coming here for a few years. I had an appointment on Valentines with Monica. She is amazing and dermani called me to reschedule my appointment from 11 to 915 with Amy. Amy has told me before that there's things that I wanted to have done that I didn't really need them she doesn't need to be in the beauty industry however this morning I called and let her know I was gonna be 10 maybe 15 minutes late to my appointment. I drove an hour away and the lady said she had to check with Amy and Amy said no because she was back to that today that there was no way she could do it. Hands down the BEST place in n town for Botox and fillers and facials! I love the "lay-a-way" program they have for Botox (I call it, I'm old school).. lol. You kinda bank up $$ for your Botox so when it's time to get that next appt, ahhh you have $200-or so dollars set aside in an act to help pay - and your Botox rewards is another $20 or so.. So that "Sting" of dropping money every few months can sometimes be $0.. (at least WAY less than what an actual session would cost without it ! I love it! Thank You Dermani for these incentives and it's my fav... Next to AMY! She is the best!!! . Love this place! I have tried 2 other places and I convinced me to try the off brand of Botox when I got there and it did nothing- even though I asked for Botox.. when I came back 2 weeks later and no change, I asked for Botox and I was treated like a low life. And I was like.. Excuse me.. I came in here asking for Botox and you suggested the other and how upset that I am asking you to fix it. Dermani did what I asked and when you join the program you also get a cheaper price too. I am going to be honest. I am 53 but look young. However, I never really had an upper lip and now I am getting those little lines above it. So, I decided to get a filler. I made an appointment that same day with Suzanne. Since I didn't want huge lips, it was suggested to use Juvederm Vobella which gives lips a little plump but it is mostly to take care of the lines. I was told it would take 3-4 weeks to see the final results. It is now 4 weeks. You can see the Juvederm above the lip... like it is not part of the lip and it really didn't take out the lines. I should see a plumper top lip and some of the lines erased. What I see is a lump of Juvederm above the lip that did not blend nor shape the lip. If I use a lip liner you cannot put the liner above the lip where the Juvederm is. You would look like a clown because the Juvederm is not part of the lip. I shouldn't see a differentiation between my top lip and the Juvederm. I should see a nice smooth top lip with some plump. It was also injected into my bottom lip as well to even things out. The bottom lip looks okay. I have looked at tons of before and after pictures online making sure to look at older women and the results I have seen to not match what I got. That happens. Maybe instead of using Vobella they should have just used straight Juvederm. Update: I did not use my real name for the Google review but they figured out who I was and called. I am very pleased with Dermani MedSpa in Buford. It is very well managed with friendly staff. The prices are very reasonable as well. I originally purchased a laser hair removal membership and am very pleased. I have had 6 sessions from Dannah and am having great results with very minimal discomfort. This is very different from the extreme pain some of my friends have experienced at other places. In addition she is always on time and makes me very comfortable in a situation I originally thought would be awkward. Last week I decided to try a microneedling facial with her and again am very satisfied with the results. As she promised, it was not painful at all. I had great results. My pores are minimized and skin looks plumper and rejuvenated. I got this on a Thursday and was back to work on Friday. This experience was much better than the chemical peels I have gotten in the past at other places. I highly recommend Dannah! I'd also like to recommend Tiffany for Botox and juvederm. She does a fabulous job with natural looking results. I appreciate that she doesn't over do it! I am scared of needles and She is so gentle! I will continue to use this spa in the future! read more

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE RITA! She's so awesomely kind and attentive to a skin treatment conducive to my problematic face! She listened to my concerns and recommended facials for me! My face had acne scaring and huge pores on it and now my face looks years better now. I joined the monthly program that they offered because of her! I got my face on a regiment that worked for me! With the treatments that she recommended my face is tighter, refreshed, shrunken pores and just all around flawlessly smooth skin! I can truly say that the ladies that work in this place are very nice and friendly and did their best every time I came. I bought the 6 month membership to do the treatment to help get rid of some of my sun spots. They did the IPL, chemical peel, etc.(all of the treatments offered in order to clear these spots). Unfortunately my experience was not a good one regarding the results and products. After spending almost $700.00, the spots are all there and look even darker, and my skin is even getting spotted in other areas. I am extremely upset about the results. Especially the waste of this amount of money and all of the time that I took for every session. This was a very disappointing experience, and I do not, or will not recommend it to any one. I really wish that I did not believe in what it was advertised. I know better now. read more

Buford Location: Office is really nice and the receptionist was great...However the service I received from AURORA was poor. I went along with her suggestion to get microdermabrasion and a chemical peel. I never peeled and the product felt like dirt sitting on my face. I called the office to explain the situation to her and emailed her pictures. She stated that she will review the pictures and get back to me. She schedule another peel which was roughly two weeks later and stated it has the potential to cause damage so why as the "professional" would you make such a suggestion. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and scheduled the appointment but she NEVER called me back so I called and cancelled the appointment. DO NOT SCHEDULE with AURORA. For the record my appointment was NOT with her but she was the one available. read more

This is not a review that I wanted to write, but it is absolutely long, LONG overdue. I signed up for the medium laser hair removal treatment for $40.00 per month back in 2017. The treatments are scheduled for once a month and I went to every single treatment faithfully. After about a year of going and not seeing the desirable results, I decided to let them know that I no longer want to continue services. The reason for that yes, the area did seem to have thinner hair, but it was patchy and some areas were more stubborn than others. I decided that the Brazilian wax treatment that I did previously worked better for me. I was told that you're supposed to be locked in for a membership for six months, meaning that they will charge you consecutively for six months whether you show up to your appointment or not. If you miss a month, you will still be charged the $40.00/60.00 (whatever your choice was in the beginning). I've went for a year. Six months more than what my contract stated because I was really hoping that the treatments would work. Finally told Dermani Medspa in June of 2018 that I no longer want money deducted from my card monthly because I don't plan on continuing services. Vivian, the front desk receptionist told me that it was fine, she can put a freeze on the card. I asked if they can remove my card from the system permanently since I don't plan on coming back and she said no, she can only freeze it, but would guarantee me that nothing will be charged. March of 2019, I see a transaction of $40.00 on my card. Called them back and she refunded it, very abruptly, then hung on me. It is now June 2019, and guess what has been deducted from my card? Another $40.00. I would not suggest this business due to the fact that they keep your credit card on file and charge you without your knowledge. If you are not on top of your transactions, it can easily be missed. They don't call you to tell you that they're making these charges, they don't even call to confirm an appointment after making the transaction. But they will take your money. Highly disappointed in the staff in this area. I came here strictly because of the reviews. I can tolerate the services not be satisfactory because everyone's body react very differently. But I will not tolerate someone feeling like they can charge you for a service that they are NOT providing. read more

I do not recommend getting micro needling session here. I don't know about other procedures as I never done it here beside micro needling. I usually have my own esthetician to do micro needling, but due to pack schedule, I came here for a try. After one week of micro needling treatment, I got about 10 infected big cystic acnes which never happened to me in the past as this is my 3rd time micro needling. It been almost a month since this procedure and im still breaking out! I only had a couple acne here and there before and now it just keep breaking out ever since. I went back for a consultation and they told me it is probably because of active acne (had about 2 acnes when I came) that caused the infection across my face, which they should've know NOT to needling around active acne. Now I am dealing with NEW scars instead of getting rid of them (the whole purpose of micro needling.) Also this place want you to numb your face before coming and you have to pay out of pocket to buy your own numbing cream. Overall, I DO NOT recommend this place. read more
