Tried a new coffee shop today and got my first stamp in my coffee passport! Loved the vibe here, it's super cute inside and plenty of parking which is always a plus. I ordered an iced tres leches latte with oatmilk and it was definitely on the sweeter side, but yummy. I also grabbed the GF banana nut muffin and it was delicious. Friendly staff and overall just a really nice spot to hang out or catch up with a friend!
A cute little shop in the middle of a parking lot. The drinks were all a hit and I LOVE how unique they are. The cherry latte with cherry cold foam was gorgeous and delicious all in one. The Cafe' de Olla was so amazing. We were told that it would be kind of bitter and not as sweet but it was sweet and perfect. Definitely a 10/10 for the drinks. They only have to go cups, no for here cups to add to the aesthetic. The place is decorated really well and you can tell there's a lot of thought in it. The outdoors is so cute as well, there is a gate so that if you're with kids they stay in the cafe area and don't run into the parking lot. One negative I had was the smell in the coffee shop. I couldn't sit in there for long so I was happy that there was an outdoor seating area. It had a very strong and sharp smell. The only thing I could compare it to would be kitty litter. Another negative was the wait. Only one barista which I can understand and give slack to, but I didn't understand why people who ordered after me got their drinks before me if they were both coffees. Didn't make sense. But I don't regret coming here, the drinks were worth it in my opinion. Wish I could give a half star.
Cute little coffee shop right off the 202 freeway! There is outdoor and indoor seating. Lots of options to choose from and if you can't decide the staff if friendly to answer any of your questions. The coffee is yummy and they also have refreshers to pick from. Would absolutely return again!
Stopped in for midday coffee on a Thursday. A few folks hanging out. It was raining the day I went so the patio was not usable although it looked nice. The interior is small, but has cozy feel. The service was friendly. The menu consists of the coffee shop standards plus a lot of speciality and seasonal drinks. I was in the mood for something simple so I opted for an Americano with a bit of whole milk in it. Drink arrived promptly. Had a nice, mild flavor, did not have an acrid or bitter flavor on the back end. All in all, a nice Americano. N*joy!
This coffee shop is in a plaza with a pre school and other businesses. There is parking available and they have seating inside and outside/ their kitchen is right next to the shop and they have a few breakfast items. I tried their chilaquiles weigh barbacoa and a fried egg with green salsa. This was a very mild sauce. Not spicy at all and the meat was soft and cooked perfectly. The mazapan latte was very good. Not super sweet but just enough. You can also taste the espresso which I absolutely love. The staff was very kind and helpful. Will definitely be back
We love a female Latina owned business. This spot is hidden but if you know you know. I met with a friend for coffee around 9 and it was packed at 10. Great spot for catching up with friends, remote work, etc. the staff was so friendly and helped me with the menu. I got the mazapan iced and it was delicious, they even gave me one of the little cookies. My friend got a matcha. There is cute outdoor seating too
I met up with a friend here for coffee on a Sunday around 1130a and it was pretty slow, but it definitely picked up between then and 1230. The Mexican/southwestern themed decor is fun, and they offer indoor and outdoor seating. The drink menu is pretty simple, and they also offer pastries and breakfast sandwiches, tapas and other breakfast items. There were also some fall specials listed on a sign outside. I ended up ordering the pumpkin snickerdoodle cold foam cold brew and it was great! I can't wait to come back and try some of their food items!
Deseo is super cute inside and the food is delicious. My husband loved his empanadas and I wish I had ordered that too. My breakfast sandwich was good, but not exciting. He also really liked his drink (we both got the iced Canelita latte) but it was a tad on the sweet side for me. Overall I would come back but beware, this is truly a shack so the seating inside is really minimal. We were lucky and got seats at the counter but at times there were so many people waiting that it felt a little overwhelming. There is outdoor seating but not much shade.
Been going to Deseo for 2 years now and we love this place! Our fave food is the El Paisano (although a tad spicy for me). This day we tried the Tacos de Papa, which was good and filling. Only comment is that we wish it was traditionally folded like an actual taco. The way it's folded made the potatoes spill out to the side. Otherwise the flavor was gooood! I always get the same coffee at all the places I go to (honey oatmilk latte). They make it pretty close to perfect! Not too sweet and not too milky. It's a small cottage and they have a very cute aesthetic. I love the art all around. But if you plan to sit down to enjoy your coffee or food, don't go during rush (lunch/ breakfast).
Came back w second time and ordered a specialty drink called the Tres Leches latte and it was excellent and I did it iced. Ordered food too and the green chile elite Mac and cheese was also really good. A great door and quick service Cure coffee shop tucked away they gave working space inside and outside.
Such a cute Mexican American coffee shop. I loved the decor, the service and the vibes. I got abuelita chocolate and my friend got a latte and they were both amazing. I also love they offer breakfast items like chilaquiles. The tables outside are super cute and plenty of space to sit and enjoy coffee. If you're in Phoenix area I definitely recommend. 10/10

I didn't know what to expect when I got here. It's a small place with some charm to it. I took a look at the thermostat and it was at 81 degrees so I couldn't wait to place my order and sit outside! The fellow behind the counter recommended I order the barbacoa breakfast tacos which I did. The kitchen is located in an adjacent building so they have to walk back and forth between the two buildings to deliver your food. I have to admit the tacos and side of refried beans was delicious. It was served piping hot. But keep in mind the yolks are still runny which I was unaware of when I bit into it. The result was hot egg yolk all over my hand and plate. Not a big deal but I would've approached my first bite differently had I known beforehand. Other than that the 2 tacos were delicious and I was satisfied with my meal. Plenty of parking. I think I'll come back for those tacos, but I'll have plenty of napkins on stand by!! read more

Coffee: Excellent basic coffee, as well as great specialty and seasonal selections. My favorite drink is their "Abuelita Mocha," and they have a great variety of Mexican-Inspired coffee! Food: Good pastry options. Vibes: This cafe is very aesthetically pleasing. The design is super cute and very cozy, all at once. Service: Everyone I have interacted with has always been so wonderful and welcoming. TLDR: A definite go-to because the coffee is reliably good and the space is quiet and comfortable. read more

I'm on a seemingly impossible mission to try all the amazing coffee shops in the Phoenix area. I was so excited to cross this one off the list! The baristas are really friendly and gave helpful recommendations! The decor is very cool in here, I wouldn't expect it from a place tucked away like Deseo is! I usually go for mochas but I got the canelita latte with oat milk. It had cinnamon sugar and vanilla and it was delish. Sweet without being overwhelmingly sweet. I also got a 10% teacher discount (I'm not a teacher, I'm an SLP but I work at a school so it counted). And they give the discount to military/first responders too! I think this is one of my fave coffee shops I've tried in the last few months! read more

My friend moved into the neighborhood nearby and brought me here last week and oh my goodness did I fall in love! Everything about this place is great, from the drinks to the music to the decor. Service was also nice without being overly cheerful or forced like at some other coffee shops. I'm officially obsessed with the pistachio rose latte (i asked our barista if it was super sweet before ordering and he suggested I try Half sweet which was perfect for me) and I can't wait to go back for another one :) read more

First time here, very welcoming and quick! I love to try new things so the first thing that I saw was the almond joy cold brew with cold foam. Gone a couple of times- I 1st tried the mazapán n too sweet - the Camelot's was really good, got it hot. Second time tries the mazapán again 1/2 sweet perfect! I even tried the Canelita 1/2 sweet and it was good as well. Cute place , overall def coming back. read more
My go-to coffee shack! Deseo is a great place to grab your morning coffee, whether you prefer something sweet or something dark. For me an iced, black Americano always helps rid me of that morning sleepiness. The first Americano I had here was PERFECT, so I keep coming back for more :) I've also tried the Cold brew, Tres leches latte, and Mazapan latte which were pretty tasty. My favorite was surprisingly the Tres leches latte; it's very sweet but very accurate flavor. Yum! Next time I'll try the raspberry oatbar I hear is delicious :) read more

Way better than a lot of coffee shops in the Valley! The vibe is so cute, the baristas friendly, and there's no pressure to be anything than yourself. Super cute place, and the drinks are delicious. I got a Chaga-ccino (chaga mushroom type of iced latte/cappuccino) with oat milk (on recommendation from the barista, and she was right!!) and it's super good! A little earthy, chocolaty, and smooth. During COVID-19: Deseo Coffee Shack is a small Mexican inspired coffeeshop that specializes in Mexican lattes such as their Mazapan and Canelita latte. I was in the mood for a nitro cold brew during Labor Day and Deseo delivered as they were fully open on a holiday. This cute coffeeshop is definitely a hidden gem in Phoenix where it is situated in its own quaint shop. Although quite small and tight inside, there is surprisingly a good amount of seating inside and as well as outside. Great for individuals or small parties, Deseo has a bar inside alongside smaller tables which are great for meeting up with friends or working on your laptop. The young lady working was super welcoming and knowledgeable while assisting a good amount of customers in a timely fashion. We opted with the Canelita since the popular Mazapan was unavailable for the day. Its flavor profile was reminiscent of a Horchata and was definitely a worthwhile treat on a hot summer's day. The cheddar scone was also well made as it didn't have a dense quality that most coffeeshops serve. The establishment itself is very clean and homey with a nice elegant charming atmosphere. The bathroom was a wonderful surprise and well kept. We loved the option of staying outside under the pink umbrellas while sipping our beverages during these times. Bathroom available. Accepts cash and card. Lots of parking with indoor and outdoor dining. Masks required inside. Wifi available. Drink up! read more

We wanted a coffee place close to the Phoenix Airport while we waited for our friend to arrive. We hit the jackpot with this gem. Tucked behind some street front restaurants, this quaint shop was packed with yummy goodness. I had a tea latte using their green tea and shared the Garden Avocado Toast and the Fig Jam Mascarpone Toast with my friends. High marks for everything! read more

First time at Deseo Coffee Shack! Super cute vibe, we loved the aesthetics and overall atmosphere. The staff was really nice and had very welcoming personalities. I enjoyed the Tres Leches Latte, soo creamy and sweet. I substituted oat milk and would definitely get it again. The Mazapán latte iced tasted just like Reese's puffs cereal to me. I thought it was really good, maybe my next beverage if they still have it. And last the Canelita latte was a simple creamy cinnamon and vanilla. Mmm overall 4 stars for everything, cute spot to try. read more

Love the ambiance of this small and quaint coffee shop in Phoenix, especially now that it's nice out the patio is the perfect place to hang. The breakfast sandwich was delicious with a perfectly toasted soft brioche bun, and the staff here is very friendly and approachable! read more
This was my first time visiting and I absolutely adored this place. The inside was a little small but so cute and well decorated. The music was a little loud, like club loud, but he eventually turned it down. The guy working (I think he's the owner?) was so friendly with everyone. I got a canelita latte with oat milk, per his suggestion, which consisted of a blend of cinnamon, Mexican vanilla extract, vanilla and agave nectar, with espresso and steamed oat milk. SO yummy and not too sweet, just a subtle hint of sweetness. I also got a black bean brownie, which was SO good! It was more like cake with no frosting, but still, so good. Visiting from out of town; I was looking for a shop with hand crafted drinks & food and boy was I lucky to decide on Deseo. Being Mexican American myself it had the cozy feel and ambiance of Abuelita's kitchen and the menu reflected just that as well; classic menu items and flavors with a modern day twist. The barista was absolutely wonderful and kind, and her drinks brought out all the nostalgic flavors I knew as a kid. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. read more

Cute little coffee shack! It's far from me but have been wanting to try it. Also wanted to try it cause the morning mess gets there coffee from here sometimes. My brother got the tres leches with caramel. Interesting taste. I just got the iced caramel with vanilla. I think I'm not a fan of vanilla coffee anymore. 2nd coffee place that I had vanilla, think I'm more of a caramel and mocha person lol. I like they have tiny ice cubes. They have a stamp card as well. The coffee place is right by the liberty mutual. They have a patio outside. It's decorated very cute inside. read more

The Mazapan Latte has taken me back to the past! I used to collect my quarters for the ice cream man after school to buy copious amounts of them! If you don't know, Mazapan is a type of peanut butter Mexican candy, also known as De La Rosa. This crumbly, sweet & delicious concoction was just what I needed on my peaceful Friday! My friend, got there seasonal Matcha Lemonade drink. She was cautious at first, but in the end she fell in love with this compelling mixture! This coffee shack is located in midtown Phoenix in a very unexpected area. The interior was small, yet spacious with green and gold aesthetic, exposed brick, a beautiful wall piece, and a lovely velvet green couch that compliments the room! I want to start by saying "WOW"! I wanted to try a new coffee shop, so I decided to try Deseo. As I pull up to Deseo I noticed that the exterior is super cute! It gets better, as I'm walking in I feel right at home because they have Spanish music playing and the decor gave me a modern Mexican vibe. The aesthetics of this place is on point. I'm reading the menu I noticed that they had some items listed in Spanish (note I'm Mexican), I instantly fell in love because it brought back so many memories of my childhood. I usually go for mochas everywhere I go and the barista suggested the abuelita mocha! I tried it and OMG it was delicious! Poppyseed muffins are SO good! Tres leche iced latte, even better. Canelita latte with oat milk...the best! The person working was so nice and helpful with my drink choices. Small shop and every table was full. So good sign from the start. Menu was simple and they didn't have 1000 choices. The Tres leches was not overly sweet and tasted just like a Tres leches cake. The Hawaiana tasted like a creamy coconut infused with expresso. The Brazilian lemonade was refreshing. It seemed like sweeten condensed milk with lemonade. Everything was freshly made creamy and not overly sweet. Glad it's not too far from work so I can shoot over in the morning on my way in. read more
