Treatment and customer service is phenomenal. I always feel wonderful when leaving here. While I didn't do the float (claustrophobia), my spouse did and came out a new person. Just amazing. My only note is the fee structure. It's not a gratuity when it's mandatory, and that is 20%. There is a sign saying they are cashless, and charge another 3% for using a card. I just wish they were a little more transparent- this is not something we can do regularly, so a surprise charge was somewhat stressful- the exact opposite of the goal. read more

Brilliant experience today with two wonderful roommates (birthday treat for one of them). Book your appointment now and be completely refreshed after your time here. Zac (please forgive me if I have spelled your name incorrectly here) is a fantastic host. He explained everything clearly and kindly and was a very calm, soothing presence for our first time floating. Thank you so much for everything. The process is fairly simple- shower with soap/shampoo first so nothing off of you gets into the float water, experience your float, then rinse off afterwards. It's usually all lights off to have the full experience, but if you're even a little nervous about the dark, they definitely have you covered there. There are options for lights and closing pod lids, or not, so no need to be intimidated at all. The water is just deep enough and gently warm, and because of the salts, you will be pleasantly buoyant. My face never went below the water; at all times, I felt completely weightless and safe. Everything is clean, quiet, and conducive to a meditative state of mind. Shower, earplugs, shampoo, body wash, towels, and several other amenities were provided today (and emphasized as needed). We even had some lovely teas and cups provided and some time afterwards in the back waiting area to regroup with each other. No need to bring anything extra unless maybe you have a specific shampoo/soap/earplugs/towel that you absolutely must use at all times. This float was just what all of us needed, as extremely busy and generally stressed people. I'll be back. Anyone reading this: don't wait, do yourselves a favor and make your float appointment now (with all of their other offerings too, while you're at it). My boyfriend and I shared the couples float spa experience. The spa atmosphere was clean, peaceful and relaxing. The staff was very friendly and kind. They had lots of cbd goodies at the front counter to purchase, we drank a strawberry Lavendar cbd seltzer water while we were brought to the back room and listened to the instructions. We entered into the moon glacier room, it had one shower and a 2 person sized tank. We both fit comfortably and enjoyed an hour of meditation in the water. It was extremely calming and I left there feeling regrouped, energized and creative. I would absolutely recommend this experience! read more

Me and my fiance went in for a float and massage today. We have never tried a float session before...however we heard great things about them and decided to try it out. Staff: The whole staff was very friendly and created a comfortable environment through out the whole process. You can really tell that they are passionate about their business which is refreshing. Float and Massage: Since it was two of us we opted for the cabin float, which fits two people. It was very spacious and comfortable. It took us a while to settle In the water as it was a new experience but once we did it was very relaxing. They have a shower in the same room so that was nice. We also got to wear robes. (Always a plus in my book!) The massage after was AMAZINGGGGG. I didn't get my massage therapists name which is my only regret of the day because he was great! I fell asleep during my massage and being a very stressed and controlling person its hard for me to enjoy massages... that being said ... this was the best massage I've ever had. I really believe that doing the float and getting a massage right after really helped tie it all together for us. Facilities: The vanity room was SO CUTE and such a clever idea. I've never seen that at any other massage location. Big mirrors, lotions, hair creams, disposable combs, Q-tips! The lounge room was also very cute and everything was extremely clean. My friend and I booked (on line) concurrent appointments for a facial and massage. Firstly, "checking in" took an inordinate amount of time b/c we had to fill out two very lengthy 'health' questionnaires - one on our phone and then one on paper. We were each sent to our respective rooms, and my friend got accidentally locked in her room, - which was the wrong room to begin with - so it took 20 minutes to resolve that and then get her moved to the right room. I was placed in the correct room, and had the same person for my facial and my massage - was wondering if she actually had credentials to perform both services. (I get both these services regularly, and would rate what I received here as just 'okay'). When we checked out, we both used credit cards for payment......Surprise! They charged us "a fee for using credit card" - This is ILLEGAL in the State of California! When I asked what the fee was for, at first the clerk said "taxes" - I asked how could there be a tax on service and at 3% (not the tax rate there) - she then changed her answer to "credit card fee". No where on their website do they state there is a fee for using a cr card. BTW - credit card companies do not charge a set 3% fee - the fees vary with the types of cards (rewards, points, etc.) the business takes in. This is underhanded and I wonder how they are claiming all the fees they collect on their tax return. More than likely they claim merchant fees as an expense. Not a trustworthy place and a little disorganized. read more

FYI if you use your bathing suit make sure you ride them off in the provided shower because I took it home and set them to dry they looked like plastic from all the salt! . Once I was able to relax in the float tank (it does take a bit to get used to your first time), I really enjoyed the relaxation time. Complete sensory deprivation! I highly recommend after floating for 60 mins to do a treatment afterwards. The reason for my post was the amazing experience I had with aesthetician "Nelly" truly someone who loves what they do and went above and beyond. She was very knowledgeable and professional during the entire treatment. I got the "works" facial. It wasn't cheap but worth every penny. I walked out saying to myself, probably one of the best facials I have had in years. And I have had many facials from some of the top aesthetician's in the OC "Orange County." Thank you Nelly! A friend and I came in to Desert Serenity to try floating for the first time and booked appointments assuming (because of the large very misleading sign outside) that out float would only be $59. Apparently, this price only applies on certain days. However, Zack (I believe that was his name) at the front desk was very accommodating and helpful and explained everything to us. He guided us through the process and explained how to prepare for the float and what to do while floating to make the experience more enjoyable. The float itself was very relaxing. If you already have a meditation practice, then this is perfect. After floating, I felt immediate relief in my neck, which is where I carry a lot of tension. We had a fantastic experience. It was our first float. Zach took great care of us. He educated us and talked us through our first session. Zach made sure everything was clean and we had all our amenities in order. Zach went above and beyond his duties for us!!! The float itself was very interesting. I have done meditation, but this was still a new experience! I loved the sensory deprivation. I was a little nervous about feeling claustrophobic, but it was not an issue at all. Time flew by. I then had unexpected toe surgery and sent several messages to the business advising them it would be a while until I could use the third. I finally was cleared to get my foot wet after 5 months and was advised by the business that my last float was expired. I realize I went beyond the parameters of the groupon but exceptions were made by other businesses ( massages ) due to a medical issue ... This left a foul taste in my mouth with Desert Serenity Float and their inflexibility. A family member purchased a 60-minute float + 60-minute couple's massage for my husband and me as a gift. We really enjoyed our experience here. We had never floated before so it was an interesting and relaxing first-time experience. My husband and I were assigned to the Glacial Moon float cabin. It is a small room with a changing space, towels, a shower, and of course the float chamber. The shower had a lovely rain showerhead (with lights that changed colors from blue to green after the water warmed up!). After rinsing off, we wiped our faces dry with the provided towels, put our earplugs in place, and climbed into the float chamber. Music was played the first 5 minutes and the last 5 minutes of our float to help give us a sense of the time. We then floated in the dark for an hour. I had some trouble finding a position that didn't put too much stress on my neck, but once I realized I didn't have to have my arms flat next to my sides, I was much more comfortable. Actually, I was so relaxed I fell asleep for about 15 minutes. My husband found he was more comfortable using the neck floatie so there are some options. The post-float room is quite relaxing and was well-stocked with water and a small selection of desserts. There is also a guestbook of sorts where you can jot down thoughts about your experience. In the downtime after our float and before our massage, we enjoyed reading the entries that had been written by other visitors. The couple's massage was great. My massage therapist listened to my preferences and I chose a deep tissue massage based on her recommendation. She applied the perfect amount of pressure and it was 60 minutes of pure bliss. So today, I watched the video and booked a session online, and arrived for my visit in anticipation of something new and unique. As a regular practitioner of TM, I'm used to quieting my mind to relieve stress. This was definitely a great way to do that as well. After getting my instructions, I showered and entered the float pod. I laid back and let the 1000 pounds of epsom salts do their thing. After the lights dimmed...and the music dimmed...I allowed my brain to float away and begin my meditation. I relaxed so much that I feel asleep! I carry a lot of stress in my neck and shoulders, so I wasn't surprised when I could feel the tension in my neck fight back against the floating. After a few minutes, the stress dissolved. I enjoyed the experience so much, I decided to book a float and massage package for next week.
