The store is packed with a huge variety of items in almost every category: * Clothes: You'll find high-quality, gently used clothes for men and women, often with designer brands mixed in, especially in their special "Pick of the Litter" area. Everything is sorted well, making it easy to find what you want. * Home Goods & Decor: This is the store's strong point. The two floors allow for a massive selection of furniture, dishes, small kitchen appliances, and unique decorations. I could spend hours in the stacks searching for rare and vintage book on subject of interest to me as well as contemporary murder mysteries that I enjoy reading. I recently found a large, chunky bracelet with the 12 signs of the zodiac carved into it for $400 and a beautiful Hamsa Hand for $75.00! But overall, you get excellent value for your money. Every dollar supports Island Senior Resources, funding important services like ride programs for medical appointments, food delivery, and support for those caring for an older adult. And everything was on sale- so I got a functional piece of art (a soap dish) for $4! When I was in a gallery that very same day with her works priced $80 and up depending on the piece. This odd little shop consists of a small house and an outdoor tent area. The front room is more what I'd call gifts and collectibles: costume jewelry, cheap toys, and novelty items (like those plastic plant beads that you're supposed to use instead of potting soil). The back rooms have more thrift-store-type used stuff: a couple of small racks of coats and clothing, but mostly old VHS tapes, books, and music. They do have a fair amount of $1 books, but many are old and dated without exactly being vintage/antique. The employee was intently watching the end of a movie when we walked in and didn't bother to greet us, but later got into a heated discussion with another customer about the type of engine on a used car the customer was trying to get the owner to buy, or something. The shop is so small that you can't escape anyone's conversation, so... it was pretty awkward. I guess this is a thrift shop in the sense that there are inexpensive used items for sale, but it appear to be a privately owned place and makes no mention of any proceeds going to a charitable cause. If you really want to thrift on the peninsula, I suggest you keep on going to Port Townsend, which at least has a Goodwill.

Don't know how decisions are made about what they put in the store, but however these decisions are made, they're good decisions :) Not overwhelmed with junk that calls itself "antique". And there's nothing here that's torn, stained or just past it. Prices fair, and sometimes surprisingly good! Stuff changes out regularly. I've bought big and small things here, spent between $500 and $5. Everything I have found here is just cool. The only problem is that Billie Jo can never remember my NAME! ;)

There are so many things to look at, I could be there for hours. They now even carry a line of handbags and clothing, that somehow blends in perfectly with the feel of the shop. AND they have a Seahawks section! If there weren't enough reasons to come here, there is also an adorable spa in the back where you can get your eyebrows waxed or get a facial. Every time I go in, there are new displays to look at and fun new things to find. This is a must see on your Vintage shopping trips!

The back rooms had what I look at as apothecary chest- tons of little drawers, if you can picture it. Except they had several of them and every drawer was filled with different jewelry findings! Beads, clasps, bails- you name it. At the front of the store were a bunch of felt hats that were also incredible. We were greeted when we entered and checked on a couple of times- I really enjoyed this shop. I was very, very tempted to buy myself one of their gorgeous semi-precious gemstone necklaces. Don't be fooled by the name: this is not a shop selling musical instruments and sheet music…read more I mean, sure, there are a few instruments to be found within (bells and whistles and whatnot), but this surprisingly spacious store is so much more than that. Populated with gifts, goods, clothing, accessories, jewelry, home décor (rugs! so. many. rugs!), hand-carved wooden furniture, and curious curios collected from the far flung corners of the world, exploring this place is a treat in itself. It's a self-contained bazaar in a building. The employee who greeted us was enamored with our newborn son, and gave him a free finger puppet, which apparently they do for every little tyke on their first visit, which was a sweet touch. My wife ended up purchasing a few trinkets and a necklace chain, but we spent more time ooh-ing and aah-ing, while conversing with the attendant, more than anything. A great place to shop, but also just to browse, explore, and absorb. Music for the eyes, indeed, but also serenity for the soul!
