I typically leave energized and not sleepy. The massage quality is at par with what one would expect for this modality. I have no complaints here. The only setback is the service rate. This place, perhaps due to lack of competition, is pricey. This has prevented me from coming regularly. That said, if you've never had a Thai massage before and are curious about what makes it different--while not planning to visit Thailand soon, or any other state where there are more spas offering this service--then do visit Thai Tranquility Bodywork. It's worth being familiar with Thai massage, and this place does a good job.

My first massage was incredible so naturally I signed up for their monthly membership. With that you get free cupping and stones with your massage. They book your appts for the next 6 months which I love. The staff has been very communicative about appts and re scheduling. Everyone is so nice. The waiting area is filled with crystals and fun oils for sale which instantly relaxes you. Talaja has been my massager for the last few times and I always leave super relaxed. About 15 minutes into my foot work, another group came in, and I was asked if I could have two women work on either foot at the same time to speed up my service. The massage was great but I wish it had not been rushed and I wish I had not had to pay the full price for 60 minutes when I was there closer to 40. Will consider going back in the future!

I like the location of this place as there seems to be plenty of parking and it's also quiet. This business is located in a small plaza along with a nail salon, dance studio and Dunkin. The receptionist was very nice and explained to me the options since this was my first visit. I went with the 40 minute reflexology and received a free hand mask which left my hands nice and soft. They kindly offered me a water on the way out. Now the reason for the 4 stars. The massage therapist I had possibly smoked right before I came in because his hands smelled quite a bit like cigarettes. The massage table I was laying on was also positioned very flat so as I was laying with my legs hanging down into a tub of warm water my lower back started to hurt a little. I did enjoy the massage and didn't feel rushed at all. I plan on coming back whenever I need a bit of relaxation.
