TLDR: This is not the company you want to trust to transport you after a medical procedure. A 15-minute ride ended up taking over an hour because the owner gave the driver the wrong address. The owner who handles dispatch is very unprofessional. The nurse called him twice when I was ready for pickup and he didn't answer until I finally called myself. When I made the reservation, I said I was going to Mathews St SW in West End. The driver took me to Matthews St NE and we ended up in Druid Hills before I noticed we were on the wrong side of town. What should have been a 15 minute ride ended up taking over an hour due to the mixup. The driver told me that's not the first time the owner had given him the wrong address. I was doped up after a medical procedure, so it's imperative that they accurately record the address during the reservation and not rely on incapacitated patients to catch these mistakes. That's exactly why hospitals won't let you leave in an Uber and insist you hire a medical transport company. I left a message for the owner relaying my concerns about my experience and no surprise, he didn't respond. read more

"Drivers you can trust..." to let you down every time. Our experiences with this company have been so terrible that they left me wondering if this is even a real business. My 82 year old father recently fell and broke his leg, making him bedridden for at least 3 months. We found Destiny Transportation Services online and they had a good website and some great reviews on Google. However, having used them twice, my ONLY explanation is that they have asked friends to write fake reviews for them. There is absolutely NO way that these "customers" have had positive experiences with this joke of a business. The first time we used them, not only did they arrive over 30 minutes late, but they made no attempt to contact us to let us know about the delay. Once I finally reached Edmond, he told us they'd be arriving shortly. No apology. No explanation. The ONLY positive thing I will put in this review is that once the drivers did arrive, they were able to successfully transfer my 6'2" 200+ lb dad from the bed to a stretcher relatively easily and kindly. No way could my mom and I have handled it which is why we were willing to pay over $400 to transport my dad to the doctor. We finally got on the road (an hour later than anticipated), & almost immediately they pulled into a gas station because of mechanical problems. After a few minutes, they decided to keep going, but about 5 miles later, they pulled over again (this time on the side of the highway) with both my parents in the van. I'm going to stop here & say that I'm not so unreasonable as to think that car troubles can be avoided 100% of the time. Yes, I do think that some type of regular maintenance would have prevented the engine from overheating, but I also know that things happen. However, as a business owner myself, no way would I have allowed a new customer's first impression to remain so negative. I was fully expecting a phone call or text, apologizing for the inconvenience and offering a discount on future services. The ONLY reason we were able to keep my dad's appt was that the doctor had an opening over an hour later. Otherwise, we would've had to go through this incredibly stressful, physically demanding, painful experience of transporting my dad to the doctor's office again the next day...and that's if he even had an opening. Feel free to judge me for the next part of this review. I should have learned my lesson and gone with a different company. However, with the incredible stress we were facing during the holidays of learning how to care for a newly bedridden family member, researching our long-term care insurance, trying to find a home healthcare agency, etc., we decided to go the easy route and give Destiny another chance. I had communicated with Edmond via text a few times, so I texted him to make arrangements and to express our disappointment with the first experience we had. I shared with him that we would like to give them another chance, but given our initial experience, we would really appreciate some type of discount. He was hesitant about it, but we landed on a measly $25 discount. By this time, I decided to just go ahead and use them again, knowing that they would pretty much have to blow us out of the water to consider using them for the numerous doctor's appointments coming up over the next 3+ months. In no uncertain terms, we agreed via text on a price and a pick up of Monday, December 28, at noon. We scheduled my dad's in-home physical therapy appointment for 11:45 AM so that the PT could assist us with getting my dad into a wheelchair before Destiny arrived. At 12:07, Destiny had not arrived yet so we called Edmond. He told us that he had us down for the WRONG DAY but that someone would be there within 20-30 minutes. They arrived 75 MINUTES later, & they had to use a physical jack to lower the van's wheelchair ramp, and makeshift seatbelts to help secure his location. Once they got my dad in the van, they were so rushed that they were literally trying to close the door in such a way that my dad's BROKEN leg would've been mashed up against the door for the 25 minute ride. My dad's protests were being ignored, but thankfully my husband stepped in and made them change my dad's position so that his leg would be safe during the ride. Once again, we were very grateful that my dads orthopedist had another appointment available over an hour later than originally planned. We got to the appt, & when they dropped us off, he assured us that he would stay in the area and that we can give him a call as soon as we were ready. He made a very clear point that we wouldn't have to wait on him. We reached out to him at 4:19 & said we were just about ready. He said he was 15 minutes away and would leave right away. He arrived at 5:05, 46 minutes later, and by this point, my dad was beyond agitated from this long, stressful day. PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!!! AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. read more

You guys are amazing!!!! My first transit with a different company fell through because we did not have portable oxygen tanks and as soon as we were able to get them they could no longer come out. Destiny medical transportation came out for me last minute and were able to move my mother-in-law from her apartment to my house (even with her apartment having stairs!). They were affordable and timely. I cannot thank you enough. You made this stressful less stressful. read more

Edmond And his crew have helped me several times get to my doctors appointments. I'm in a wheelchair and I can't do transfers into our car anymore so I have to rely on the transportation service. I got his number from the emergency Metro ambulance service. They help me out and been on time basically every time I use them. read more

Edmond, Brad and Bridgette are ALL fantastic people who are very understanding and helpful. My partner has had a stroke and is in a wheelchair and is quiet uncomfortable in the chair still. But these awesome people are kind and gentle and really help him relax! They are always on time, usually a few minutes early, which greatly reduces our stress about being on time! The ride is easy and peasant. We are so happy with them that we've pre-arranged our rides to therapy for the next 4 weeks! read more

I have been using Destiny for about 4 years now and have nothing but praise for Edmond and his people. They are courteous, helpful and always willing to go the extra mile. My wife is in a wheelchair and needs assistance whenever she needs to go anywhere in Marietta. I just have to give Destiny an address and they know at least two or three ways of getting us to our destination. I would recommend Destiny Transport to anyone looking for assistance in getting to and from any where in the North Atlanta/Marietta area. read more

I have used Destiny Transportation Kennesaw for for quite a few years. They have always been reliable and affordable.

We had to move my wife, who couldn't walk to the hospital on short notice. After many calls to other ambulance services i was given destiny's number. Edmund was extremely helpful in setting up a short notice pickup. The ambulance arrived on time, the crew professional and caring. When they got to the hospital for what we expected would be a direct admissions, they were not allowed in. They took the initiative and arranged an admission through the ER With my wife's surgeon. They will be my go to ambulance service when i need one. Ed read more
