I played nice, but the fact that their dedicated members couldn't point me in the right direction spoke volumes on their communication abilities. The father of my children has them enrolled in Wednesday bible study, which to my knowledge, they don't do much of, because every time I have picked them up and asked what they have learned, they tell me all they have done is play. What's the point of spending money if my child isn't learning anything and can't reiterate a single lesson learned? In addition, this business that calls themselves a church, has an after school program at Destin Elementary School, which again, their father enrolled them in. Typically, Tuesday is the day they spend with their father, but based on our discussed custody arrangements for this particular day, I was to pick them up from the program. However, their fathers girlfriend intervened and tried picking them up without permission. She was on the pick up list, and she picks them up sometimes, but I, their mother, was there to get them. This establishment nearly released our children into the care of this (still strange to me) woman and prioritized releasing them into her care over mine, all because of a pick up list. When I tell y'all, I almost had a heart attack... How about pull a birth certificate? How about educate yourselves on Florida law, because according to the state, she has absolutely no say so over a mother or father of a child. I am appalled and disgusted at the fact that they would willingly prioritize giving our children to some strange woman over their own mother. Thankfully, their father intervened and they were released into my custody today. If not, they would be looking at some serious lawsuits. But still, why are they giving my children to this woman over their mother? They put themselves into a custody battle between me and their father although NO paperwork has been provided for them that says only their father has the right to make decisions. He shouldn't have to approve me for pick up. I AM THEIR MOTHER. She is simply not. In addition, I've asked Ms. Gea multiple times to volunteer in this church. I've passed a background check to be able to volunteer in the community, but she purposefully has taken her time getting to my application to volunteer in the church and spend time with my children. She said I needed to be an active member in the church and I attended and did just that, but still to no avail. This church will pick and choose who they want to be part of it and I don't find that very Godly at all. I do not recommend this "church".

This is a come as you are church, no requirements, nothing to sign up for, no pressure, nothing to join. Been coming here for years, and now that we moved out of town, we can still stay connected, the service is on You Tube and there are plenty of ways to get involved. Started by a couple that has a passion to reach out to their community in whatever way they can. Come in and see for yourself what Shoreline is all about, and I'm willing to bet you stay. It's never too late, come by and meet the staff and see for yourself.

However, I after not even 10 minutes of being at Resurrection, I regretted that decision. When I walked in, there was a Priest who was not in vestments greeting everyone - with a dog laying next to him. I didn't think too much of it, since it was only in the front room of the church, and not exactly the sanctuary. However, once I walked into the sanctuary, I was shocked. There was immediately a set of chairs with an electric keyboard and a man standing there playing a guitar. I saw no one genuflect, which also was a red flag. However, after going to a pew, I don't blame them, since there is no Tabernacle in the sanctuary, and there is no uniform Altar. I got in my pew, kneeled to pray before mass, and immediately was interupted by the guy playing guitar. He started talking into a microphone making the laity rehearse songs with him. So, I stopped praying and sat back down. Then, the unvested Priest from earlier walked into the sanctuary, and was lead in by his dog. His dog then walked up and down the sections of the church, while the Priest just stood there smiling. Then, mass started, and that same Priest was casually walking out of the sanctuary while the Celebrant was processing in! And his dog wasn't with him either. Then, I noticed the two servers - They were both wearing athletic shorts and slippers with their Alb on top. They then took a seat on the "Altar" in the center of the church. From then on, the whole mass was extremely irreverent. Not once did Father chant or sing anything, except for once during the consecration. Nothing was in latin, there were piano, guitars, and drums playing the whole time, and apparently everyone in the pews were Priests, since they all practiced orans posture during the Our Father. Overall, I was really disappointed. And I wasn't the only one - I saw multiple people and families walk out in the middle of mass, nodding their heads in disappointment. If you're in Miramar and are looking to fulfill your Sunday Obligation, I do not suggest coming to "Church of the Resurrection" (this is what they call themselves). Overall, not a good experience, and I hope this helps. Pray for our Priests and all Clergy, as they are under attack.

It…read morewas my first time at the new location with my family of 6 and I was asked to leave by a guy named Anthony, not because my baby was being loud, but just because he saw that I had a baby and wanted to prevent a disruption of their recording of the service. He asked me to step out and said my only option was childcare or watch the service from the other room. This raises many red flags and is a huge problem in churches today, not only for children but people with distracting disabilities as well. Glad it happened early on so that I didn't waste any more time at this church.

The priest is friendly and the homily isn't too long winded. The point is driven well, concisely without being too stuffy. I really love coming here, and I feel like I learn something each time. The cathedral itself has great high ceilings and tons of natural light which I feel is super important in a house of God. Fantastic parish- If you're visiting in the area (or have just moved here like I have) I really suggest you check this one out :) Oh and super cutes!!! The children bring up food during the offering of the gifts, and its so ADORABLE to see all the little ones racing up to put in their can of (x,y,z) in the basket. The entire body of Christ worshipping God together. The teaching was encouraging, convicting and POWERFUL!!! The presence of the Lord is tangible. My 5&6 year old loved kids ministry and my teenager loved the youth!!! If you believe in FULL GOSPEL and that God doesn't stop working and doesn't stop using people THIS IS IT!!! Located in the Florida panhandle it is the church of choice for many "snowbirds." I was invited by another snowbird to attend a services; I did. The very first time I went was like home coming; nearly every person present came up to me and shook my hand and/or gave me a hug. The services begin with instrumental music and singing by professional and ex-professional musicians and singers. Thus the nickname "The Rock & Roll Church." Stop by and praise the Lord with a great congregation.
