It consists of four floors with different themes including a movie theatre, jazz bar and the music cafe where I usually end up. Scaling the stairs presents you with really cool wall paintings which sets the relaxed vibe of the whole place. The venue is quite intimate and small so at times you basically touch toes with the artist performing. I have never been under the impression that it has been cramped for space though, which might have something to do with that you don't get the most well-known artists playing here. I can see them playing here just before their breakthrough and starting to play the big venues or maybe returning from the big venues, either way it suits my taste just fine. :) Check out their website or Facebook for a clear schedule of who is playing when or when they run their next movie themed sunday. They are very active updating these different channels which is a great way to stay up to date especially if you don't live close by.

The love and care put into running the Huset theater is exemplified in the hand-picked eclectic decor, which is hard to explain but seems to combine many decades at once (you'll have to see for yourself)! The walls of Huset are covered in street art, band posters, and movie posters, and you feel cultured just walking in there! I would love to go back to see a show, or to hang out at the bar with friends. The other floors seemed lively on a Tuesday night, so Huset may be a good place to explore any day of the week!

I know it sounds weird but it was phenomenal. After soup we had the smoked salmon spread with an artichoke mousse and then the main course of steak and veggies. Dessert was truffles and raspberry cheesecake. All of the food was great, especially considering the quantity they had to serve in a short amount of time. Now onto the show. Think variety show but good! There was a lot of singing, modern dance and a burlesque show that the males LOVED. All of the shows were tastefully done and there definitely is some talent in the room. There was a sign outside for an English improv night that night and I made a mental note for later. As it happened, it was round the corner from my hotel so was a no brainer. The entry fee was 80 kroner. At the time of my visit, this equated to about £9. The drinks were really affordable - 55 kroner for a double G&T. Everyone had warned me about how expensive Copenhagen is, but to me, this isn't much more expensive than going out in Manchester. The comedy itself was great. I was chatting to one of the guys who was in the show, and he told me that they run the night on a Monday too. Well worth a visit when in Copenhagen!

I ordered at the counter, then sat on a couch that was situated on what I presume is the stage for improv, and in a few minutes received my double latte (30 kr). For the next hour or so, I just sat, sipped, and relaxed. I'd definitely revisit this cafe for the great coffee and environment--and hopefully the improv!
