I wanted to try different models on and, after a long wait, managed to grab a sales assistant. He only brought me one of the 3 models I was interested in, and seemed really disappointed when I told him I wanted to try on the other 2 models. While I was trying on the one pair he had brought back, he was ranting to his colleagues that his shift was finishing in fifteen minutes and didn't want to do any unpaid overtime that day. He tried to argue with me that he did not know where they were stored, then that they weren't easily accessible, then said he would fetch them and vanished. About fifteen minutes later I spotted him chatting to colleagues at the entrance of the store, then he signed the sheet of paper used by employees to clock in/clock out and left. He hadn't asked another of his colleagues to locate the two other pairs of shoes for me so I eventually left, having wasted over one hour in that store! It seems that the staff are all students, and they are definitely not motivated but prefer to stand there chatting.

(And the ladies in Bath seem to take their sport VERY seriously) The shop assistants, however, were lovely and politely laughed while I explained the significance of the Sweaty Betty socks I was buying. I'm certainly not new to bikes and needed a quick fix (i was visiting a friend and had no tools on me). He takes a quick look at it and tells me I should most certainly dump it and get a new one. Something I happen to know as utter rubbish. I won't go on a rant about that situation. Long story short, a less knowledgeable costumer would've done what he suggested, and spent a fortune on a new bike. That is not costumer service and, quite frankly, a fairly dishonest thing to do. Like I said, bar that guy, the shop is great.
