I had never been. The menu was extensive and a bit overwhelming with so many selections. Intent on ice cream, not knowing boba was an option, I began there. The ice cream available were ube, matcha, chocolate and vanilla - familiar flavors that did not interest me. Boba it was (and usually is). Never considering crème brûlée as a boba option I decided to order the Taro Crème Brûlée ($6.75 for 24oz - cheap). The drink was VERY coconut forward, very sweet for my taste but enjoyable as the ice diluted it. The boba was very few, not a presence in most sips. The gentleman who assisted at the register was very friendly and patient as I decided. We did not wait long for our orders considering the crowd began after us. Haven't been here in awhile. Decided to go in to get the triple chocolate Dubai strawberries and there were barely any chocolate. Pretty upset They just spread chocolate on the side of the cup to make it look like there's chocolate inside. Very disappointed. What a waste! read more

The tanghulu was good, but not as good as I've had in Asia. The sugar and/or fruit didn't taste very fresh. Not sure what it was, maybe the stick was just hanging out for a while. As you can see in the photo there was some strawberry juice running down the stick. I will say it was my friend's first time trying these, and she said she really liked it. However I loved the other thing we had, which was the Dubai chocolate covered strawberries! I enjoyed these way better. The pistachio sauce was there, but it was overpowered by the chocolate sauce so I didn't really taste it. I like pistachio so I would have liked more balance in the flavors. I love the kadayif, the crunchy straw-like topping. My friend asked what this was, and I couldn't tell her, but upon doing some research it's finely shredded dough. I really enjoy the crunchy texture that it brings. Plenty of strawberries in the cup. This is probably my favorite type of dessert-fresh fruit with a little something extra! My niece wanted to stop my Devil and Angel after we had dinner at a nearby restaurant. I never been here before so I was excited to see what desserts they offered. We walked in and immediately there's a long line, but the line does move fast thankfully and I knew this place had to be good. While waiting in line the inside is a cute pink with neon designed lights it's too cute there is ample tables for sitting and enjoying your sweets treats. They serve boba, Tanghulu, Dubai chocolate strawberries and so much more. My diabetes was in sugar shock okay lol. My niece ordered the Dubai chocolate strawberries and all strawberries Tanghulu. I ended up ordering the just the all strawberry Tanghulu with that had a grape at the end lol. I really wanted to try the Dubai chocolate strawberries but probably wasn't a good idea. I've visited this location a handful of times and was never super impressed by the desserts I've gotten and multiple visits I've had my order wrong. On my last visit, I asked for a soft serve with vanilla ice cream with oreos. Previously, I've avoided going to Devil & Angel, even though it was the only place in the Veranda to get boba and ice cream (at the time). I think the location has improved greatly since first opening. The drinks are decent and they've added Tanghulu (candied fruit) to the menu. We now always come in for Tanghulu which comes in your choice of just strawberry, strawberry and grape, and mixed fruit. There was also a bit of remodeling, which makes the store look more clean and chic. Previously there was a wall of fake plants, which in theory looked nice, but it was filled with dust and wasn't cleaned out. read more

This is more so for Boba teas and not so much ice cream. The many options for Boba offer something for everyone! They even have the infamous Dubai chocolate strawberry treat. The ambiance is cute and definitely set up for a few selfies. We were lucky enough to go when it wasn't super crowded because usually the line is out the door. The server was really sweet and funny. I had the matcha vanilla swirl soft serve with a fish cone - it was good and not too sweet. One thing though- my friend found a hair in her boba after she'd been drinking it. They were able to refund her and give her a fresh one so kudos on their customer service, but hope they control the hair situation in the kitchen. Also wish it had better AC when it's hot outside. First time visiting this store today. Everything was just ok. My little one got the ice cream and my friend and I each got the Royal Milk Tea. All items were only partially finished and then thrown away because they weren't as tasty as we were hoping for. I was honestly surprised my little couldn't finish the ice cream since she devours something similar whenever we go to SomiSomi. Price wise for the area wasn't bad. Each item was $6.75 before tax. Yesterday I came in with my cousin. I ordered a mangonada for myself and a Biscoff frappe for my girlfriend. The menu did not disclose the ingredients. It only said "Biscoff." There was nothing listed that mentioned peanut butter or peanuts. My girlfriend is severely allergic to peanuts. She drank almost the entire shake before noticing it tasted like peanuts. I tried it as well and also tasted peanuts. I immediately rushed back inside to ask the staff if there were peanuts in the drink. They told me they put peanut butter in the Biscoff frappe. This is extremely concerning. Peanut allergies are very common and can be life-threatening. Ingredients like peanut butter should be clearly disclosed on the menu so customers can make safe choices. Because the drink contained peanuts and it was not listed anywhere, I had to rush my girlfriend to the hospital since she did not have her EpiPen with her. Thankfully she received treatment, but the situation was very scary and could have been prevented with proper ingredient disclosure. I strongly believe businesses should clearly list ingredients, especially major allergens like peanuts. This experience was frightening and made what should have been a simple dessert stop turn into a medical emergency. read more

My granddaughter wanted to go here for a treat, and wanted grandma to try the shaved Ice. We ordered the Strawberry and Mango flavors. They have a large poster showing a big one and small one. My daughter ordered for me and the person behind the counter never said there were two sizes so she ordered the one available. I should have asked what was in this shaved Ice, since I'm not familiar with this dessert style. When it was ready, I was shocked at the enormous amount!!!! Not a good thing, as it was the most sickly sweet thing I've had. I took one spoon full and my mouth was instantly coated with sugar. I could not eat it. They also drizzled something over it, so the strawberries were coated. My granddaughter liked her mango one, but kids love sweet things. For my health, I had to toss it in the garbage, and I hate doing stuff like that normally. I don't like to waste food, but this was literally a huge pile of sugar without even tasting like strawberries. Didn't realize it was mixed with condensed milk. Again, I don't know much about these desserts. All I can say is $15.95 is way too much for this disaster of a dessert. I asked for a little cup of water to get the sugar taste out of my mouth, and the woman behind the counter said they don't do that, and you have to buy a bottle of water. Kinda mean and gross. So, the other reason for the one star is how dirty the place was. As you walked in, the door was filthy, the chairs, and the walls near the booth. Just grimy!
