It is about twenty minutes from the Torpoint Ferry, this links Plymouth with Cornwall. You will need to have a car, and the roads are very narrow and winding to get there, so be prepared! It is hars to explain how to get there, but stick on the main road and follow the signs for Whitsand Bay, then signs for Rame Head. You will pass a church and then a small row of houses, then you follow the narrow lane and get to a large car park. You can park there for free which is good, and then you can walk down and then back up to the ancient church that is on top of the cliff. It is spectacular the amazing views out over the sea, and you will be in ore with the beauty of this place! A little hard to find, ask someone for directions in Cornwall as this is probably best. On a really good day this place will truly take your breathe away! Also a really nice place to see the sun set.

Also has a Spar attached that stocks lots of local foods, fresh produce, newspapers, cards etc etc. Staff are generally friendly, the premises are big enough to comfortably take a pushchair and the queues are not usually too long. There are a few parking spaces at the rear of the shop but as it is in the centre of the town access is not difficult from the many other town-centre car parks.

A very large shop with the post office section at the back and a newsagent type area at the front…read more Queues can get very long at times as this is a popular spot.As you are winding your way around the queue area there are displays of cards, envelopes etc. but these have to be paid for at the front of the shop only. They do have many service tills however so the queue usually moves quickly and the staff are very friendly and polite. The stock is vast and you can spend ages picking the right card! I tend to go elsewhere however if i just want a few stamps to avoid the queues.

The swimming pool is a little outdated now, but the pool is very large and they also have a large childrens pool with additional seating as well as a large diving pool with several diving boards at varying heights. There is tiered seating to view the main pool and the balcony spreads all they way around the Diving pool to the childrens pool too so you can view all three pools. The changing rooms are large and clean, there are lots of lockers and several large changing rooms suitable for disabled people or families with young children to get changed in comfortably. The showers leave a little to be desired, the water is just warm and comes out like a trickle so you really have to have a quick rinse and make sure you shower properly at home. There are hairdryers you can pay for, and plenty of toilets. The pool itself is clean, and is very well supervised. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and there are always proper stairs put out so you can actually walk into the pool rather then climb. This swimming pool is open for sessions as it also caters for schools, Aquafit, the , a Pisces club (people with disabilities), the Junior Rookie Lifesaving Club and the Devonport Royal Swimming Association. There are discounts on admittance if you have a plymcard too.
