In case you hadn't noticed, the last few years have seen a bit of an explosion of craft markets all over the place. For the most, this is a very good thing, as it both provides places for crafters to sell their wares, and a place for those of us who want something a bit more unique when we are shopping. The downside is that sometimes all these markets can feel a bit "samey". That's why I quite like to venture north to the Devonport markets, as they tend to have a few sellers that only sell here so you don't see them all over the place.
I'd say these markets tend slightly towards the "cool middle class family" market, with quite a lot of children's clothes and toys on sale, so if you've got presents to buy for these sort of people, this is a good place to go! read more
