They had scheduled appointment customers they were helping and managed to work us right in without neglecting them. Art and Shelly are fair, knowledgeable and extremely kind. Art spent so much time with us explaining the ebike world to us and making sure we made an informed decision with test rides and answering all our questions. Before we left he made sure everything was fit and working properly to our satisfaction and patiently making changes to our needs. I feel confident Art and Shelly will continue to support our purchase above and beyond should we have any future problems or repairs. Our maiden trip was 18 miles on some hill country that I certainly would not have entertained on my mountain bike. In my late 50's it has opened up a whole new world of possibilities and much needed exercise. If you are considering an ebike go to RAR first!

I purchased my pedal assist Boomerang model, about 5 years ago, and have absolutely loved it! Being able to climb the hills throughout our Duneland of Lake Michigan has been the thrill of my days. Recently I had a mishap and fell off the bike, and the bike quit working. Luckily Steven, the mechanic, was able to solve the dilemma and has me back on my bike. If you are considering a pedal assist bicycle, try one out for sure. It's nice to know there is someone nearby that can fix and maintain the bicycle.

But three weeks later I had not received the item and emailed them looking into it. I did not receive a reply. I called the number listed on their site - no answer; I left a message, no reply. I emailed again. I left a message for the top brass listed on their site - no response. This went on for five weeks. The only time I ever heard back was when they responded to the Better Business Bureau after I filed a complaint, saying that they would refund my money. Stay away from the awful crooks. The plan worked great: got off the train at Beverly Shores, grabbed some snacks, rented some bikes. They even found us one with a basket to carry our supplies, and recommended a nice loop to the Century of Progress Houses nearby, which was easy to do in the way to the State Park. On the return, I screwed up and didn't allow enough time to get back to meet the train. I turned in my bike, but my son got to the train platform just as it was time to leave. I ended up leaving his bike on the platform and calling the store to come get it, and they covered for my bonehead move. In short, they went above and beyond what I expected. We had a great time, apart from having to rush back, but that was all my fault. Highly recommend.
