When friends ask me where they can get professional quality prints of their calling cards, brochures, flyers, posters, and other marketing collaterals and graphic design projects, I only recommend Dexact. True, printing presses are a dime a dozen these days and they can certainly print these products without any hitch, but the problem with those is that they usually require that you print a minimum 1,000 copies (or else, they charge a monumental fee for a few copies only).
Dexact will print a single copy of a magazine (as they did so for my sister for her school project), 50 copies of business cards, five copies of a poster...you get the drift.
Quality wise, they win over the regular print shops, hands down. Their digital prints are highly color accurate, and they can do added effects that only the printing presses usually deliver like precision die-cutting, mounting, binding, etc. You can also choose from various specialty papers, so no need to be confined to just bond paper.
Don't make the mistake of going there during Finals Week of Benilde's School of Design and Arts students, though. The place will be PACKED! Space is limited in the stop, and the printing queue can get frustrating, especially if you need a rush job. Best to call ahead to see how busy they are. Drop off your project. Then come back after an hour or two or at the end of the day. read more
