It's a brand you pretty much expect to find wherever you go. This store fits that quota, it's nothing too exciting/different, it's your typical, average WHSmith. The store is a little dark, and while it isn't as modern as some of their newer stores, the store isn't as old-fashioned as some of their older ones which aren't very easy on the eye either. It is in a good location within Bolton town centre, it is a couple of minutes away from most shops in the town centre as well as Bolton Interchange. The prices are a little high, but they do have a satisfactory selection of books/drinks, nothing too impressive but if you're thirsty in town and looking for a quick beverage or to put on your lottery, without much of a queue and/or without having to go into a larger store such as one of the nearby supermarkets, this isn't too bad. Although three floors doesn't necessarily mean that it is bigger or contains more stock than the average WHSmith. Actually, it feels a bit cluttered... when we walked in it actually felt a bit like a location of The Works rather than a WHSmith. We didn't go upstairs, but the main floor has magazines, cards, stationary while the bottom floor has books. We were actually there looking for books and while they have a decent selection, it isn't as large as some of the other stores I have been to. Also if you have a large shopping bag or back pack, you may want to watch turning around and moving about as some of the spots in the store are quite narrow. It can be difficult to find a staff member, especially if you are on the bottom floor and the staff are on the other floors. I only saw stairs to access the other floors, so I'm not sure if it is accessible for all customers.

I came here to post a letter, there didnt seem to be a Post Box, it just was a hidden counter service, it didn't feel like a full post office but they did still sell a selection of envelopes. There was a large selection of drinks, however some of the pricing was a little expensive such as a Lipton Iced Tea costing £1.29 which normally retals at around £0.99. The overall vibe and feel of the store was average, not too great but one thing saved this store from getting a low two star rating and that was - Customer Service. Having been well and truly drowned in the Manchester rain, my envelope was ruined and wet too, but the man behind the counter went out of his way and gave me a free envelope and a pen to use to re-write the event and then of course he helped get it posted for me, which was really kind. I think this shop is great for the offers they have on their books. They always get the best sellers in here and if they don't have they will order it for you and have it in store for you by the end of the week. I really can't fault them! It's a shame really because the wh smith in blackburn has had to move to a smaller premesis as there is a nwe shopping centre being built. They don't have as much stuff in this shop but still i can't complain! I just hope they get a bigger shop once the new shopping centre is built. I love the sales in here! Manchester Souvenirs & News have had locations popping up all over the city of late as the…read morenewsagents' chain look to expand - this is probably one of my favourite stores they have in the city, and I do like it much more than their newer locations at Arndale Centre Exchange Square, Shudehill and Deansgate, as well as their other location at the other side of Piccadilly Gardens. Refurbished of late to include a Post Office, this is one of the latest opening Post Offices in the area which is open from 6 in the morning to 6 in the evening throughout the week, opening a couple of hours later on Sunday and 8 - 8 on Saturday. The Post Office inside this newsagents is all the more important especially with the Town Hall's refurbishment meaning the Post Office there is out of action for now, and this one does seem a little quieter with less queuing compared to the other Post Office in their other store at Piccadilly Plaza. Despite being located in an older building on Mosley Street, close to Primark and Metrolink services, the inside of the store is pretty modern including multiple friendly staff working the store and Post Office checkouts as well as a pretty decent drinks/news selection, although I do find the prices to be a tad higher compared to nearby. 4* - A very innovative idea to add a Post Office into this store after the Town Hall's closer for refurbishment was announced which meant there would still be a Post Office on Mosley Street, while still being a useful store in a good and central location too.

I drove to toys r us and entering the place was like a kids dream. It's a good job I don't remember this place first whenever I receive any money! I sought out what I wanted, amidst wandering and pondering through the isles of how much cooler some of these toys were compared to my gadgets. WATERGUNS!!! Have you actually seen the range they have?? I wish I'd taken a picture. You had the cheap, the decent and the expensive but one could be found worthwhile to last the summer of fun we planned ahead :) Even though the water pistle extravaganza escaped photographic evidence, the giant Lego built Lego man did not! From the outside the store isn't much to look at, it's a little tired and drab and the window displays are unenthusiastic and as the saying goes 'nothing to write home about'. I thin the main thing that invited people in is the sheer lack of anywhere better to go as there is literally only a handful of shops here and it's always nice to try and 'go local' to the independant stores. Although access is fairly easy especially with a buggy it doesn't really improve once you enter. It looks just as drab on the inside and is uninspiring. The shop is a fairly decent size but the decor and lighting makes it feel smaller and the main thing that comes to mind is 'grey'. They carry a variety of electrical appliances but don't expect jazzy displays of the greatest and latest trends, however if you're just after a washing machine or cooker etc it does what it says on the time and sells electrics, in Breightmet. The staff are helpful and approachable and don't 'pounce' on you which several of the larger chain stores are guilty of and yet in all honesty, I personally would prefer to go to one of the chains and travel that bit further. If the place was updated I think it would attract a lot more business.

A very useful shop to know about!…read more Justicia is a fairtrade shop, meaning they only sell fairtrade produce -- stuff which guarantees a better deal for producers in less developed countries. They boast the widest selection of fairly traded goods in Bolton, which is quite an achievement as there are no small number of places in Bolton that have committed themselves to fairtrade principles. Although specialising in craft, they also sell other fairtrade goods such as some food and stationery. The prices they charge are quite reasonable (I understand they are a non-profit organisation) and the staff are amongst the friendliest I have ever come across. There are some Council car parks near by, but you will have to pay to park there. All in all, however, this shop is definitely worth a visit -- particularly in the run-up to Christmas if you're short of gift ideas.
