The food was very good. The location is absolutely stellar! We made a reservation online for our anniversary, and we were really excited to go out. We get there and the lady who seats you wasn't very friendly, and then she wanted to seat us straight in the sun when there was a spot in the shade open so I asked to be seated in there. This seemed to annoy the young lady. Our waitress never introduced herself, and we seemed to be bothering her the entire time by just sitting there. We never asked for a refill, any special accommodations to our food. We were polite, said yes ma'am, please and thank you. She never once refilled our drinks, seemed to be annoyed when she offered us dessert and we asked what they had. She did hand the table next to us free cannolis for their anniversary . (We're not upset we didn't get anything free... we just wanted a pleasant experience.) She only became polite when it came time for the bill since she probably wanted a nice tip. Such a shame because this place should be 5 stars, but the service lacks refinement and maturity. We went twice in the last two weeks. First time would have been ok, but we were seated by the exterior patio door, which was extremely loud and jarring every time it closed, which was every 10 seconds. It was very hard to enjoy our dinner with that banging that echoed throughout the exposed ductwork. Second experience started out fine, we were there for drinks and dessert, asked to be seated outside and they put us at a high top in the corner. We were sitting there about 10 minutes when a teenaged boy very loudly told us they made a mistake and that we had to move....literally everyone around us stopped their conversations and stared. So we moved to where we were instructed to go. THEN we were told to move AGAIN. Come on. We told the boy that he was embarrassingly loud and he immediately got defensive and wanted to go "ask everyone" if he was loud. Unreal. When we left we told the manager that this was inappropriate and she blamed us. We told her about the obnoxious loud door and she said that it's been that way for 8 years Overall, the food and drinks are fine, atmosphere would be great except the noise of the exposed ducts, and the service is despicable. read more

Nice fall day, so I headed to Clayton. Got there 5 minutes after the restaurant closed for lunch, but the lounge was open and offered pizza and wings. I ordered the bianco pizza. It's a white sauce base, topped with spinach, caramelized onions, and a honey drizzle. Absolutely delicious. Great view of the river and ships. The reviews are accurate. Sitting outside by the water is the best part of this restaurant. Kids complained that the soda tasted off. I ordered a lemon drop berry martini and it just wasn't good. Cheap vodka was used and they had a sugar rim but used that sugar in the raw which was just gross. Also every drink resulted in melted sugar condensation dripping everywhere and making things sticky. The food was seriously lacking too. Kids each got a cheese pizza from the kids menu. On the menu the price was listed as $8. We were charged $10 for each. They tasted fine but nothing special. I got the deli pepperoni pizza. Asked for it to be extra crispy. It came out and the edges were crispy - looked good. But the middle of the pizza had raw dough and it had no flavor at all. My friend got the hot wings. Said they were the worst wings she'd ever had. Another friend ordered the chicken fettuccine. It wasn't delivered with the rest of the food. They had forgotten his order and didn't bring it out until 20 minutes later. We told them to forget it at that point and it was probably a blessing bc it looked super gross. Not one cherry pepper found.(Per menu was included) The calamari was a little overcooked however still good. Main course took a while to come out, however I did appreciate our waitresses telling us in advance. I ordered the Filet Mignon with buttered mashed potatoes & asparagus (that's what the menu states). Received broccoli instead of asparagus. Thank goodness I like both veggies. Perfection on the medium rare filet. Every bite was heavenly. Advised our waitress that it was my sister's birthday if they could put a candle on the cannolis... she did not disappoint. Only take away check with waitress if everything on the menu is available and comes with the meal. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back to try other menu items. We tried to make reservation on open table but were told no reservations available for a party of 5 . There was every time available from 5-7. Tried calling 5 times, no answer. Called one more time and was told couldn't accommodate "large party" (of 5?) however patio was first come first serve. I'm going to give this place 5 stars. And I didn't even eat there. Why? Because my teenage children went out to eat there (without a reservation) on a busy Saturday night. They were treated so kindly and given a seat overlooking the water. I truly appreciated this establishments care and assistance. Have to add this though - they brought back some pizza to the hotel. So made a micro vaca out of it The food here was fabulous I had this home made fettuccini in a home made pesto sauce with seared scallops shrimp and freshly caught perch right from the shore line It was really good first time eating perch too!! We were looking to sit and eat along the waterfront in Clayton which is why we chose this restaurant. For anyone with mobility issues I am not sure you could be accommodated might want to check first. We were lucky enough to sit outside on a gorgeous day. Our server was very nice with great personality although not the most attentive. To be honest had the personality not been great I would have had an issue with the service. We ordered an appetizer and a main each and found that the food was good but pricey.My main the chicken parmigiana was $28 it was average sized and tasted alright. For the price would have thought that at least a side salad would have been included. Overall although it was pricey we really enjoyed dining along the water. Meatballs to start are also really good, but could use some bread to go along with amazing red sauce. 4 stars because service was just okay. Waited for water to be refilled and took about 15 minutes to get the check. They served us bread during the meal which was a little odd considering we all had pasta dishes. Friday night for dinner - we had a reservation for 7pm but when we arrived our table was not ready - so we had to wait for about 20 minutes. The hostess was very friendly always checking if our table would be ready. Finally she gave us two a table for four to seat us. It's a nice restaurant, nice ambiance inside and if you can sit on the patio (it was to cold / windy) it must be wonderful. We had a very nice and friendly server. We started with some truffle fries (were really hungry), a nice portion to share. I had the special "greek style" pizza with a garden salat and my wife took the Arincini - not "haute cuisine" but all tasted very well and we got enough food. On a lake or sea what is better than enjoying a nice pizza with a good bottle of red wine (Napa Cellars Merlot - they have Opus One on the wine list)... you just feel like being in Italy ;-). I have to mention the homemade carrot cake - we just love this cake. Overall we got what we had expected after a "harder" start but definitely a place we would go again. read more

Enjoyed our brick oven meatball pizza with caramelized onions, Caesar salad, and amazing Asian ribs with really good sauce and side pineapple salsa. Everything was delicious, we didn't feel rushed. We had dinner at DiPrinzios recently. This was at least our third time dining here. We have had some decent food here in the past. I ordered chicken parmigiana with angel hair. My wife had the bolognese. First the good. The bolognese was hot and tasty. The chicken parm was so tough that I could barely cut it. The angel hair was all mushed together in a large clump. It was very disappointing especially at $28 which didn't even include a salad. I wish that I would have ordered the bolognese. After that disappointing meal, I doubt that we will return. read more
