Awesome bakery! Really cute spot with great baked goods & cupcakes. I remember being a kid/teen and going to my dentist and the wonderful & kind receptionist would tell my mom and I about her daughter, and her daughter's cupcake truck! Sure enough we eventually started seeing the cupcake truck all over West Chester- the cupcakes were so decadent and delicious! It was exactly what WC needed. It's always a special treat for the office because the flavors are always different and it's fun to decipher the variety of gourmet flavors. No one is ever disappointed! The place is a cute and cozy shop at the end of a row of shops on a main street in West Chester. I was able to easily park across the street in West Chester Boro's parking lot. I really appreciated that they wrote out the ingredients of each cupcake on a board, that way I didn't have to figure out what each one had or what I was looking at. There were lots of cupcake options, but the best flavor was definitely the peanut butter & chocolate. I'm looking forward to trying more flavors! A side note - as someone with a wheelchair bound family member, this is not a place that I'd be able to take them unfortunately as there's only stairs to get inside. It's not accessible and inside it way too tight for them to be able to maneuver. read more

Granted I have only tried the banana crème pie ones (vanilla cake filled with banana mousse topped with caramel and cream cheese frosting, a Nilla wafer & vanilla drizzle) but they were so good! The menu changes weekly (it's listed on Instagram) and they often have mini cupcakes if you order ahead for major holidays. All of them had some kind of stuffing/filling, very sweet. Snickers: 12/10 . Fantastic taste, but would love a little more peanut flavor besides just the peanuts on top. Otherwise, tastes just like a snickers! Fantastic. Would recommend this a thousand times over. Chocolate chip cookie dough: 8/10 icing was very sweet but did taste like cookie dough. The cake itself was awesome and had chocolate chips in it. It was the perfect balance between moist and dense. I was a student at WCU and would frequently come to the cozy coffee shop, sit at the wide window looking out on High Street and get schoolwork done with the amazing smell of cupcakes wafting through the air. Their honey lavender latte is amazing--and paired with the chocolate peanut butter cupcake? To die for. Cupcakes are delicious but quite expensive at $3 per. But people (including myself) are willing to splurge because it's hard to find cupcakes like these. No one likes the word "moist" but if there were a time to use it, it'd be in this Dia Doce review. These cupcakes are moist, moist, moist. In terms of ambiance, a great place to meet up with one other person for coffee/to chat, but a group of 3 or more would be hard due to the way the size of the tables and the way they're set up. I'm not a huge fan of S'mores (don't really like marshmallows) but our server suggested it and I'm glad I took her recommendation. Don't waste these cupcakes on children or people who don't love dessert and thereby can't appreciate the art and craft put into creating one of these cupcakes (I guess, unless you were trying to convert a non-sweets person into one). read more

This is awkward. Like when you had a great date but you don't want to call too soon and seem desperate. I was in West Chester yesterday and stopped at Dia Doce for 6 cupcakes. I made the 30-40 minute drive home, ate my cupcakes (with assistance...I'm not that bad) and wished that I made out with more than 6. I had a cupcake with a chocolate center that was my soulmate. I got out of the shower this morning and was thinking about Dia Doce. I thought...maybe in another week I could go up there. So then I'm at the gas station pumping gas with Dia Doce on my mind. I just went for it. I spent about 80 minutes in the car round trip. This time I got 12. Each and every flavor is rich and the cake so moist. Great fresh fruity flavors too. These cupcakes are for adults. Sure, you can share with your kids but you probably won't want to. You'll question if they can even appreciate the refinement. Their palates just aren't mature enough...or cavities...or...seriously I considered getting them grocery store cupcakes so I could just have all the Dia Doces to myself but that would have been MEAN. Everything tastes freshly baked. You definitely won't be questioning whether or not your cupcake is a week old here. Parking is a pain but it's so freaking cute out here that you won't care that much. The inside made me feel like I was on Friends. And they were totally playing some great 90's hits. read more

Honestly, not even close. Always fresh, always flavorful, and worth breaking any diet for. Couldn't help but notice Brian C.'s RoTD for Dia Doce plastered up as his profile picture. He actually did a great job of making me want to try the place, and like, as a priority. So on the next trip to WC, we went! This is coming from someone who normally HATES cupcakes, like really hates the whole zeitgeist of putting a silly kiddie snack on a gourmet pedestal. And, I also normally HATE chocolate cake. So it is a tough ask for me to like a chocolate cupcake. BUT with five solid solid stars, this place totally rocked my world! Even at the better bakeries, cupcakes are normally drier than regular cakes because they are so small, and have all that surface area exposed to the oven. It is really hard to make a moist, texturally tender cupcake, thus why I normally think cupcakes as a culinary pursuit are just foolish. But this place has skilz (with a z)!!!! The chocolate peanut butter is a pain in the rear to eat, because the glaze on it is all goopy, but it is a SFG-er for sure. They have like devil's food chocolate cake that is so moist you'd think it would fall apart, yet it stays together, even with the PB frosting injection, and the chocolate glaze weighing it down. It is the perfect storm of messy deliciousness. Another SFG-er is the lemon-lavender... really well-rendered flavor, perfect tartness with sugar, just very intense lemon taste for a cake (which normally blands down flavors due to all that flour). Those were my tops, but actually, they are all SFG-ers. You can't go wrong, really. You are not going to leave disappointed unless you show up and they are all out of cupcakes. I loved these things so much that I actually called them the day after I went in, and thanked them for creating such wonderful food. I also asked them where their truck went (that Bri-C mentioned) so I could try to stalk it down for more. Anyway, can't wait to go back! * * * TIP * * * Pronounced "Dee-ya Dose-say" (I would have done Doce like "Doh-chay"). * * * TIP * * * Parking stinks along that stretch of High Street, so we live-parked, and just missed a ticket, with the parking cop walking up to the car. Best cupcakes in the West Chester area and there are some good bakeries in the area. I personally prefer their chocolate-based cupcakes over the vanilla ones. Likely the same cake recipe but the chocolate has a terrific aftertaste which isn't overpowering or too sweet. If you even modestly like chocolate, you'll love these chocolate cupcakes. The only downside is that they tend to sell out of their most popular flavors earlier in the day. read more

I'm from Virginia Beach, VA and have been to a couple cupcake shops, even ones that have been on the food network as well but Dia Doce has to be the best one I've been to yet. Not only do they have many flavors but they offer gluten free as well. My boyfriend's mom was able to eat a cupcake and she thought it was perfectly and moist. We don't have a lot of bakeries here that offer gluten free cupcakes that are a 10/10. I got the carrot cake cupcake and my taste buds were very happy as well. It was perfectly moist and had great flavor, not too sweet either. What I also love about this place is the fact that the cupcakes weren't too pricey compared to ones here in Virginia Beach.
