I have to say that this has got to be the worst delivery service I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. This was now my 2nd attempt in 4 days to use the service. On my 1st attempt I was contacted almost 3 hours after I placed my order only to be told that they decided to close early and that they wouldn't be able to honor the order. On my 2nd attempt today to use the service, I was met with yet another call from on of it's employees stating that they would once again not be able honor my order despite the fact that I had paid online in advance. I had requested that my order be cancelled and my money refunded at which time I was told I would have to wait approximately 6 business days to receive the funds. The transaction was done on my debit/visa and could be easily reversed if they chose to be more helpful. I had only chosen to use this company due to the fact that my vehicle is being repaired at the moment. Otherwise I would have just gone to pick it up myself. If given the option I would have preferred to rate this company at zero stars instead of only 1. My dealings with this company has been aggravating to say the least and has been a complete waste of my time, money and patience. Will NOT use this company again and certainly will NOT recommend to anyone else. read more

The first couple times I used this service were great. The last two times there has been no communication whatsoever about my order. Both orders were not delivered within the selected timelines, nor was there any communication about when I could expect them. We have been loyal customers for years and this is the third time they haven't delivered in the last 3 months. I called two different times after I ordered to make sure it was going to be delivered. Both times I was assured it would arrive. They used to have enough drivers, now they don't. Find another service but be careful because this company owns several phone numbers. read more

I called last week and made an order for 6 tall boy of j.r. (12$) they got here and charged me $31.60. I paid it but was hesitant and felt like something was off. I called today to mention I was over charged by x amount and was also placing an order for another 6 pack, same brand. I waited 2 hours and called them to ask where the drivers at. Don't bother to book online unless you call and find out if they have a "driver" for where you live. I live in the W end of the city and after postponing the delivery 4 days. I received an email letting me know my order was cancelled because they did not have a driver. I'd pass on this service unless you live in the downtown core. read more

It's difficult to believe that in this day and age that there still crooks like the Beer Guy (Dial a Bottle: same owners and delivery punks) that manage to stay in business... I can assure you that EVERYTIME you order alcohol through this shady business you will pay double if not triple what you would pay at LCBO or a Beer Store. And, if by accident should you get the driver named Anson-you will most necessary need a drink after dealing with that tweeny brush-cut, six-foot "dude" who wears his sunglasses at night, oh yeah, don't keep any cash at home-I'm not kidding. Recently on a 65$ purchase he attempted to charge me 98$. I said: in your dreams? He got in a fit three me my empty wine bottles and left my building in a boyish rage. How else can I say this? DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. There's nowhere to complain, not listed with the BBB and my Credit Card was unable to locate them anywhere. Scam! Was repeatedly hung up on after getting through to an agent. Just wanted to ask a question but apparently it was too much for them to handle a 416 number calling to ask a question. Seven attempts: waited on hold until someone picked up, then they saw my number and hung up. How this company is still in business is beyond me. read more

So I ordered some beer today from this service. They told me it would be about an hour. Just 5 minutes short of 2 hours in, I was getting impatient and decided to call back. When the agent answered I was asked for my phone number, was cut off midway and was transferred. The 2nd agent who answered said I was transferred to Toronto by mistake. He said someone would call be right back. 20 minutes went by so I decided to call back. The person who answered said they had been trying to reach the driver for an hour without success. You'd figure I would have been notified of this. They asked me if I wanted to cancel. What I really wanted was to just place a new order. Their driver was their problem. But it seemed that my only option was to wait for this driver to materialize, or cancel my order. I was literally told I would be called if they could get a hold of the driver. Another 25 minutes went by. I called again. When I gave the woman my phone number, all she greeted me with was yeah, so you want to cancel? I replied uh yeah? Because I wasnt going to sit around all day. All the operator said was ok no problem and hung up on me. No apology, no solution, no 2nd order. Zero accountability. I will be grabbing an uber to the beer store and back next time. A tad bit more pricey, but infinitely more reliable. read more

They used to be good, but fir the last 3 months or so it's hit and miss. There have been times when they just don't show up, they bring the wrong thing or they call to cancel with little explanation and no offer to correct the issue. I've used this service too many times to count lol. I'm giving them 4 stars because I have noticed that they are trying to be more customer service focused as of recently. I'm a very blunt person and the truth is that if you are looking for deliveries in kanata or barrhaven a lot of the time you end up waiting for 2+ hours. That being said if you if you speak with the supervisor (I think they are called dispatch) they will do their best to accommodate you for the longer than advertised wait times. The company needs to improve upon some elements of their service however that being said as long as you are respectful and clearly communicate your needs then they are a company to keep in your contacts read more

Liquor delivery service is convenient, but on several occasions, if the night is too busy, Dial A Bottle will just not get around to filling your order. This has happened to me on two different occasions, and both times, they don't contact you to tell you that they're sorry and won't be coming. They also do not respond to email inquiries. read more
