The deep tissue massage WAS deep, but kind of lopsided ... my left side was neglected a little, a meh. They add on $2 if you pay with a card ... they don't tell you that up front, bad form (I would have paid in cash if I had known), not cool. They start the 1 hour timer the second you get in the room ... this includes a brief minute while she sets up, time to undress and then waiting for her to come back in to begin the massage. (5+ minutes taken off the 60 minutes I paid for), not cool. In the middle of the massage, she left the room twice to answer a bell. One absence was 4 minutes (so that reduced my actual massage time to 50 minutes), not cool. The total time clocked on the timer in the room was 57 minutes (so now I'm down to a 47 minute massage), poor form. I paid for 60. Consider yourself warned. I won't be going back.

Which made me feel very uncomfortable.I proceeded to walk in and the lady said to me you have an appointment I said yes at 12 o'clock for a foot massage. She pointed to the sign and said massage or body massage. I said foot massage. She said $60 for 30 minutes which I felt was a little expensive. I was already feeling a little uneasy in the environment because being a older woman I've had my share of foot and body massage massages. This environment was not a typical massage place. I should've turned around because there was something wrong with the setting of this establishment. She proceeded to tell me I needed to pay $60 before the service was even completed. I responded with I have never paid before I receive the service before and she just proceeded to smirk at me. I(I agree I should've left), but I just felt like I made I didn't wanna break the appointment because with the up and up establishment that would've been very rude to me, but even though I felt very uneasy starting with the doorbell on the front of the building to get in. I gave her $60 in cash. She proceeded to count it, put it in her pocket and told me to go to the room which I have never laid on a bed for a foot massage. Any other foot massage I have ever had was over a foot bowl with warm water and oils to soften your feet. I just keep telling myself this place is not for a foot massage. I should've left!!! I Should've left!!! I walked into the room. There was no pillowcase on the pillow. She threw a hand towel over the top of a pillow. I could not relax. All I could hear was the clock that would tik tok to every squeeze and pull to my feet. There was no essentials aroma smells or soothing music nothing but dead silence with a clock that was ticking. She might of used one or two pumps for the whole foot massage of 30 minutes. She put a blanket on me which I have never experienced for a foot massage. She proceeded to massage my feet by pulling on my toes and pinching my feet and pounding on my calves. I heard the doorbell and then a gentleman walked in and the lady said do you have a appointment? He said no and then he said do you have availability for one hour massage and she said yes go lay down in the room. She never asked him to pay before the service. This place is sketchy stay away. Once she left the room I put my shoes and socks back on I wanted to know what she was using on my foot massage, and it was Sauve body lotion!! I SHOULD HAVE LEFT!! I wanted to ask for my money back, but I was in a situation that I shouldn't be in and this establishment wasn't for a foot massage!!! I didn't trust the environment.!!! It was the worst experience I've ever experienced in my lifetime !! Lessoned learned!!! I will never be back to Spa Massage THERAPY on 27th Street.

I took my shoes off but carried them up with me as I preferred to just keep them in my room as opposed to downstairs. If it was the wintertime I would have likely kept my shoes downstairs. It wasn't an issue. The entire space is clean and quiet. I was greeted by Sasha and directed to the room I would be in when I walked upstairs. We chatted a bit about how the session would go. I appreciate how Sasha took the time to review my intake form in advance. Thank you! Shortly into the massage Sasha asked how the pressure was but other than that I was treated to a very relaxing environment without any chatter. There was some classical music playing and I was asked if I wanted to add a scent to the oil - I chose eucalyptus. It was apparent that Sasha paid attention to areas that needed more work or were tighter than other spots. This wasn't a one-size fits all massage which is exactly I had hoped for. I was able to fully relax and felt less tense after. The foot scrub was at the end of the massage and it was a nice way to bring me back to reality before the end of the session. I especially enjoyed the hotel towel wraps. Overall I was very happy with my massage and glad that I tried out a new place. I plan to be a repeat customer!

She masks the whole time and has you mask when on your back. Her massages include hot stone if you like and aromatherapy at no additional charge (as of this review). Her space is small but cozy and soothing - I prefer places that are a bit smaller and hers fits the bill perfectly. She has amazing rates and discounts if you book a package. The online booking system is so easy to use! Parking in front of her building is also easy and free. In short, Sasha is a wonderful masseuse who takes health and safety seriously - cannot recommend her enough!
