You get soo much more from booking with Diamond DJs then just amazing music, a smooth flowing wedding, and so many compliments. DJ Mel is a coordinator, a master bussel doer (she did my dress bussels when my bridesmaids totally blanked out), a wedding planner, etc. and she goes above and beyond her title of DJ. Mel made sure my husband (the groom) and myself (the bride) had drinks if we needed them, grabbed a small plate of appetizers for us to munch on so we weren't starving and walked us through all the steps of our amazing wedding. DJ Mel knows what she is doing, she knows how to read a crowd, she plays all the best music and she creates an environment that is soo much fun, your guests will be dancing and partying all night long. Mel and her husband were AMAZING and I can't recommend Diamond DJ'S highly enough! First - her prices are outstanding. All other DJ's quoted me at least $300 more than her so that enticed me to enquire more. When I met Mel I knew she was going to be the DJ for me. I'm writing this review from my honeymoon right now. Melanie was amazing for my wedding. We booked for for her stellar performance at our friend's wedding a few years back, so she is certainly consistent. She was incredibly attentive, keeping us posted on timeframes, making announcements, and even bringing us drinks and asking if there anything else we needed. She is so much more than simply a DJ, she is also basically a second wedding coordinator, and she treated us like friends the entire time. She and her husband even helped with some of the tear down after the reception. One noteworthy event was how she got everyone on the dance floor by teaching the Wobble. I wholeheartedly recommend Melanie for any of your DJ needs. She was so incredible, and my wife and I are in agreement that her performance was certainly a high point of the evening. I don't know what I would have done without her (Melanie) she was a saint at my wedding. My grooms pants didn't end up fitting him right, she worked her magic & he was presentable down on the aisle! Then we couldn't find bags that was needed for decorations, she searched the whole venue until they were found. While I was getting ready she came & asked if there was anything I needed. New Years Eve at Old Town was Off the Hook. My Fiance and I hear this DJ for the 1st time. She was Awesome, played to the Crowd's Requests and kept the Dance floor busy all Night Long. When we were looking for a DJ for our wedding reception, we went out to Old Town in Clovis to check out Melanie, who is there every Tuesday night. We were pleasantly surprised by a bubbly gal who seemed to understand just what we were looking for. The night of the event she showed up early, and was set up and playing music half an hour before her "start" time. She was helping out with things that weren't even a part of her job. So many people kept telling us at our reception, "Your DJ is awesome!" Melanie is the absolute BEST! We are so happy that we found her and that she was the DJ for our wedding in August. We met with her twice before the wedding and she went over everything with us, even things we hadn't thought of yet, and gave us her cell number just in case there was anything we needed to talk to her about. She gave us a little booklet to fill out with the songs we want and the names of all the people in our bridal party, as well as a nice timeline to get an idea of how things would flow at the wedding. Our wedding was outdoors in Shaver Lake area and she came up early on the day of to get everything set up with her husband. She set up everything for the ceremony site and the reception site since they were in two locations. We never heard any popping noises or feedback on the microphones at all that entire day, which I feel like is a rare thing at weddings. After the ceremony, while the bridal party was taking pictures during cocktail hour, Melanie brought us all food from the snack tables and she brought us all water bottles since it was warm out. She went so far above and beyond! Once dancing started, there was never a dull moment where a song comes on that people don't like and they all start to leave. The dance floor was constantly full and her song choices were just right! She also didn't just stand behind the DJ table, but she walked out and made the announcements, she had a very good presence. So many people that were helping us with the wedding that day have complimented Melanie and how great she was to work with.
